Effects of the Reversely Rotating Assisted Shoulder on Microstructures During the Reverse Dual-rotation Friction Stir Welding

The reverse dual-rotation friction stir welding(RDR-FSW) has the capability to adjust the heat generation because of the separately designed tool shoulder and tool *** welding torque exerted on the workpiece by the reversely rotating shoulder is opposite to that exerted by the rotating tool pin,so the total welding torque is reduced,which is beneficial to reducing the clamping requirement of *** the present paper,a RDR-FSW joint was welded in a condition similar to the optimal welding condition of conventional FSW,and microstructures in various zones were investigated by comparison,aiming to highlight effects of the reversely rotating assisted *** to the heat conduction of the middle cylinder and the bottom end cover on which the assisted shoulder was machined,the thermal effect of RDR-FSW was smaller than that of the conventional ***,the effect of assisted shoulder on the plastic flow or deformation of material or was constrained in a thin layer near the weld top surface,and thus the flow of material especially along the thickness direction was clearly decreased in the *** the heat-affected zone(HAZ),the precipitate coarsening was the main evolution and was completed through the dissolution of small precipitates and the continuous growth of large *** contrast,the dissolution degree of precipitates increased significantly in the thermomechanically affected zone(TMAZ),and a small amount of original meta-stable precipitates transformed to block-shaped stable *** evolutions in the shoulder affected zone(SAZ)and the weld nugget zone were similar,*** majority of original meta-stable precipitates dissolved into the matrix and the remainder transformed to stable precipitates,though the dissolution degree was greater in the *** with the conventional FSW joint,the coarsening degrees of precipitates in the HAZ and TMAZ of RDR-FSW joint were much smaller,as well as the dissolution degrees of p

Comprehensive studies identify motor neuron spectrum disorders including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)as globally rising fatal disorders with the highest prevalence in aging populations,influenced by ethnicity and ancestry(GBD 2016 Motor neuron Disease Colla borators,2018).While~10% of diagnoses involve a family history(fALS),most cases are considered sporadic(sALS).However,population-based studies suggest that even cases without a common index mutation impart heritability(Ryan et al.,2019),indicating a crucial role of rare and as yet unknown genetic denominators.

BACKGROUnD Although breast milk is ideal for newborns,in some cases,it is replaced with cow’s milk,which contains proteins that increase the risk of cow’s milk protein allergy(CMPA).AIM To evaluate CMPA prevalence in Bahrain and compare clinical characteristics of children with immunoglobulin E(IgE)-and non-IgE-mediated *** This retrospective cohort study examined children with CMPA diagnosed at the pediatric gastroenterology outpatient clinic of the Salmaniya Medical Complex,Bahrain,between 2014 and 2022,and assessed CMPA *** presentations,laboratory findings,dietary modifications,and outcomes were compared between children with IgE-mediated and non-IgE-mediated *** variables were compared using Fisher’s exact test or Pearson’sχ2 test,whereas continuous variables were compared using Student’s t-test or the Mann-Whitney U *** Of 8332 patients,6022(72.3%)adhered to their *** them,618(10.3%)were suggested of having CMPA and 595(96.3%)were included;CMPA prevalence was 2%.Most patients were Bahraini(93.8%)and males(55.3%).non-IgE-mediated type accounted for 77.3%cases and IgE-mediated type,22.7%.IgE-mediated CMPA presented more in boys(P=0.030),and later in life(5.1 months±4.5 months vs 4.2 months±4.2 months,P=0.016,95%CI:0.08-1.73),had more associated diseases(Pnd presented with more cutaneous(P=0.024)and respiratory(P=0.003)manifestations,severe symptoms[rash/dry skin(P=0.031),facial swelling/angioedema(P=0.003),failure to thrive(P=0.013),apparent life-threatening event(Pnd positive physical findings(P=0.002)than non-IgE-mediated *** patients were exclusively fed cow milk formula(50.3%).The amino acid-based formula(AAF)was most prescribed(60.5%)with no difference between the two types(P=0.173).Although breastfeeding was recommended to 49.6%,only 8.2%were exclusively ***-mediated CMPA was associated with a longer follow-up duration than non-IgE-mediated CMPA(17.3 months±14.0 mo

Modern power systems are incorporated with distributed energy sources to be environmental-friendly and ***,due to the uncertainties of the system integrated with renewable energy sources,effective strategies need to be adopted to stabilize the entire power ***,the system operators need accurate prediction tools to forecast the dynamic system states *** this paper,we propose a Bayesian deep learning approach to predict the dynamic system state in a general power ***,the input system dataset with multiple system features requires the data pre-processing ***,we obtain the dynamic state matrix of a general power system through the newton-Raphson power flow ***,by incorporating the state matrix with the system features,we propose a Bayesian long short-term memory(BLSTM)network to predict the dynamic system state variables *** results show that the accurate prediction can be achieved at different scales of power systems through the proposed Bayesian deep learning approach.

A hybrid multi-degree-of-freedom vibration isolation platform for spacecrafts by the linear active disturbance rejection control

The hybrid vibration isolation, which takes advantages of both the passive and active approaches, has been an important solution for space missions. The objective of this paper is to design a vibration isolation platform for payloads on spacecrafts with the robust, wide bandwidth, and multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF). The proposed solution is based on a parallel mechanism with six voice-coil motors(VCMs) as the actuators. The linear active disturbance resistance control(LADRC) algorithm is used for the active control. numerical simulation results show that the vibration isolation platform performs effectively over a wide bandwidth, and the resonance introduced by the passive isolation is eliminated. The system robustness to the uncertainties of the structure is also verified by simulation.

Finite Element Analysis of Push-Out Test of SiC Fiber Reinforced Titanium Matrix Composites

Based on the interphase layer model and the spring layer model, an improved interface model was developed to evaluate the interfacial shear strength of Titanium matrix composites(TMCs) and to analyze the effects of various parameters on the interfacial properties. The results showed that the improved interface model is more suitable for calculating the interfacial properties of SiC fiber reinforced titanium matrix composites. The interfacial shear strength of SiC/Timetal-834 predicted is 500 MPa. In addition, in order to better understand the interfacial properties of composites, some push out phenomenon were analyzed.
