Supercontinuum white laser with large bandwidth and high pulse energy would offer incredible versatility and opportunities for basic science and high technology applications. here, we report the generation of high-efficiency 2.8-octave-spanning ultraviolet- visible-infrared (UV-Vis-IR) (with 350-2500 nm 25 db bandwidth) supercontinuum white laser from a single chirped periodically poled lithium niobate (CPPLN) nonlinear crystal via synergic high-harmonic generation (HHG) and self-phase modulation (SPM). The CPPLN exhibits multiple controllable reciprocal-lattice bands to simultaneously support the quasi-phase matching (QPM) for simultaneous broadband 2nd-10th HHG via cascaded three-wave mixing against a broadband fundamental pump laser. Due to the efficient second-order nonlinearity (2nd-NL) up-conversion and significant 3rd-NL SPM effect both in the pump and HHG laser pulses, 350-2500 nm supercontinuum white laser is eventually obtained with 17 μj per pulse under pump of 45 μj per pulse mid-infrared femtosecond laser corresponding to an average high conversion efficiency of 37%. Our work opens up a route towards creating UV-Vis-IR all-spectrum white lasers through engineering the synergic action of HHG and SPM effects in nonlinear crystals for applications in ultrafast spectroscopy, single-shot remote sensing, biological imaging, and so on.

The effect of electromagnetic stirring(EMS)on the distribution of Nb particles in solidified microstructure of a Cu-5wt%Nb alloy were *** this paper,we have Cu-5wt%Nb alloy remelted and solidified with or without electromagnetic stirring,to study the effect of EMS on the distribution of Nb phase and the hardness of *** 300A/16Hz EMS has refined the mircostrucrure of Cu-5%Nb alloy,with smaller particles sizes and larger amounts,and is benefit to the homogenous distribution of *** fitted lognormal distribution of particles diameter that in case without or with EMS are compared,and the EMS case has the highest frequency percentage in the range of smaller size. EMS considerably increased the hardness of Cu-5%Nb alloy ingot.

Cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)has emerged as an intractable cancer with scanty therapeutic *** aberrant activation of Yes-associated protein(YAP)and transcriptional co-activator with PDZ-binding motif(TAZ)are reported to be common in CCA ***,the underpinning mechanism remains poorly ***(DUb)is regarded as a main orchestrator in maintaining protein ***,we identified josephin domain-containing protein 2(jOSD2)as an essential DUb of YAP/TAZ that sustained the protein level through cleavage of polyubiquitin chains in a deubiquitinase activity-dependent *** depletion of jOSD2 promoted YAP/TAZ proteasomal degradation and significantly impeded CCA proliferation in vitro and in *** analysis has highlighted the positive correlation between jOSD2 and YAP abundance in CCA patient ***,this study uncovers the regulatory effects of jOSD2 on YAP/TAZ protein stabilities and profiles its contribution in CCA malignant progression,which may provide a potential intervention target for YAP/TAZ-related CCA patients.

Loop-shaped contrasts were observed in the as-grown Al70.3Pd2o.6Mn9.1 icosahedral quasicrystal(IQC)by means of x-ray diffraction topography(Lang's method).One possible direction of the apparent burger vectors of loopshaped defects(LSDs)was determined to be b=[110101]by the invisibility criterion,whose physical component is parallel to the two-fold axis 1/τ1/0,1/1,0/1 of the *** from the relaxation of strain fields around the faceted dodecahedral holes and lamellar precipitates,LSDs may well originate from the growth of the quasicrystal,which shows that these defects could be a kind of intrinsic defect in the quasicrystals.

The present work reveals the study of mechanical properties of Al2024-Tungsten carbide MMCs containing tungsten carbide (WC) particulates. The reinforcing particulates in the Al2024 alloy were varied from 0% to 5% by weight. The vortex method of cast production was employed to fabricate the MMCs, in which the reinforcement was poured into the vortex created by stirring the molten metal by means of a mechanical agitator. The composite so produced was subjected to a series of mechanical tests. The results of this study revealed that as the tungsten carbide particle content was increased, there were significant increases in the ultimate tensile strength, hardness and young’s modulus, compressive strength, accompanied by a reduction in its ductility. An attempt is made in the paper to provide explanations for these phenomena.

background jUNO(The jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory)is a multipurpose neutrino experiment,and it has very strict requirements for the *** to the MC simulation for jUNO experiment requirements,the Rn concentration in the water of the veto detector should be less than 0.2bq/m^(3).In order to measure such low Rn concentration,two kinds of high-sensitivity Rn measurement systems have been *** based on the water system of jUNO prototype,two kinds of high-sensitivity Rn detectors have been developed,namely the Si-PIN Rn detector and the LS Rn *** Si-PIN Rn detector uses a Si-PIN photodiode to detect theαfrom ^(214)Po decay and the LS Rn detector detects the coincident signals ofβfrom ^(214)bi decay andβfrom ^(214)Po *** The background measurement of Si-PIN Rn detector and LS Rn detector is performed to estimate the *** sensitivity of Si-PIN Rn detector is around 9.0mbq/m^(3) and the sensitivity of LS Rn detector is around 64.0bq/m^(3).Conclusion both of the Si-PIN Rn detector and the LS Rn detector are working well with the jUNO prototype at present,and both of them can be developed as an online Rn concentration monitoring device for jUNO veto detector.

Objective:In this post-hoc analysis,we evaluated anlotinib treatment-induced hypertension as a potential predictive factor of efficacy in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)***:A total of 109 patients enrolled in the anlotinib group in a phase 2 trial were *** tumor response was assessed by computed tomography at week 3,week 6,and then every 6 weeks until progressive disease was *** primary endpoint of the study was progression free survival(PFS).The secondary endpoints included overall survival(OS)and objective response rate(ORR).Results:In all patients,the median PFS was 3.02 months[95%confidence interval(CI):2.63–3.65 months]and the OS was 6.11 months(95%CI:4.40–7.79 months).The ORR was 7.34%(95%CI:3.22%–13.95%).A total of 59(54%)patients were diagnosed with treatment-induced hypertension(Group A),and the remaining patients(n=50,46%)were in Group *** prognostic factors were similar between the 2 *** in Group A had a longer PFS and OS and higher *** stratifying patients using a previously known history of hypertension,treatment-induced hypertension was a predictor only for patients without previous hypertension,who had longer PFS[hazard ratio(HR):0.40,95%CI:0.24–0.68]and OS(HR:0.37,95%CI:0.21–0.67).Conclusions:We showed,for the first time,a correlation between treatment-induced hypertension and better prognoses in recurrent or metastatic ESCC patients treated with anlotinib,without a previously known history of ***-induced hypertension may be a simple and low cost predictor for anlotinib antitumor efficacy in these patients,which may also reflect the intended target inhibition.
