The current global financial and economic crisis is giving new life to initiatives that promote closer economic integration among East Asian countries. A significant example is the ASEAN- China Free Trade Area （.4 CFTA）, which is set to come into effect around 2010..4CFTA aims to boost trade between two economies that are partners as well as competitors： ASEAN and China. In the present paper, we use insights from customs union theory in a qualitative analysis considering whether,4CFTA would benefit both sides. We also apply a computable general equilibrium model to perform a quantitative analysis of the same issue. both our qualitative and quantitative analyses provide grounds for guarded optimism regarding A CFTA ＇s prospects as a vehicle for strengthening the economic partnership between ASEAN and China.

Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the viable solutions to alleviate the global warming. However, the limited utilization of biomass majorly focused on cellulose and hemicellulose restricts the economic and environmental feasibilities. To cope with this issue, we proposed an integrated process of co-producing 1,6-hexanediol（1,6-HDO） with tetrahydrofuran and adipic acid from biomass, referred to as Strategy A. To compare the impacts of lignin upgrading and feedstock, Strategy b, which co-produces tetrahydrofuran alone, and Strategy C, which is the traditional route to produce 1,6-HDO from fossil fuels, were used. Heat networks are also designed to reduce operating costs and indirect carbon emissions due to energy consumption, saving 87% and 83% of the heat and cooling requirements, respectively, in Strategy A. The market competitiveness of Strategy A was evaluated by determining the minimum selling price through techno-economic analysis, and sustainability was thoroughly investigated by quantifying the environmental impacts through both midpoint and endpoint life-cycle assessments（LCAs）.Strategy A was found to be the most favorable both economically（USRDSCHARDOLLAR3,402/ton） and environmentally（-26.9 kg CO2eq.）. This indicates that lignin valorization is not only economically but also environmentally preferred. Finally, changes in economic and environmental feasibilities depending on economic, process, and environmental parameters were investigated using sensitivity and uncertainty analyses. The results of these analyses provide valuable insight into bio-based chemical production.

The Ni, Fe, Co and Cu single and multilayer nanowire arrays to make perpendicular magnetic recording media were fabricated with nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates from Watt solution and additives by the DC electrodeposition. The results show that the diameters of Ni, Fe, Co and Cu single and multilayer nanowires in AAO templates are 40-80 nm and the lengths are about 30 μm with the aspect ratio of 350-750. The magnetic properties of the prepared nanowires are different under different electrodepositing conditions. The remanences (br) of Ni/Cu/Fe multilayer nanowires are lower than those of others multilayer nanowires, and coercivity (Hc) of Ni/Cu/Fe multilayer nanowires are lower than those of others multilayer nanowires. These are compatible with the required conditions of high density magnetic media devices that should have the low coercivity to easily success magnetization and high remanence to keep magnetization after removal of magnetic field.

The effects of Ce addition on the microstructure, age hardening response and mechanical properties of an indirect-extruded Mg-5wt.%Sn-4Zn (TZ54) alloy were investigated. Addition of Ce accelerated the aging response with the peak aging time moving from 300 h in TZ54 to 30 h in Mg-5wt.%Sn-4Zn-1Ce (TZE541), while the peak harness was similar to each other. This paper addresses the bipartite consensus over cooperation-competition networks affected by denial-of-service(DoS) *** that a network consists of multiple interactive agents, and the relationship between neighboring agents is cooperative or competitive. Meanwhile, information transmission among the agents is unavailable during the intervals of attacks. In order to save communication resources and exclude the Zeno behavior, an event-triggered scheme depending on the sampled-data information from neighboring agents is proposed, and efficient defense strategies in response to the attacks are put *** that the frequency and duration of DoS attacks meet certain requirements, then according to the signed graph theory,the La Salle’s invariance principle, and the convergence of monotone sequences, the results of bipartite consensus via the eventtriggered protocol are provided, which are mainly related to the communication topology of the network, the sampling period,and the threshold parameters in the event-triggered scheme. It is shown that the bipartite consensus is realized even though the DoS attacks take place frequently. Furthermore, this paper discusses the bipartite consensus in the presence of DoS attacks with a random unsuccessful rate. Finally, numerical simulations illustrate the theoretical results.

A multi-bit antifuse-type one-time programmable （OTP） memory is designed, which has a smaller area and a shorter programming time compared with the conventional single-bit antifuse-type OTP memory. While the conventional antifuse-type OTP memory can store a bit per cell, a proposed OTP memory can store two consecutive bits per cell through a data compression technique. The 1 kbit OTP memory designed with Magnachip 0.18 μm CMOS （complementary metal-oxide semiconductor） process is 34% smaller than the conventional single-bit antifuse-type OTP memory since the sizes of cell array and row decoder are reduced. And the programming time of the proposed OTP memory is nearly 50% smaller than that of the conventional counterpart since two consecutive bytes can be compressed and programmed into eight OTP cells at once. The layout area is 214 μm× 327 μ,, and the read current is simulated to be 30.4 μA.

The effect of Sn addition on the microstructures and mechanical properties of Mg-5Al-2Si alloys was investigated with variations of Sn contents （3 and 6 wt pct）. The microstructure of the alloy was characterized by the presence of Mg2Sn particles within matrix and at grain boundaries. As the Sn contents increased, yield and ultimate tensile strength were increased at room temperatures and 150℃. Creep properties were improved with the increasing amount of Sn due to the fine precipitation of Mg2Sn phases within grain during creep.

In this paper, we investigate the problem of H∞ synchronization for chaotic neural networks with time-varying delays. A new model of the networks with disturbances in both master and slave systems is presented. by constructing a suitable Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and using a reciprocally convex approach, a novel H∞ synchronization criterion for the networks concerned is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities （LMIs） which can be easily solved by various effective optimization algorithms. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
