State-of-the-art on the anchorage performance of rock bolts subjected to shear load

Rock bolts are extensively utilized in underground engineering as a means of offering support and stability to rock masses in tunnels,mines,and other underground *** environments of high ground stress,faults or weak zones can frequently arise in rock formations,presenting a significant challenge for engineering and potentially leading to underground engineering *** bolts serve as a crucial structural element for the transmission of tensile stress and are capable of withstanding shear loads to prevent sliding of weak zones within rock ***,a complete understanding of the behavior of rock bolts subjected to shear loads is *** paper presents a state-of-the-art review of the research progress of rock bolts subjected to shear load in three categories:experiment,numerical simulation,and analytical *** review focuses on the research studies and developments in this area since the 1970s,providing a comprehensive overview of numerous factors that influence the anchorage performance of rock *** factors include the diameter and angle of the rock bolt installation,rock strength,grouting material,bolt material,borehole diameter,rock bolt preload,normal stress,joint surface roughness and joint expansion *** paper reviews the improvement of mechanical parameter setting in numerical simulation of rock bolt ***,it delves into the optimization of the analytical model concerning rock bolt shear theory,approached from the perspectives of both Elastic foundation beam theory coupled with Elastoplasticity theory and Structural mechanic *** significance of this review lies in its ability to provide insights into the mechanical behavior of rock *** paper also highlights the limitations of current research and guidelines for further research of rock bolts.

Modeling solubility of oxaprozin and irbesartan in biorelevant complex solutions based on a combination of pH-dependent and micellar solubilization models

Biological solubility is one of the important basic parameters in the development process of poorly soluble drugs,but the current measurement methods are mainly based on a large number of experiments,which are time-consuming and *** is still a lack of effective theoretical models to accurately describe and predict the biological solubility of drugs to reduce ***,in this study,osaprazole and irbesartan were selected as model drugs,and their solubility in solutions containing surfactants and biorelevant media was measured *** calculating the parameters of each component using the perturbed-chain statistical associating fluid theory(PC-SAFT)model,combined with pH-dependent and micellar solubilization models,the thermodynamic phase behavior of the two drugs was successfully modeled,and the predicted results were in good agreement with the experimental *** results demonstrate that the model combination used provides important basic parameters and theoretical guidance for the development and screening of poorly soluble drugs and related formulations.

Improving energy efficiency and cost reduction is a perennial challenge in *** biological systems have evolved unique functional surfaces or special physiological functions over centuries to adapt to their complex *** these biological wonders,fish,one of the oldest vertebrate groups,has garnered significant attention due to its exceptional fluid dynamics *** are actively exploring the potential of fish skin's distinctive structural and material characteristics in reducing *** this study,models of biomimetic imbricated fish scale are established,and the evolution characteristics of the flow field and drag reduction performance on these bionic surfaces are *** results showed a close relationship between the high-low velocity stripes generated and the fluid motion by the imbricated fish scale *** stripes'prominence increases with the spacing of the adjacent scales and tilt angle of the fish scale,and the velocity amplitude of the stripes decreases as the exposed length of the imbricated fish scale surface ***,the biomimetic imbricated fish scale surface can decrease the velocity gradient and thereby reduce the wall shear *** insights gained from the fish skin-inspired imbricated fish surface provide valuable perspectives for an in-depth analysis of fish hydrodynamics and offer fresh inspiration for drag reduction and antifouling strategies in engineering applications.

Construction of enhanced multi-polarization and high performance electromagnetic wave absorption by self-growing ZnFe_(2)O_(4)on Cu_(9)S_(5)

The development of 3D structural composites with electromagnetic(EM)wave absorption could attenuate EM ***,magnetized flower-like Cu_(9)S_(5)/ZnFe_(2)O_(4)composites were fabricated through a multistep hydrothermal *** crystallographic and surface phase chemical information,morphological structure,and magnetic and EM parameters of the composites were *** prepared Cu_(9)S_(5)/ZnFe_(2)O_(4)composites have multiple loss paths for EM waves and present an overall 3D flower-like *** Cu_(9)S_(5)/ZnFe_(2)O_(4)composites exhibit a minimum reflection loss of-54.38 dB and a broad effective absorption bandwidth of 5.92 *** magnetization,ZnFe_(2)O_(4)particles are self-assembled and grown on the surfaces of Cu_(9)S_(5).Such a modification is conducive to the generation of additional cross-linking contact sites and the effective introduction of a large number of phase interfaces,crystalline defects,special three-dimensional flower-like structures,and magneto-electrical coupling loss ***,the synergistic effect of multiple loss strategies effectively improves EM wave absorption by the *** work can provide a strategy for the use of magnetizationmodified sulfide composite functional materials in EM wave absorption.

Mott insulator-density ordered superfluid transition and‘shamrock transition’in a frustrated triangle lattice

Density order is usually a consequence of the competition between long-range and short-range *** we report a density ordered superfluid emergent from a homogeneous Mott insulator due to the competition between frustrations and local *** transition is found in a Bose–Hubbard model on a frustrated triangle lattice with an extra pairing ***,we find a quantum phase transition between two different density ordered superfluids,which is beyond the landau–Ginzburg(lG)paradigm.A U(1)symmetry is emergent at the critical point,while the symmetry in each density ordered superfluid is Z_(2)×Z_(3).We call the transition a‘shamrock transition’,due to its degenerate ground state in the parameter space being a shamrock-like curve rather than a circle in an lG-type *** low energy theories are established for the two transitions mentioned above and we find their resemblance and differences with clock models.

Fecal microbiota transplantation from blueberry and blackberry anthocyanins-supplemented mice ameliorated metabolic syndrome by regulating gut microbiota in a high-fat diet model

Blueberry anthocyanins (VA) and blackberry anthocyanins (RA) showed benefits on metabolic syndrome (MS) induced by high-fat diet in mice. In this study， we investigated whether the therapeutic effects of VA and RA were achieved by the gut microbiota regulation and whether these effects could be replicated through fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) using the high-fat diet caused MS model in pseudo-germ-free (PGF) mice. The results demonstrated that the beneficial effects of VA and RA on MS， including reducing body weight gain and fat accumulation， improving glucose and lipid metabolism， and mitigating intestinal barrier damage， were attributed to the gut microbiota and could be replicated by FMT. 16S rRNA sequencing analysis suggested that FMT from donor mice supplemented with VA and RA could regulate the gut microbiota composition. Particularly， FMT from RA supplemented mice displayed the potential to restore the diversity of gut microbiota and the ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes. Meanwhile， FMT from VA supplemented mice appeared to exert its effects by selectively influencing specific gut microbiota， such as the genus Akkermansia. Furthermore， our analysis identified 10 common differential ASVs among groups compared to HFD-HFD group. Notably， ASV＿36450 was negatively associated with metabolic parameters， suggesting that lactobacillus might be the potential bacteria in regulating MS. Overall， our study demonstrated that FMT from VA and RA supplemented mice could ameliorate MS induced by high-fat diet in mice through regulating specific gut microbiota.
