Partition coefficient prediction of Baker's yeast invertase in aqueous two phase systems using hybrid group method data handling neural network

A hybrid GMDH neural network model has been developed in order to predict the partition coefficients of invertase from Baker's yeast. ATPS experiments were carried out changing the molar average mass of PEG(1500–6000 Da), p H(4.0–7.0), percentage of PEG(10.0–20.0 w/w), percentage of MgSO_4(8.0–16.0 w/w), percentage of the cell homogenate(10.0–20.0 w/w) and the percentage of MnSO_4(0–5.0 w/w) added as cosolute. The network evaluation was carried out comparing the partition coefficients obtained from the hybrid GMDH neural network with the experimental data using different statistical metrics. The hybrid GMDH neural network model showed better fitting(AARD = 32.752%) as well as good generalization capacity of the partition coefficients of the ATPS than the original GMDH network approach and a BPANN model. Therefore hybrid GMDH neural network model appears as a powerful tool for predicting partition coefficients during downstream processing of biomolecules.

With the expansion of eucalyptus crops to areas with severe water limitations,physiological studies involving eucalyptus clones to identify those that are tolerant to water stress become *** objective of this study was to assess morphological and physiological responses by eucalyptus clones subjected to drought stress and *** experiment consisted of three eucalyptus clones:vC865,I224 and I144 and two water regimes:control and water stress followed by rehydration,with six *** water potential,gas exchange,maximum quantum efficiency of photo systemⅡand plant height and stem diameter were evaluated under drought stress and ***6 d of rehydration,the number of leaves,leaf area and dry mass of root,leaf,stem and their total were *** clones showed intense reduction of gas exchange during the drought stress period,and only vC865 and 1144 showed rapid recovery with 3 d of *** 1224 showed greater reduction in height,stem diameter,number of leaves,water potential at midday(Ψ_(w)_(Midday)),and maximum quantum efficiency of photosystemⅡ(F_(v)/F_(m)).Clones vC865and T144 showed lower reductions inΨ_(wMidday)and F_(v)/F_(m) under ***865 had lower reductions in leaf number,leaf area and higher leaf dry mass,while clone I144 had higher height and lower reduction in root dry mass *** these clones showed higher water use efficiency with 3d of *** different phenotypic plasticities gave the clones vC865 and 1144 efficient mechanisms of acclimatization to stress and more drought tolerance,enhancing their greater capacity for recovery after stress,which allowed lower dry mass *** 1224,however,was more susceptible to drought stress,undergoing greater physiological damage with only partial recovery during rehydration.

Motion-driven electromagnetictriboelectric energy generators(E-TENGs) hold a Hybrid triboelectric-electromagnetic generators C A Bgreat potential to provide higher voltages,higher currents and wider operating bandwidths than Cantilever generators1 μm both electromagnetic and triboelectric generators Rotating generatorsSliding generators standing alone. Therefore,they are promising solutions to autonomously supply a broad range of Flexible blade generators Magnetoelectric highly sophisticated devices. This paper provides generators a thorough review focused on major recent breakLinear generators Multidimensional generators throughs in the area of electromagnetic-triboelectric vibrational energy harvesting. A detailed Pendulum generators analysis was conducted on various architectures including rotational,pendulum,linear,sliding,cantilever,flexible blade,multidimensional and 1 cm magnetoelectric,and the following hybrid technologies. They enable highly e cient ways to harvest electric energy from many forms of vibrational,rotational,biomechanical,wave,wind and thermal sources,among others. Open-circuit voltages up to 75 v,short-circuit currents up to 60 mA and instantaneous power up to 144 mW were already achieved by these nanogenerators. Their transduction mechanisms,including proposed models to make intelligible the involved physical phenomena,are also overviewed here. A comprehensive analysis was performed to compare their respective construction designs,external excitations and electric outputs. The results highlight the potential of hybrid E-TENGs to convert unused mechanical motion into electric energy for both large-and small-scale ***,this paper proposes future research directions toward optimization of energy conversion e ciency,power management,durability and stability,packaging,energy storage,operation input,research of transduction mechanisms,quantitative standardization,system integration,miniaturization and multi-energy hybrid cells.

Biochar has been proposed as a soil amendment to reclaim salt-affected ***,the evaluation of the different biochar types in these soils is essential due to the significant variation among biochar *** this study,biochars from sugarcane bagasse(SB),orange bagasse(OB),and corncob(CB)were applied alone and in the presence of gypsum(G)to test their potential to remediate a highly degraded saline-sodic soil in Brazil´s Northeast *** that,we conducted a laboratory column-leaching experiment and a greenhouse *** the column-leaching test,we analyzed the sodium adsorption ratio(SAR),the electrical conductivity of the saturation extract(ECe),the concentrations of major ions,and the exchangeable sodium percentage(ESP).Maize plants were grown in the leached soil in a ***-and corncob-derived biochars were more efficient than gypsum in reducing the soil salinity,bringing the indicators below threshold values,and optimizing soil reclamation *** ECe,SAR,and ESP were reduced to 3.42 dS m−1,1.64(mmolc dm−3)0.5 and 4.86%,respectively,in the SB treatment;and to 3.19 dS m−1,0.88(mmolc dm−3)0.5 and 2.53%,respectively,in the CB *** bagasse biochar did not effectively reduce the salinity *** biochar treatments improved seed germination and plant *** SB,CB,SBG,and CBG treatments increased plant height(478–558%),shoot mass(783–983%),and root mass(386–500%),***,the application of SB and CB is an effective alternative to remediate saline-sodic soils and to reduce the impact of soil salinity in the environment.
