The current progress of system miniaturization relies extensively on the development of 3D machining techniques to increase the areal structure *** this work,a wafer-scale out-of-plane 3D silicon(Si)shaping technology is reported,which combines a multistep plasma etching process with corner *** multistep plasma etching procedure results in high aspect ratio structures with stacked semicircles etched deep into the sidewall and thereby introduces corners with a proper geometry for the subsequent corner *** to the geometrical contrast between the gaps and sidewall,residues are left only inside the gaps and form an inversion mask inside the *** this mask,octahedra and donuts can be etched in a repeated manner into Si over the full wafer area,which demonstrates the potential of this technology for constructing high-density 3D structures with good dimensional control in the bulk of Si wafers.

The most severe limitation of the standard Lattice Boltzmann Method is the use of uniform Cartesian grids especiallywhen there is a need for high resolutions near the body or *** the recent advances in lattice Boltzmann research to handle complex geometries,a particularly remarkable option is represented by changing the solution procedure from the original"stream and collide"to a finite volume ***,most of the presented schemes have stability *** paper presents a stable and accurate finite-volume lattice Boltzmann formulation based on a cell-centred *** enhance stability,upwind second order pressure biasing factors are used as flux correctors on a D2Q9 *** resulting model has been tested against a uniform flow past a cylinder and typical free shear flow problems at low and moderate Reynolds numbers:boundary layer,mixing layer and plane jet *** numerical results show a very good accuracy and agreement with the exact solution of the Navier-Stokes equation and previous numerical results and/or experimental *** in self-similar coordinates are also investigated and show that the timeaveraged statistics for velocity and vorticity express self-similarity at low Reynolds ***,the scheme is applied to simulate the flow around circular cylinder and the Reynolds number range is chosen in such a way that the flow is time *** agreement of the numerical results with previous results is satisfactory.

After a reservoir has been in operation for a period of time, a sediment layer is likely formed before the dam. Since studies of the effects of sediment layers on the hydrodynamic pressures of impounded water and the aseis-mic responses of dam are few, the dynamic effect of sediment may be applied neither in the seismic design of new dams nor in the assessment of earthquake safety of existing dams. However, a common practice of the action of sediment layers and foundation is based on a partial energy absorption boundary. It is shown that during a vertical harmonic ground motion, the sediment layer could alter the natural frequencies of reservoir. The dynamic pressure on a rigid vertical dam face caused by the vertical ground motion is obtained through a computational model and an experimental test by using a shaking table. With a change in the thickness of sediment, the frequency corresponding to the inertia amplification effect appears to vary gradually. The results are useful for further study of

Purpose A 12-lead electrocardiogram(ECG)is a screening tool to detect abnormalities that may predispose athletes to sud-den cardiac *** standardized criteria have been introduced to better interpret ECG data,however this research has predominantly focused on male *** is important to include female athletes in research to better define ECG character-istics in this *** purpose of this study was to compare the Seattle and International Criteria ECG abnormalities in Division II female collegiate athletes of various *** fifty-six females(age 20.2±1.4 years;height 1.70±0.7 m;weight 69.5±8.9 kg)completed a resting 12-lead ECG *** data was classified as‘normal’and‘abnormal’according to the parameters of each criterion and abnormal conditions were ***-square analysis was used to assess statistical comparisons between *** There was a significant difference in abnormal classifications as the total number of ECGs identified as abnormal using the Seattle Criteria decreased from 12(21.4%)to 2(3.6%)when using the International Criteria(Pfrican American athletes had a higher number of abnormal ECG’s compared to White and Latina athletes using the Seattle Criteria(P=0.03).Conclusions The International Criteria significantly reduces the total number of abnormal ECG readings in female collegiate athletes compared to the Seattle Criteria and did not overly identify African American athletes with *** research is necessary to expand on this study and clearly define criteria for female athletes of various ethnicities.
