This study was conducted to investigate the properties of Pr3+-Dy3+doped Zn2Y-type hexaferrite for potential technological applications.X-ray diffraction（XRD）,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR） and field-emission scanning electron microscopy（FESEm） were used to analyze structural *** crystallite size in the synthesized samples varies between 57.54 and 68.57 *** vibrational bands at 400 and 600 cm-1,common to all hexaferrites,were confirmed through *** FESEm analysis reveals an agglomeration of magnetic grains and a decrease in the average grain size from 1.24 to1.06 μ*** m-H loops show that,with x values of 0.0,0.1,and 0.2,the saturation magnetization is determined to be 34.76,34.23,and 32.52 emu/g,*** corresponding coercivity values are21.24,30.39,and 33.99 ***-visible spectroscopy using Tauc theory reveals an increase in the optical band gap from 2.32 to 2.50 eV,indicating a tunable energy band structure by incorporating Pr3+-Dy3+*** dielectric constant increases,whereas AC conductivity decreases with increased Pr3+-Dy3+*** obtained results suggest the potential suitability of these materials for various technological applications.

Causality,the science of cause and effect,has made it possible to create a new family of *** models are often referred to as causal *** those of mathematical,numerical,empirical,or machine learning(mL)nature,causal models hope to tie the cause(s)to the effect(s)pertaining to a phenomenon(i.e.,data generating process)through causal *** paper presents one of the first works at creating causal models in the area of structural and construction *** this end,this paper starts with a brief review of the principles of causality and then adopts four causal discovery algorithms,namely,PC(Peter-Clark),FCI(fast causal inference),GES(greedy equivalence search),and GRa SP(greedy relaxation of the sparsest permutation),have been used to examine four phenomena,including predicting the load-bearing capacity of axially loaded members,fire resistance of structural members,shear strength of beams,and resistance of walls against impulsive(blast)*** from this study reveal the possibility and merit of discovering complete and partial causal ***,this study also proposes two simple metrics that can help assess the performance of causal discovery algorithms.

A mathematical model, able to describe the recrystallization and grain growth in metals, has been developed. Taking into account the classical constitutive equations of the Taylor′s theory, the model involves only two free parameters (the dislocation density and the initial number of nuclei). Results from the model are here discussed in comparison with measurements performed on an AISI 304 stainless steel. The predictions of the model are in good agreement with experimental results. As cross check of the model prediction, the independent parameter "dislocation density"was found to properly correlate to the mechanical properties of the steel and to X-ray diffraction measurements,according to Taylor′s and Debye′s relations respectively.

It is practical, economic and sometimes essential to derive rules or conclusions by performing lesser runs of experiments. In this part, a methodology based on 2 f factorial design was brought up to derive guidelines to simulate growth curve and production of sugars by Spirulina (Arthrospira) maxima . The growth curve or accumulation process of sugars was idealized by sets of straight lines limited by phase transfers of growth or accumulation of sugars. Normal analyses of the critical values of the transfers were used to derive their linear relationships with the initial conditions of the experimental factors. These linear functions were called guidelines and were used to simulate the growth curve or accumulation of sugars. Generalization of the guideline technique was determined by the kinetic limitation of nutrient nitrogen or sulfur that was dependent upon their stoichiometric deficiency directly derived from their initial values in the medium. This method uses the initial conditions of culture and does not need measurements of concentrations of nitrate, sulfate and pigments during cultivation. It is a practical and useful alternative way to trace and predict approximately the growth curve and production of sugars by S. maxima .

The present contributions deal with the development and implementation of the direct and adjoint incompressible Navie-Stokes equations in a matrix-free time-stepping context making use of the open-source OpenFOAm~ （open source field operation and manipulation） C ＋＋ tool- box. It is shown that a few minor modifications in the source code can enable these multi-purpose computational fluid dynamics （CFD） solvers to carry out global instability analysis of three- dimensional flows of engineering interest, exploiting all additional capabilities of such codes. The strength of this methodology is demonstrated through the analysis of an interesting selection of ooen and wall-bounded flows.

Background: The heartwood (HW) proportion in the trunk of mature trees is an important characteristic not only for wood quality but also for assessing the role of forests in carbon sequestration. We have for the first time studied the proportion of HW in the trunk and the distribution of carbon and extractives in sapwood (SW) and HW of 70-80 year old Pinus sylvestris L. trees under different growing conditions in the pine forests of North-West Russia. method: We have examined the influence of conditions and tree position in stand (dominant, intermediate and suppressed trees) in the ecological series: blueberry pine forest (Blu) - lingonberry pine forest (Lin) - lichen pine forest (Lic). We have analyzed the influence of climate conditions in the biogeographical series of Lin: the middle taiga subzone - the northern taiga subzone - the transition area of the northern taiga subzone and tundra. Results: We found that the carbon concentration in HW was 1.6%-3.4% higher than in SW, and the difference depended on growing conditions. Carbon concentration in HW increased with a decrease in stand productivity (Blu-Lin-Lic). In medium-productive stands, the carbon concentration in SW was higher in intermediate and supressed trees compared to dominant trees. In the series from south to north, carbon concentration in HW increased by up to 2%, while in SW, it rose by 2.7%-3.8%. Conclusions: Our results once again emphasized the need for an empirical assessment of the accurate carbon content in aboveground wood biomass, including various forest growing conditions, to better understand the role of boreal forests in carbon storage.
