Acid doped Polyaniline(PANI)due to their increased electrical conductivity,are considered to be the most promising conducting filler ***,the present study,reports the synthesis of the PANI followed by acid doping,electrical conductivity and dielectric properties measurements of H2SO4;HCl and(***+NaNO2mixture)doped *** order to know the effect of acetone washing on the electrical properties of acid doped PANI samples,the electrical properties of the non-acetone washed acid doped PANI samples are compared with that of their acetone washed *** PANI salt was prepared by conventional route using aniline hydrochloride and ammonium persulphate as an *** salt was subjected to 0.5M NaOH to form PANI base,which was further doped separately with H2SO4;HCl and(***+NaNO2mixture)respectively followed by acetone washing.A comparative electrical conductivity study between the acetone washed and unwashed PANI salt and H2SO4,HCl and ***+NaNO2 mixture doped PANI were characterized by dielectric and impedance study.

Laboratory generated spent bleached liquor from the chlorination, caustic extraction stage of mixed wood kraft pulp processing has been analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively for various resin & fatty acids by using GC. A number of resin acids, saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, chloro fatty and resin acid have been detected and their concentrations are estimated. The results are compared with results on different agriculture residue/hardwood pulps, which were reported earlier. The concentrations of various compounds detected have also been compared with their reported LC50 values.

AIM:To examine effects of chronic methadone usage on bowel visualization,preparation,and repeat ***:In-patient colonoscopy reports from October,2004 to May,2009 for methadone dependent(MD) patients were retrospectively evaluated and compared to matched opioid naive controls(C).Strict criteria were applied to exclude patients with risk factors known to cause constipation or gastric *** reports of all eligible patients were analyzed for degree of bowel visualization,assessment of bowel preparation(good,fair,or poor),and whether a repeat colonoscopy was *** visualization was scored on a 4 point scale based on multiple prior studies:excellent = 1,good = 2,fair = 3,or poor = *** of variance(ANOVA) and Pearson χ 2 test were used for data *** analysis included correlation between methadone dose and colonoscopy *** variables significantly differing between MD and C groups were included in both univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses.P values were two sided,and < 0.05 were considered statistically ***:After applying exclusionary criteria,a total of 178 MD patients and 115 C patients underwent a colonoscopy during the designated study period.A total of 67 colonoscopy reports for MD patients and 72 for C were included for data *** and gender matched controls were randomly selected from this population to serve as controls in a numerically comparable *** average age for MD patients was 52.2 ± 9.2 years(range:32-72 years) years compared to 54.6 ± 15.5 years(range:20-81 years) for C(P = 0.27).Sixty nine percent of patients in MD and 65% in C group were males(P = 0.67).When evaluating colonoscopy reports for bowel visualization,MD patients had significantly greater percentage of solid stool(i.e.,poor visualization) compared to C(40.3% vs 6.9%,P < 0.001).Poor bowel preparation(35.8% vs 9.7%,P < 0.001) and need for repeat colonoscopy(32.8% vs 12.5%,P = 0.004)

The present paper describes the statistical modeling and optimization of a multistage gas-solid fluidized bed reactor for the control of hazardous pollutants in flue gas. In this work, we study the hydrodynamics of the pressure drop and minimum fluidization velocity. The hydrodynamics of a three-stage fluidized bed are then compared with those for a single-stage unit. It is observed that the total pressure drop over all stages of the three-stage fluidized bed is less than that of an identical single-stage system. However, the minimum fluidization velocity is higher in the single-stage unit. Under identical conditions, the minimum fluidization velocity is highest in the top bed, and lowest in the bottom bed. This signifies that the behavior of solids changes from a well-mixed flow to a plug-flow, with intermediate behavior in the middle bed.

Iron is a primary raw material for steel industry. Increase in demand for steel puts pressure on iron resources of India in respect of its grade and reserve. With increase in demand for good grade of ore vis-a-vis its limited reserve, the utilization of low to medium grade iron ores is the order of the day with adoption of advanced beneficiation techniques. In order to find out the effective way of utilization, an in depth mineralogical study is essential as it throws light on the mineralogical peculiarities associated with the ores which affect the resultant beneficiation technique as well as the final product. In order to have a detail insight into the different mineralogical attributes, various characterisation studies megascopic, microscopic (both optical & electron), XRD, mossbauer and VSM are undertaken on the iron ores from different iron ore formations of Orissa. Importance of integrated mineralogical characterisation in beneficiation of iron ores is discussed.

利用磁选和浸出技术从印度一水硬铝石样品中除铁,采用扫描电镜、电子探针显微分析仪和X射线衍射等定量矿物学评价技术进行深入的矿物学表征研究。结果表明,极细的赤铁矿颗粒与其他几种矿物相以复杂的方式结合在一起;即使粒度小于38μm,仍有约60%的赤铁矿未被解离出来;这个粒度也是物理分离过程去铁的极限。湿式强磁选研究表明,只有49%的铁可被除去。进一步的草酸浸出研究表明,在固液比0.05:1、温度90°C、时间120 min、酸浓度1 mol/L的条件下,可除去约76%的铁。铁在草酸中的溶解受化学反应控制,计算的活化能为35.15 k j/mol。
