Quantum model simulations of attosecond electron diffraction

Ultrafast diffraction with free attosecond electron pulses promises insight into the four-dimensional motion of charge density inatoms,molecules and condensed matter. Here we consider the quantum dynamics of the electron-electron scattering process on anattosecond time scale. By numerically solving the time-dependent two-electron Schrdinger equation,we investigate the interactionof an incoming keV-range electron wavepacket by the bound electron of an aligned H+2 molecule,using a one-dimensional *** findings reveal the ratio of elastic to inelastic contributions,the role of exchange interaction,and the influence of the molecularelectron density to diffraction. Momentum transfer during the scattering process,from the incoming to the bound electron mediatedby the nuclei,leaves the bound electron in a state of coherent oscillation with attosecond recurrences. Entanglement causes relatedstate-selective oscillations in the phase shift of the scattered electron. Two scenarios of distinguishable and indistinguishable freeand bound electrons yield equivalent results,irrespective of the electronic spins. This suggests to employ the scenario of distinguishable electrons,which is computationally less demanding. Our findings support the possibility of using electron diffraction forimaging the motion of charge density,but also suggest the application of free electron pulses for inducing attosecond dynamics.

Lentil(Lens culinaris Medik.), a diploid(2n = 14) with a genome size greater than 4000 Mbp, is an important cool season food legume grown worldwide. The availability of genomic resources is limited in this crop species. The objective of this study was to develop polymorphic markers in lentil using publicly available curated expressed sequence tag information(ESTs). In this study, 9513 ESTs were downloaded from the National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI) database to develop unigene-based simple sequence repeat(SSR) markers. The ESTs were assembled into 4053 unigenes and then analyzed to identify 374 SSRs using the MISA microsatellite identification tool. Among the 374 SSRs, 26 compound SSRs were *** pairs for these SSRs were designed using Primer3 version 1.14. To classify the functional annotation of ESTs and EST–SSRs, BLASTx searches(using E-value 1 × 10-5) against the public UniP rot(http://***/) and NCBI(http://***/) databases were performed. Further functional annotation was performed using PLAZA(version3.0) comparative genomics and GO annotation was summarized using the Plant GO slim category. Among the synthesized 312 primers, 219 successfully amplified Lens DNA. A diverse panel of 24 Lens genotypes was used to identify polymorphic markers. A polymorphic set of 57 markers successfully discriminated the test genotypes. This set of polymorphic markers with functional annotation data could be used as molecular tools in lentil breeding.

Aluminum （Al） toxicity is the major limiting factor for wheat growth in acidic soils. Genetic improvement of Al tolerance is one of the most cost-effective solutions to improve wheat productivity. The objective of this study was to characterize near isogenic lines （NILs） contrasting in Al tolerance derived from Atlas 66 in the backgrounds of Al-sensitive cultivars Chisholm and Century using amplified fragment length polymorphism （AFLP） and simple sequence repeat （SSR）. A total of 200 AFLP and 88 SSR primer pairs were screened and 12 markers （11 AFLPs and one SSR） were associated with Al-tolerance in NILs of at least one recurrent parental background. Among them, nine were linked to A1 tolerance in the Chisholm-derived NILs, seven were associated with Al-tolerance in the Century-derived NILs, and three AFLPs derived from the primer combinations of pAG/mGCAG, pCAG/mAGC and pGTG/mGCG, and one SSR, Xwmc331 on chromosome 4D, associated with A1 tolerance in NILs of both recurrent parental backgrounds. Those common markers across two backgrounds may be the major marker loci associated with Al-tolerance in Atlas 66 and could be useful for marker-assisted breeding to improve Al tolerance in wheat. In addition, evaluation of Al tolerance among different genotypes using hematoxylin stain and relative root growth revealed that Atlas 66 was more tolerant to Al stress than the NILs, therefore suggested that the Al-tolerant NILs might not carry all Al-tolerance loci from Arias 66 and inheritance of Al tolerance in Arias 66 is more likely multigenic.

IntroductionMulti-material flows, where a moving interface exists between two immiscible fluids, can be found in a variety of engineering problems. Development of numerically accurate and computationally efficient algorithms for multi-material flow simulations remains one of the unresolved issues in computational fluid dynamics. 插管式换热器由圆管组成,即由一端密封的外管及在该管中设置的另一根内管构成。在内管底部与外管的封盖之间留有一间隙,这样由中心管及外管环隙构成了流体的通路,热量是由内管的主物流通过外管传递给次物流的。因此在结构上只需对换热器一侧做成受压容器,而且不受弯曲和轴向压缩应力。本文导出了评价插管式换热器性能所需要的基本方程,并将预测结果与一组试验数据进行了比较。介绍了主物流方向及内管直径和壁厚变化的参数影响,论证了可以通过适当的内管尺寸来有效地提高插管式换热器的性能。
