We consider a family of optimal control problems where the control variable is given by a boundary condition of Neumann type. This family is governed by parabolic variational inequalities of the second kind. We prove the strong convergence of the optimal control and state systems associated to this family to a similar optimal control problem. This work solves the open problem left by the authors in IFIP TC7 CSMO2011.

In this work, we obtain good upper bounds for the diameter of any graph in terms of its minimum degree and its order, improving a classical theorem due to Erdos, Pach, Pollack and Tuza. We use these bounds in order to study hyperbolic graphs （in the Gromov sense）. To compute the hyperbolicity constant is an almost intractable problem, thus it is natural to try to bound it in terms of some parameters of the graph. Let H（n, δ0） be the set of graphs G with n vertices and minimum degree 50, and j（n, Δ） be the set of graphs G with n vertices and maximum degree A. We study the four following extremal problems on graphs： a（n,δ0） = min{δ（G）｜ G ∈H（n, δ0）}, b（n, δ0） =- max{δ（G）｜ e ∈H（n, δ0）}, α（n, Δ） = min{δ（G） [ G ∈ j（n, Δ）} and β（n,Δ） = max{δ（G） ] G∈Π（n,Δ）}. In particular, we obtain bounds for b（n, δ0） and we compute the precise value of a（n, δ0）, α（n, Δ） and w（n, Δ） for all values of n, r0 and A, respectively.

Increased levels of stress hormones in the muscle could lead to post mortem metabolic/structural modiifcations that could be relfected on meat quality. The present study investigated the metabolic effect of either adrenaline or cortisol injected into lambs in order to obtain an animal model of acute stress. Results showed that adrenaline or cortisol injection lead to glucose metabolism and muscle temperature increase. Muscle pH immediately post mortem was affected by adrenaline treatment. Water holding capacity （WHC） of fresh muscle, ifnal muscle pH and temperature registered at 24 h post mortem were not affected by injected hormones. Hardness and adhesiveness of LD muscle evaluated 3 d post mortem tended to increase as a result of adrenaline or cortisol injection. Results demonstrated that injected hormones were able to affect the post mortem muscle biochemistry and the pH/T curve independently of ifnal muscle pH.

The architectural modernity that prevailed in Germany during the first half of the twentieth century cannot be understood without an appreciation of the work of Lilly Reich,a brilliant designer of interiors,furniture,and ephemeral architecture who exerted significant influence from her active position as a member of the Deutscher *** the critical recognition she acquired in the media of the time during her solo career,her association with the architect Mies van der Rohe,far from positioning her in the field of contributions,relegated her to the role of a mere *** this reason,this article aims to shed light on the extensive legacy of Lilly Reich,a woman whose figure is being acknowledged as a result of recent research but who was nevertheless omitted from the leading books on the history of *** methodology employed in the research analyses comparatively“what she did”and“what was said about her”,highlighting the convergences and divergences between“work”and“criticism”.The study and its results yield interesting conclusions regarding both the recognition that Lilly Reich received during her lifetime and the criticism she received after her death and up to the present day.

The nomograph by Wischmeier et al.(1971)for calculating the K-factor in the USLE was extremely useful when there was low access to ***,the generalised calculation of this factor requires the development of analytic *** paper presents a detailed analysis of the nomograph and its underlying equation,which is applicable only when the silt plus very find sand fraction does not exceed 70%.We also examined the quality of fit on the nomograph of the adaptations to the equation that have been proposed,as a means of dealing with those areas where the original equation is not *** models are shown to have areas where the fit is deficient or even ***,the family of curves on the nomograph for the various values taken by the organic matter are not coincident with the mathematical function from which they presumably *** study also identifies those areas of the textural triangle in which the soils originally used in developing the USLE are located,with a view to according a lower predictive value to the contrasting areas in which calculations of the K-factor will necessarily be ***,a new equation for calculating the K-factor is presented,which accurately reproduces the different sections of the nomograph,and allows the poorly functioning graph to be dispensed *** paper ends with a link to a tool in R for simplifying the procedure for calculating the K-factor,taking into account varying situations of data availability.

Background:To finish an endurance race,athletes perform a vigorous effort that induces the release of cardiac damage *** are several factors that can affect the total number of these markers,so the aim of this review was to analyze the effect of endurance running races on cardiac damage markers and to identify the factors that modify the levels of segregation of these cardiac damage ***:A systematic search of PubMed,Web of Science,and the Cochrane Library databases was *** analysis included studies where the acute effects of running races on cardiac damage markers(troponin I and troponin T)were analyzed,assessing the levels of these markers before and after the ***:The effects of running races on troponin I(mean difference=0.0381 ng/mL)and troponin T(mean difference=0.0256 ng/mL)levels were *** ages(R^(2)=14.4%,p=0.033)and body mass indexes(R^(2)=14.5%,p=0.045)of the athletes had a significant interaction with troponin *** addition,gender,mean speed,time to finish the race,and type of race can affect the level of cardiac damage ***:Endurance running races induce the release of cardiac-damage markers that remain elevated for at least 24 h after the *** addition,young male athletes with high body mass indexes who perform races combining long duration and moderate intensity(i.e.,marathons)release the highest levels of cardiac damage *** should take into consideration these results in the diagnosis and treatment of patients admitted to the hospital days after finishing endurance running races.

We obtain explicit expressions for one unknown thermal coefficient (among the conductivity, mass density, specific heat and latent heat of fusion) of a semi-infinite material through the one-phase fractional Lamé-Clapeyron-Stefan problem with an over-specified boundary condition on the fixed face . The partial differential equation and one of the conditions on the free boundary include a time Caputo’s fractional derivative of order . Moreover, we obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions on data in order to have a unique solution by using recent results obtained for the fractional diffusion equation exploiting the properties of the Wright and Mainardi functions, given in: 1) Roscani-Santillan Marcus, Fract. Calc. Appl. Anal., 16 (2013), 802 - 815;2) Roscani-Tarzia, Adv. Math. Sci. Appl., 24 (2014), 237 - 249 and 3) Voller, Int. j. Heat Mass Transfer, 74 (2014), 269 - 277. This work generalizes the method developed for the determination of unknown thermal coefficients for the classical Lamé-Clapeyron-Stefan problem given in Tarzia, Adv. Appl. Math., 3 (1982), 74 - 82, which is recovered by taking the limit when the order .
