兰江流域降雨量与气候指数的相关性研究

为探索兰江流域降雨量与气候指数的关系,利用1963—2000年间兰江流域28个气象站的日降雨量与同期经样条插值的太平洋年代际振荡(PDO)、南方涛动指数(SOI)和东亚夏季风指数(EASMI)日值时间序列,分别采用线性回归和多元回归方法分析兰江流域两大支流的降雨量与PDO和SOI的长期相关性及其与SOI和EASMI的短期相关性.结果表明,PDO与降雨量存在显著的长期正相关关系,其中金华江支流比衢江支流更为显著.在长期尺度上,SOI与降雨量存在负相关,且相关性均大于0.2.在短期尺度上,SOI、EASMI与降雨量均存在显著负相关;作为一种区域指数,EASMI与兰江流域降雨的相关性比其他指数显著,尤其在衢江流域,当PDO位于暖相位时,其相关性系数达到0.5.按照PDO相位划分的子时期评估结果显示,当PDO位于暖相位时,SOI、EASMI与降雨量的相关性都更为显著.多元回归分析证实PDO、SOI及EASMI的相互组合可显著提高其与降雨量的相关关系,特别是PDO-SOI组合,其与降雨量的相关性在金华江和衢江流域分别达到0.39和0.28.

Morphological comparison of Five Varieties of <i>colocasia esculenta</i>(L.) Schott in Anambra State, Southeastern Nigeria

Human derived cells modeling the gastrointestinal barrier were assessed as an in vitro tool for identifying potential for adverse effects following exposure to protein toxins or innocuous dietary *** of cytotoxicity(LDH release,MTT conversion),monolayer barrier integrity([H]-inulin flux,horse radish peroxidase flux,trans-epithelial electrical resistance[TEER]),and production of inflammatory cytokines(IL-8,IL-6) were assessed using human intestinal epithelial cell lines(T84,caco-2,and HcT-8) grown on permeable Transwell filters following addition of purified *** proteins included streptolysin O(from Streptococcus pyogenes),clostridium difficile Toxins A and B,heat-labile toxin from enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli,listeriolysin O(from Listeria monocytogenes),melittin(bee venom),and mastoparan(wasp venom).The allergenic food proteins bovine milk β-lactoglobulin and peanut Ara h 2 and the anti-nutritive food protein wheat germ agglutinin were also *** not expected to cause adverse effects in the intestine included bovine and porcine serum albumin,bovine fibronectin,and ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase(RuBisco) from *** results demonstrated that multiple toxic proteins exerted effects on cytotoxicity and monolayer integrity whereas proteins considered innocuous did *** evaluation of this model is warranted as it may prove useful in hazard analysis for proteins with unknown toxicity profiles.

comparative morphological study of five varieties of colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott present in Anambra State, Nigeria was carried out, in order to furnish plant taxonomists with information which could be of great help in delimitation of the varieties. Significant difference was established at p ce of “kochuo” had a purplish dot on the centre, abaxial leaf surface had a conspicuous purplish colour at the point of attachment to the leaf, and the cormels had numerous striking vertical purple stripes on the surface. There was presence of foliaceous (leaf-like) appendages at the veins of the abaxial surface of the leaf of “ogeriobosi”. The leaf length ranged from 35.6 ± 7.70 cm (“kochuo”) to 49.9 ± 3.55 cm (“ogeriobosi”). Petiole length of “ogeriobosi” was the highest (63.3 ± 3.83 cm), whereas the least was colocasia esculenta var. antiquorum (26.67 ± 2.20 cm). The corm length ranged from 4.10 ± 0.10 cm (colocasia esculenta var. antiquorum) to 8.60 ± 0.35 cm (“ogeriobosi”), while the cormel length ranged from 3.70 ± 0.96 cm (colocasia esculenta var. antiquorum) to 7.03 ± 0.36 cm (“ogeriobosi”). This work has revealed diagnostic and differential morphological characters, which could be useful for identification and description of varieties of c. esculenta. In addition, it provided additional information which might be helpful in resolving the on-going controversy in the taxonomy of colocasia, which would, in turn, probably lead to possible delimitation of c. esculenta.

Introduction: During the 19th and 20th centuries, the Wars were the cause of many amputations among military and civilians. Despite the absence of armed conflict in our country, we notice a high frequency of major amputations in our activity. Objective: The aim of this work was to study the causes of major amputations observed in our practice in order to develop preventive measures. Materials and Method: This was a descriptive retrospective study over a 6-year period, from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2014. The following parameters were studied: epidemiological aspects (age according to WHO age groups and gender of patients), type of amputation, level of amputation and causes. Results: Two hundred and fifty-two patients were included. The distribution of amputations by cause and age group showed two distinct entities: The forms of the young subject where there was a predominance of tumour and traumatic causes;and the forms of the elderly person caused by vascular infections and conditions. Infections were the main cause of amputation in both sexes. Conclusion: The causes of major limb amputations vary according to age and limb: tumor and trauma in young people and for the upper limb, infectious and vascular in the elderly and for the lower limb.

The deduction of a constant of motion, a Lagrangian, and a Hamiltonian for relativistic particle moving in a dissipative medium characterized by a force which depends on the square of the velocity of the particle is done. It is shown that while the trajectories in the space (x,v), defined by the constant of motion, look as one might expected, the trajectories in the space (x,p), defined by the Hamiltonian, have an odd behavior.
