Chemical leaching of coals would.be required.to prod.ce cleaner coals for some special applications where physical benefi-ciation may not be effective *** would.also help in recovering Li and.rare earth metals besid.s in the sequestration of CO_(2).About 20 Ind.an coals having complexly d.stributed.mod.rate to high ash contents were sequentially treated.with various alkali–acid.such as NaOH-HCl,HF,HCl,HCl-HF,and.NaOH-HCl-HF *** aimed.to establish and.d.sign the best stepwise sequential process for the highest d.gree of d.mineralisation through a chemical leaching *** and.process intensification stud.es were carried.*** than 80%d.mineralisation of Mad.aipur and.Neemcha coals was observed.using the best sequential treatment d.signed.*** repeated.stepwise treatment of the alkali and.the acid.was also stud.ed.which was found.to significantly enhance the d.gree of d.mineralisation of *** integrated.process of alkali–acid.leaching followed.by solvent extraction(Organo-refining)and.vice versa of the treated.coal was also stud.ed.for prod.cing cleaner coals.

Coaxial plasma guns are a type of plasma source that prod.ces plasma which propagates rad.ally and.axially controlled.by the shape of the ground.electrod., which has attracted.much interest in several applications. In this work, a 120° opening angle of CPG nozzle is used.as a plasma gun configuration that operates at the energy of 150 j. The ionization of polyethylene insulator between the electrod.s of the gun prod.ces a cloud.of hyd.ogen and.carbon *** triple Langmuir probe and.Farad.y cup are used.to measure plasma d.nsity and.plasma temperature. These method. are used.to measure the on-axis and.off-axis plasma d.vergence of the coaxial plasma gun. The peak values of ion d.nsities measured.at a d.stance of 25 mm on-axis from the plasma gun are(1.6±0.5)×10^(19)m^(-3)and.2.8±0.6)×10^(19)m^(-3)for hyd.ogen and.carbon plasma respectively and.the peak temperature is 3.02±0.5 eV. The mean propagation velocity of plasma is calculated.using the transit times of plasma at d.fferent d.stances from the plasma gun and.is found.to be 4.54±0.25 cm/μs and.1.81±0.18 cm/μs for hyd.ogen and.carbon plasma respectively. The d.bye rad.us is obtained.from the measured.experimental d.ta that satisfies the thin sheath approximation. The shot-to-shot stability of plasma parameters facilitates the use of plasma guns in laboratory experiments. These types of plasma sources can be used.in many applications like plasma opening switches, plasma d.vices, and.as plasma sources.

Spind.e cell carcinoma of head.and.neck, a subtype of squamous cell carcinoma is a unique and.rare neoplasm. It has a more aggressive behavior as compared.to classical squomous cell carcinoma warranting surgical interventions with wid.r surgical margins. Immunohistochemistry along with routine histopathology is essential in establishing the d.agnosis of spind.e cell carcinoma. We at d.. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, a regional institute for treatment and.research, hereby report 40 cases of such lesion with clinicopathological and.immunohistochemical stud.. Out of total 40 cases includ.d.in the stud. group most of the cases were in the age group of 40 to 60 years. Commonest site of presentation was nasopharynx and.buccal mucosa. 14 cases of the oral cavity (buccal mucosa, alveolus, oral tongue and.hard.palate) were treated.with surgery. All the cases with d.sease of the larynx and.hypopharynx were treated.with rad.otherapy and.cases involving the nasopharynx received.rad.otherapy and.chemotherapy. In the surgery group recurrence rate was found.to be 71.4% and.metastasis rate was 21.4%. Biopsy specimens were subj.cted.to histopathological examination followed.by immunohistochemistry. Immunohistochemical analysis show concurrent presence of malignant epithelial and.sarcomatoid.spind.e cell components by co-expression of cytokeratin (CK) and.vimentin to various d.grees.

This stud. links social capital with people’s health and.well-being using d.ta from the seventh wave of the World.Value Survey,logistic regression,and.path *** stud.’s find.ngs show that happiness and.life satisfaction are two d.fferent measures of the same construct,or *** d.terminants of each are also characterised.d.fferently:while life satisfaction is more of a stable and.relative measure and.is more strongly influenced.by civic cooperation,social participation,and.ed.cational attainment,happiness is more of an unstable measure and.is more strongly influenced.by community belonging,trust and.confid.nce aggregates,includ.ng employment and.location of resid.nce of an ***,freed.m of choice,financial satisfaction or social comparison,and.state of health were the most important factors influencing happiness and.life *** find.ngs also show that self-reported.health(SRH)has a greater impact on happiness than a measure of life *** analysis shows out of the three other components of social capital—community belonging,civic engagement,and.social participation—trust and.confid.nce aggregates are the ones that have the biggest impact on increased.social *** both well-being measures,SRH med.ated.the *** life satisfaction measure had.a higher level of med.ation of SRH than happiness,but social capital had.a smaller d.rect impact on life satisfaction than on *** was found.to be partially med.ating this relationship for both happiness and.life satisfaction measures,which means that people with higher social capital reported.feeling better off.

This paper presents a new computational method.for forward.uncertainty quantification(UQ)analyses on large-scale structural systems in the presence of arbitrary and.d.pend.nt rand.m *** method.consists of a generalized.polynomial chaos expansion(GPCE)for statistical moment and.reliability analyses associated.with the stochastic output and.a static reanalysis method.to generate the input-output d.ta *** the reanalysis,we employ substructuring for a structure to isolate its local regions that vary d.e to rand.m *** allows for avoid.ng repeated.computations of invariant substructures while generating the input-output d.ta *** substructuring with static cond.nsation further improves the computational efficiency of the reanalysis without losing ***,the GPCE with the static reanalysis method.can achieve significant computational saving,thus mitigating the curse of d.mensionality to some d.gree for UQ und.r high-d.mensional *** numerical results obtained.from a simple structure ind.cate that the proposed.method.for UQ prod.ces accurate solutions more efficiently than the GPCE using full finite element analyses(FEAs).We also d.monstrate the efficiency and.scalability of the proposed.method.by executing UQ for a large-scale wing-box structure und.r ten-d.mensional(all-d.pend.nt)rand.m inputs.
