The electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR) to controllable chemicals is considered as a promising pathway to store intermittent renewable energy. Herein, a set of catalysts based on copper-nitrogendoped carbon xerogel(Cu-N-C) are successfully developed varying the copper amount and the nature of the copper precursor, for the efficient CO_(2)RR. The electrocatalytic performance of Cu-N-C materials is assessed by a rotating ring-disc electrode(RRDE), technique still rarely explored for CO_(2)RR. For comparison, products are also characterized by online gas chromatography in a H-cell. The as-synthesized Cu-NC catalysts are found to be active and highly CO selective at low overpotentials(from -0.6 to -0.8 V ***) in 0.1 M KHCO_(3), while H_(2) from the competitive water reduction appears at larger overpotentials(-0.9 V vs. RHE). The optimum copper acetate-derived catalyst containing Cu-N_(4) moieties exhibits a CO_(2)-to-CO turnover frequency of 997 h^(-1) at -0.9 V vs. RHE with a H_(2)/CO ratio of 1.8. These results demonstrate that RRDE configuration can be used as a feasible approach for identifying electrolysis products from CO_(2)RR.

Industry decarbonization requires the development of highly efficient and flexible technologies relying on renewable energy resources,especially biomass and solar/wind *** the case of pure oxygen production,oxygen transport membranes(OTMs)appear as an alternative technology for the cryogenic distillation of air,the industrially-established process of producing ***,OTMs could provide oxygen from different sources(air,water,CO_(2),etc.),and they are more flexible in adapting to current processes,producing oxygen at 700^(-1)000℃.Furthermore,OTMs can be integrated into catalytic membrane reactors,providing new pathways for different *** first part of this study was focused on electrification on a traditional OTM material(Ba_(0.5)sr_(0.5)Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)O_(3-δ)),imposing different electric currents/voltages along a capillary *** to the emerging joule effect,the membrane-surface temperature and the associated O_(2) permeation flux could be ***,the OTM is electrically and locally heated and reaches 900℃on the surface,whereas the surrounding of the membrane was maintained at 650℃.The O_(2)permeation flux reached for the electrified membranes was~3.7 Nml min^(-1)cm^(-2),corresponding to the flux obtained with an OTM non-electrified at 900℃.The influence of depositing a porous Ce_(0.8)Tb_(0.2)O_(2-δ) catalytic/protective layer on the outer membrane surface revealed that lower surface temperatures(830℃)were detected at the same imposed electric ***,the electrification concept was demonstrated in a catalytic membrane reactor(CMR)where the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane(ODHE)was carried *** reaction is very sensitive to temperature,and here,we demonstrate an improvement of the ethylene yield by reaching moderate temperatures in the reaction chamber while the O_(2) injection into the reaction can be easily fine-tuned.

The triggering mechanism for radio lobes from late-type galaxies is not fully *** samples are desired for a thorough investigation and *** utilizing the optical data from the newly released Dark Energy spectroscopic Instrument imaging surveys and the radio sources from the NRAO VlA sky survey and the Faint Images of the Radio sky at Twenty-centimeter,we identify four late-type Galaxies with double Radio lobes(la GRls):j0217-3645,j0947+6220,j1412+3723 and j1736+*** previously known la GRls,we confirm the correlation between radio power P_(1.4GHz)and stellar mass M_(*)of host ***(25/35)la GRls belong to the blue cloud galaxies,while the newly identified cases in this work are located within the region of the red *** find a clear correlation between the differential radio power,i.e.,the offset from the P_(1.4GHz)-M_(*)relation,and the galaxy color,indicating that bluer galaxies at a fixed M_(*)tend to host more powerful radio ***,the majority(31/36)of la GRls are either located in a galaxy group or displaying a disturbed *** suggest that all of the galaxy mass,color and surrounding environment could play important roles in triggering radio lobes in late-type galaxies.

The current spotlight of cancer therapeutics is shifting towards personalized medicine with the widespread use of monoclonal antibodies(mAbs).Despite their increasing potential,mAbs have an intrinsic limitation related to their inability to cross cell membranes and reach intracellular *** offers promising solutions to overcome this limitation,however,formulation challenges *** challenges are the limited loading capacity(often insufficient to achieve clinical dosing),the complex formulation methods,and the insufficient characterization of mAb-loaded ***,we present a new nanocarrier consisting of hyaluronic acid-based nanoassemblies(HANAs)specifically designed to entrap mAbs with a high efficiency and an outstanding loading capacity(50%,w/w).HANAs composed by an mAb,modified HA and phosphatidylcholine(PC)resulted in sizes of~100 nm and neutral surface *** modeling identified the principal factors governing the high affinity of mAbs with the amphiphilic HA and *** composition and structural configuration were analyzed using the orthogonal techniques cryogenic transmission electron microscopy(cryo-TEM),asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation(AF4),and small-angle X-ray scattering(sAXs).These techniques provided evidence of the formation of core-shell nanostructures comprising an aqueous core surrounded by a bilayer consisting of phospholipids and amphiphilic *** vitro experiments in cancer cell lines and macrophages confirmed HANAs’low toxicity and ability to transport mAbs to the intracellular *** reproducibility of this assembling process at industrial-scale batch sizes and the long-term stability was *** conclusion,these results underscore the suitability of HANAs technology to load and deliver biologicals,which holds promise for future clinical translation.
