Util.zing ultrafine iron ore concentrate for pellet production can expand domestic iron ore resources in China and promote the util.zation of low-grade ***,a challenge arises with the low decrepitation temperature and reducibility in the preparation process of ultrafine iron ore concentrate *** address the challenge,a novel approach was proposed,which incorporated straw powder as an additive to enhance pellet porosity,thereby improving the decrepitation temper-ature and reducibility of ultrafine iron ore concentrate *** effect of varying proportions of straw powder(0.0-2.0%)on the characteristics of ultrafine iron ore concentrate pellets was *** indicate that at a 2.0%straw powder ratio,pellet decrepitation temperature notably rises from 380 to 540℃,while the reducibility index escalates from 25.7%to 48.1%.Nevertheless,the addition of straw powder results in diminished drop strength,compressive strength of green pellets,and cold crushing strength of fired *** addition,enhanced pellet reducibility leads to exacerbated reduction swelling index and reduction degradation *** these effects,all parameters remain within an acceptable range.

The treatment of coking residual ammonia water has been a big difficult problem at home and abroad, and there is no breakthrough research achievement in the past. The invention patent "The method of treating all coking wastewater or treating coking residual ammonia water by flue gas" has been successfully used in Huaian Steel Works for high concentration and organic industry wastewater treatment. Not only can it real.ze the wastewater zero discharge, but also the wastewater treatment has an effect of de-sulfur and de-nitrogen for flue gas. So that the flue gas exhaust can meet the requirement of emission standard. The mass transfer and heat transfer, fly ash absorption and coagulation, acid and alkali neutral.zation reaction, catalysis oxidation and reduction reaction in flue gas would be the maj.r factors.

Because of the growing worldwide demand for maize grain,new alternatives have been sought for breeding of this cereal,e.g.,development of polyembryonic varieties,which agronomic performance could positively impact the grain yield per unit area,and nutritional *** obj.ctives of this study were to(1)determine the phytochemicals present in the embryo and endosperm of grain from maize families with high,low,and null polyembryony frequency,which were planted at different locations,and(2)state the relationship between these compounds and seed *** extracted phytochemicals from corn were identified by *** results showed that the genotype with the highest presence of phytochemicals was the brachytic population with high polyembryony called“BAP”,which also required less water during the germination *** number of phytochemicals in both embryo and endosperm tissues was not related to the sowing location where they came from or the type of *** number of different phytochemicals depended on the grain tissue from where they were *** chemical compounds found in the different maize tissues were related to the development of the plant,either in roots or nibs because these are mainly associated with the lignin synthesis.

The basic mechanism and kinetics of the transformation process of alumina inclusions in steel was reported when calcium introduced into the steel by wire feeding orpowder inj.ction. To clarify the mechanisms model, experiments were performed by studying reactions between AltOs and CaO in a laboratory furnace and by performing calcium treatments in an 8kg induction furnace for Al deoxidised melt. The phases formed during the reaction between Al2O3 and CaO were examined by SEM-EDS （scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrometer）, and the reaction sequence of Al2O3=〉 CA6=〉 CA2 =〉 CA =〉 CAx（l） was discussed in term of the experimental observations. The kinetics of the reaction of calcium with alumina inclusions were simulated by immersing alumina plates in a Ca treated steel melt in the induction furnace. Results were compared with observations of real inclusion transformation. A kinetic model was proposed based on the results.

Inert anode has been a hot issue in the aluminum industry for many decades. With the help of FEA （finite element analysis） software ANSYS, a model was developed to simulate the thermal stress distribution working condition of an inert anode. To reduce its thermal stress, the effect of some parameters on the thermal stress distribution was investigated, including the anode height, the anode radius, the hole depth, the hole radius, and the radius of inner chamfer and outer chamfer. The results showed that in the actual working condition of an inert anode, there existed a large axial tensile stress near the tangent interface between the anode and bath, which was the maj.r cause of anode breaking. Increasing the anode height and reducing the hole depth properly seemed to be beneficial for the stress distribution. With the increase of anode radius, the stress distribution became better first and then deteriorated, the reasonable value was between 0.045 to 0.06m. The hole radius had a significant effect on the stress and a smaller radius would reduce the thermal stress. The effect of the radius of the inner chamfer and the outer chamfer was less than other parameters.

Three New Spiral Galaxies with Active Nuclei Producing Double Radio lobes

Double radio lobes are generally believed to be produced by active nuclei of elliptical ***,several double-lobed radio sources have been solidly found to be associated with spiral *** cross-matching~9×105 spiral galaxies selected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey DR8 data with the full 1.4 GHz radio source catalogs of NRAO VlA Sky Survey and Faint Images of the Radio Sky at Twenty-centimeters,we identify three new spiral galaxies:j.326-0623,j.110+0321 and j.134+3046 that produce double radio lobes,and five doublelobed spirals previously *** combining the newly discovered and all the other known cases in literature,we confirm the relation that more massive spiral galaxies could produce more powerful radio *** find that most of these spiral galaxies are located in a galaxy group or a poor cluster,in which the environment is denser than in the field,and about half of them are the central brightest galaxies in their parent *** therefore suggest that the environment is one of the key factors for a spiral to produce double radio lobes.
