A Practical Predefined-Time Stability criterion and Its Application to Uncertain Nonlinear Systems

In this paper, the singularity-free predefined-time fuzzy adaptive tracking control problem is studied for non-strict feedback(NSF) nonlinear systems considering mismatched external disturbances. An innovative practical predefined-time stability(PPTS) criterion is proposed to provide the theoretical basis for subsequent control design. compared to the existing predefined-time stability(PTS) criterion, this criterion has a broader application range and can solve the control design issues of nonlinear systems with system uncertainties. Fuzzy logic systems(FLSs) are employed to identify unknown nonlinear functions. Based on the backstepping control technology, a singularity-free predefined-time control(PTc) design method is proposed, in which the hyperbolic tangent function is utilized to avoid the singular problem, and the nature of fuzzy basis function is adopted to resolve the algebraic loop problem. The PPTS of the closed-loop NSF nonlinear system is proven with the Lyapunov theory and the proposed PPTS criterion. Ultimately, the efficiency of the presented PTc design method is verified by several sets of simulations on a single link manipulator system.

Enzyme-induced carbonate precipitation(EIcP)is an emanating,eco-friendly and potentially sound technique that has presented promise in various geotechnical ***,the durability and microscopic characteristics of EIcP-treated specimens against the impact of drying-wetting(D-W)cycles is under-explored *** study investigates the evolution of mechanical behavior and pore charac-teristics of EIcP-treated sea sand subj.c.ed to D-W *** uniaxial compressive strength(UcS)tests,synchrotron radiation micro-computed tomography(micro-cT),and three-dimensional(3D)recon-struction of cT images were performed to study the multiscale evolution characteristics of EIcP-reinforced sea sand under the effect of D-W *** potential correlations between microstructure characteristics and macro-mechanical property deterioration were investigated using gray relational analysis(GRA).Results showed that the UcS of EIcP-treated specimens decreases by 63.7% after 15 D-W *** proportion of mesopores gradually decreases whereas the proportion of macropores in-creases due to the exfoliated calcium carbonate with increasing number of D-W *** micro-structure in EIcP-reinforced sea sand was gradually disintegrated,resulting in increasing pore size and development of pore shape from ellipsoidal to columnar and *** gray relational degree suggested that the weight loss rate and UcS deterioration were attributed to the development of branched pores with a size of 100-1000 m m under the action of D-W ***,the results in this study provide a useful guidancee for the long-term stability and evolution characteristics of EIcP-reinforced sea sand under D-W weathering conditions.

Microscopic pore structure in continental shale oil reservoirs is characterized by small pore throats and complex *** adsorption behavior of hydrocarbons on the pore walls exhibits unique physical and chemical ***,studying the adsorption morphology of hydrocarbon components in nanometer-sized pores and clarifying the exploitation limits of shale oil at the microscopic level are of great practical significance for the efficient development of continental shale *** this study,molecular dynamics simulations were employed to investigate the adsorption characteristics of various single-component shale oils in inorganic quartz fissures,and the influence of pore size and shale oil hydrocarbon composition on the adsorption properties in the pores was *** results show that different molecules have different adsorption capacities in shale oil pores,with lighter hydrocarbon components(c6H14)exhibiting stronger adsorption *** the same adsorbed molecule,the adsorption amount linearly increases with the increase in pore diameter,but larger pores contribute more to shale oil *** shale pores,the thickness of the adsorption layer formed by shale oil molecules ranges from 0.4 to 0.5 nm,which is similar to the width of alkane *** oil in the adsorbed state that is difficult to be exploited is mainly concentrated in the first adsorption *** them,the volume fraction of adsorbed shale oil in 6 nm shale pores is 40.8%,while the volume fraction of shale oil that is difficult to be exploited is 16.2%.

In traditional high-pressure–temperature assembly design, priority has been given to temperature insulation and retention at high *** limits the efficiency of cooling of samples at the end of experiments, with a negative impact on many studies in high-pressure Earth andplanetary science. Inefficient cooling of experiments containing molten phases at high temperature leads to the formation of quench textures,which makes it impossible to quantify key compositional parameters of the original molten phase, such as their volatile contents. Here,we present a new low-cost experimental assembly for rapid cooling in a six-anvil cubic press. This assembly not only retains high heatingefficiency and thermal insulation, but also enables a very high cooling rate (∼600 ℃/s from 1900 ℃ to the glass transition temperature).Without using expensive materials or external modification of the press, the cooling rate in an assembly (∼600 ℃/s) with cube lengths of38.5 mm is about ten times faster than that in the traditional assembly (∼60 ℃/s). Experiments yielding inhomogeneous quenched melttextures when the traditional assembly is used are shown to yield homogeneous silicate glass without quench textures when the rapid coolingassembly is used.

Iron-metal clusters are crucial in a variety of critical biological and material systems,including metalloenzymes,catalysts,and magnetic storage ***,a synthetic high-nuclear iron cluster has been absent due to the extreme difficulty in stabilizing species with direct iron-iron *** this work,we have synthesized,crystallized,and characterized a（Tp*）4W4S12(Fe@Fe12) cluster(Tp*=tris（3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazolyl）borate（1-）),which features a rare trideca-nuclear,icosahedral[Fe@Fe12] cluster core with direct multicenter iron-iron bonding between the interstitial iron（Fei） and peripheral irons（Fep）,as well as Fep…Fepferromagnetic *** chemistry studies reveal that the stability of the cluster arises from the 18-electron shell-closing of the [Fe@Fe12]16+core,assisted by its bonding interactions with the peripheral tridentate [（Tp*）WS3]4-ligands which possess both S→Fe donation and spin-polarized Fe-Wσ *** ground-state electron spin is theoretically predicted to be S=32/2 for the *** existence of low oxidation-state（OS～+1.23） iron in this compound may find interesting applications in magnetic storage,spintronics,redox chemistry,and cluster catalysis.

One of the largest subfamilies within the famous Daphniphyllum alkaloid family is made up of the yuzurimine-type(or macrodaphniphyllamine-type) alkaloids. Their complex aza-polycyclic caged structures, several contiguous stereogenic centers, and vicinal all-carbon quaternary centers make these alkaloids formidable challenge for synthetic chemists. Recently, synthesis of these alkaloids has received extensive attention from our community. Herein, we wish to report the total synthesis of c_(14)–epideoxycalyciphylline H, a putative member of yuzurimine-type alkaloid subfamily. Key transformations employed in our approach include an intramolecular Prins reaction and a Pd-catalyzed enyne cycloisomerization. In addition, synthesis of a daphnezomine L-type alkaloid, paxdaphnidine A, was also studied.
