Plasmonic tandem heterojunctions enable high-efficiency charge transfer for broad spectrum photocatalytic hydrogen production

Rational engineering of semiconductor photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen production is of great significance but still challenging,primarily due to the limitations in charge transfer ***,a fascinating plasmonic tandem heterojunction with the hc-CdS/Mo2C@C heterostructure is aimfully prepared for effectively promoting the charge separation kinetics of the CdS photocatalyst via the synergistic strategy of phase junction,Schottky junction,and photothermal *** difference in atomic configuration between cubic-CdS （c-CdS） and hexagonal-CdS （h-CdS） leads to effective charge separation through a typical Ⅱ charge transfer mechanism,and plasmonic Schottky junction further extracts the electrons in the hc-CdS phase junction to realize gradient charge ***,the photothermal effect of Mo2C@C helps to expand the light absorption,accelerate charge transfer kinetics,and reduce the hydrogen evolution energy *** carbon layer provides a fast channel for charge transfer and protects the photocatalyst from *** a result,the optimized hc-CMC photocatalyst exhibits a significantly high photocatalytic H2production activity of 28.63 mmol/g/h and apparent quantum efficiency of 61.8%,surpassing most of the reported *** study provides a feasible strategy to enhance the charge transfer kinetics and photocatalytic activity of CdS by constructing plasmonic tandem heterogeneous junctions.

Optimal Dispatch of Electricity-gas-hydrogen Hybrid Integrated Energy System Considering Seasonal Hydrogen Storage

Seasonal electricity imbalance in a renewable-dominant power system results in long-term and short-term coordinated scheduling challenges. therefore, an optimal scheduling model of an electricity-gas-hydrogen hybrid integrated energy system considering seasonal hydrogen storage is proposed based on electricity-gas-hydrogen coupling. First, typical scenarios in high- and low-energy seasons are obtained based on time series decomposition and scene clustering method. then, the operation model of the electricity-gas-hydrogen hybrid integrated energy system is developed based on the DC power flow model of the power system, and the quasi-dynamic natural-gas flow model considers green hydrogen injections. Moreover, sequential second-order cone programming is proposed to efficiently deal with nonlinear constraints in the gas flow model. Finally, numerical results verify the proposed model's economy and the solution method's feasibility. the multi-energy coupling relationship between electricity, gas, and hydrogen under seasonal hydrogen storage is also analyzed. Simulation results show that the operating cost of the proposed model is reduced by 6.43% compared with that obtained from traditional electricity-gas systems. © 2025 Power System technology Press. Impact of Phase-locked Loop Dynamics on transient Over-voltage in VSC due to Switching Delays

With the implementation of the "emission peak, carbon neutrality" strategy, the proportion of renewable energy is increasing, and the grid strength of the power system is getting weaker. this leads to high transient over-voltage problems caused by AC short circuits. the paper analyzes the impact of phase-locked loop (PLL) dynamics on the transient over-voltage in a voltage source converter (VSC) due to switching delays after low voltage ride-through (LVRt). the results show that the point of common coupling (PCC) voltage phase generally jumps backward at the moment of fault clearing, and the reactive current during the switching delay no longer equals the reference value due to PLL. When VSC only injects reactive current during LVRt, the phenomenon will improve the transient over-voltage. However, if the active current is injected simultaneously, the transient over-voltage level may deteriorate under some parameters of PLL. In addition, this paper also analyzes the principle of PLL parameter adjustment to ensure that the PLL dynamics improve the transient over-voltage. Electromagnetic transient simulation by MAtLAB verifies the results. © 2025 Power System technology Press. All rights reserved.

Electronic structure and ultraviolet spectra of p-C_(6)H_(4)-C_(20)

Geometry optimization of p-C_(6)H_(4)-connected cyclo[20]carbon(p-C_(6)H_(4)-C_(20))was carried out at M062X/6-311G(d,p)level,three kinds of bond orders(Mayer,Laplacian,and Wiberg),electron-hole distributions,localized orbital locators(LOL),and infrared(IR)spectrum were also performed at the same *** on tD-DFt M062X/6-311G(d,p)method,the first 20 excited states and ultraviolet(UV)spectra of p-C_(6)H_(4)-C_(20) were *** results of π-electron delocalization analyses prove thatπ-electron delocalization of p-C_(6)H_(4)-C_(20) is more likely to occur on shorter C-C bonds rather than longer C-C bonds,and inside/outside of the ring plane rather than above/below the ring *** absorption peaks of p-C_(6)H_(4)-C_(20) locate at about 319 nm and 236 nm,respectively.

Flexible wearable optoelectronic devices fabricated fromorganic–inorganic hybrid perovskites significantly accelerate the developmentof portable energy,biomedicine,and sensing fields,but their poor thermal stabilityhinders further ***,all-inorganic perovskites possessexcellent thermal stability,but black-phase all-inorganic perovskite filmusually requires high-temperature annealing steps,which increases energy consumptionand is not conducive to the fabrication of flexible wearable *** this work,an unprecedented low-temperature fabrication of stable blackphaseCsPbI3perovskite films is demonstrated by the in situ hydrolysis reactionof diphenylphosphinic chloride *** released diphenyl phosphateand chloride ions during the hydrolysis reaction significantly lower the phasetransition temperature and effectively passivate the defects in the perovskitefilms,yielding high-performance photodetectors with a responsivity of 42.1 AW−1 and a detectivity of 1.3×10^(14)***,high-fidelity imageand photoplethysmography sensors are demonstrated based on the fabricated flexible wearable *** work provides a newperspective for the low-temperature fabrication of large-area all-inorganic perovskite flexible optoelectronic devices.

Experimental Study on Deoxidization of Bariumand Barium Alloy

Based on the review of latest papers related to the application of barium alloy, the deoxidization effects of barium and barium alloy, and the dynamic characteristics of molten bath have been systematically studied by means of the convection free bath, natural convection bath, air and vacuum induction melting experiments. It was found that both the total oxygen content and soluble oxygen content in molten bath decreased rapidly. the results obtained provided practical and theoretical basis for further synthetic applications of barium alloy in metallurgical industry.

Further numerical investigation on concrete dynamic behaviors with considering stress non-equilibrium in SHPB test based on the waveform features

In this study,with the meso-scale model reliably validated in our previous work(Construction and Building Materials,2018),the waveform features of plain concrete under various loading conditions and especially with considering stress non-equilibrium are reliably reproduced and *** with waveform features,the violation indicator of the specimen stress equilibrium in the split Hopkinson pressure bar test is identified for concrete-like damage softening *** concrete material behaviors for stress non-equilibrium are further analyzed,*** dynamic increase factor(DIF)and damage development,*** conception of“damage failure volume”is introduced,and a new method of defining the development of concrete dynamic damage is given in the nimierical ***’s more,the“compression wave”and“double peak”phenomena observed in the experiment are further interpreted based on the means of numerical *** features how to reflect the concrete material properties is also *** results show that,the disappearance of the“double peak” phenomenon of reflection curve under high strain rate can be regarded as the indicator of the violation of stress *** the violation of the stress equilibrium,the relevant DIFs of the concrete specimen will not change ***,the concrete specimen will turn into structural response from material *** conception of“damage failure volume”can well explain the generation of the“double peak”phenomenon of the reflection *** “compression wave” phenomenon of reflection curve under lower strain rates is derived from the unloading expansion recovery of the concrete ***,under the same loading condition,the amplitude of the first peak of the reflection curve can be used as the evaluation standard of the bonding quality between mortar and aggregates.

Formation of tiAlSi intermetallics during heating ti-A356 Al mixed powder compact at semisolid temperature

Due to the similarity in composition and crystal structure of some ti Al Si ternary intermetallics,it is quite difficult to accurately confirm their physic characteristics,and thus,to tailor microstructure to improve mechanical properties of metal materials related to the ti Al Si ***,the formation process of ti Al Si intermetallics was investigated during heating ti-A356 mixed powder compact at a A356 alloy semisolid temperature of 595℃.the results indicated that two kinds of intermetallics ofτ1(tetragonal,I41/amd)andτ2(orthorhombic,Cmcm)generated,and both the concentration and supply direction of ti atoms,which are related to local breakage of oxide films on neighboring ti and A356 alloy powders,determined the phase and morphology of the intermetallics.τ1 andτ2 crystals all had an intrinsic plate morphology,butτ2 crystals were thinner due to more anisotropic growth resulted from their high density of stacking faults(SFs).τ1 lamellar domains generated during growth ofτ2 crystals,which were accompanied by decrease in density of *** combined effect of size difference and internal energy difference betweenτ1 andτ2 crystals made largeτ1 crystals coarsen at the expense ofτ2 crystals in Ostwald ripening,leading them to finally evolve into an agglomerate of largeτ1 plates.

Hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells protect neurons from cardiac arrest-induced pyroptosis

Cardiac arrest can lead to severe neurological impairment as a result of inflammation,mitochondrial dysfunction,and post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation neurological *** preconditioning has been shown to improve migration and survival of bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells and reduce pyroptosis after cardiac arrest,but the specific mechanisms by which hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells protect against brain injury after cardiac arrest are *** this end,we established an in vitro co-culture model of bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells and oxygen–glucose deprived primary neurons and found that hypoxic preconditioning enhanced the protective effect of bone marrow stromal stem cells against neuronal pyroptosis,possibly through inhibition of the MAPK and nuclear factor κB ***,we transplanted hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells into the lateral ventricle after the return of spontaneous circulation in an 8-minute cardiac arrest rat model induced by *** results showed that hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells significantly reduced cardiac arrest–induced neuronal pyroptosis,oxidative stress,and mitochondrial damage,whereas knockdown of the liver isoform of phosphofructokinase in bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells inhibited these *** conclude,hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells offer a promising therapeutic approach for neuronal injury following cardiac arrest,and their beneficial effects are potentially associated with increased expression of the liver isoform of phosphofructokinase following hypoxic preconditioning.
