The usage of continuous cooling transformation （CCT） diagrams in numerical welding simulations is state of the art. Nevertheless, specifications provide limits in chemical composition of materials which result in different CCT behavior and CCT diagrams, respectively. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the influence of variations in CCT diagrams on the developing residual stresses. In the present paper, four CCT diagrams and their effect on numerical calculation of residual stresses are investigated for the widely used structural steel S355j. ＋ N welded by the gas metal arc welding （GMAW） process. Rather than performing an arbitrary adj.stment of CCT behavior, four j.stifiable data sets were used as input to the numerical calculation： data available in the Sysweld database, experimental data acquired through Gleeble dilatometry tests, and TTTICCT predictions calculated from the j.atPro and Edison Welding Institute （EWI） Virtual j.ining Portal software. The performed numerical analyses resulted in noticeable deviations in residual stresses considering the different CCT diagrams. Furthermore, possibilities to improve the prediction of distortions and residual stress based on CCT behavior are discussed.

Acellular matrices derived from animal and human cadaveric donor vessels or other tubular matrices are appropriate candidates for the creation of tissue- en-gineered, small-diameter, muscular arteries. Engi-neering principles have been used to design a bio-reactor and the necessary auxiliary systems for the reconstitution of a previously decellularized vascular matrix. The bioreactor enables the attachment of cells to the luminal and/or exterior surfaces of the matrix. For the recellularization procedure, the matrix is situated within a sealed compartment in order to maintain a sterile environment. The matrix is rotated continuously to assure a spatially uniform re-constitution. The auxiliary systems that serve the bioreactor are: (a) an oxygenator, (b) peristaltic pumps, one for conveying the internal cell medium and the other for conveying the external cell medium, (c) motor and gearing to create steady and controlled rotation, (d) reservoirs for the containment of the two media, and (e) tubing to convey the respective fluids and to interconnect the bioreactor culture chamber to the various auxiliary components. A recellularized matrix produced by the bioreactor demonstrated its capabilities to reconstitute a previously decellularized scaffold.

Background:Psycho social factors predict recurrent inj.ury and return to preinj.ry level of performance following orthopedic inj.ry but are poorly understood following *** management protocols prioritize physical measures of ***,the obj.ctive of this study was to describe the psychosocial factors associated with return to sport(RTS) and how they are measured in athletes who sustained a ***:MEDLINE,Embase,APA PsycINFO,CINAHL,and SPORTDiscus were searched through February 2,*** studies included original peer-reviewed publications describing psychosocial factors associated with RTS following a diagnosed *** primary outcome was scales or measures employed and/or key thematic ***:Of the 3615 studies identified,10 quantitative cohort studies(Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine Level-3) representing 2032 athletes(85% male;high-school and collegiate collision/contact athletes) and 4 qualitative studies representing 66 athletes(74% male;70% American football;aged 9-28 years) were *** identified 3 overarching themes and 10 outcome measures related to psychosocial factors associated with RTS following concussion:(a) fear(e.g,of recurrent concussion,of RTS,of losing playing status);(b) emotional factors(e.g,depression,anxiety,perceived stress,mental health,disturbance mood);and(c) contextual factors(e.g,social support,pressure,sense of identity).Conclusion:Although current medical clearance decisions prioritize physical measures of recovery,evidence suggests diverse psychosocial factors influence RTS following *** remains unclear which psychosocial factors contribute to a successful RTS,including the influence of sex/gender and *** studies should evaluate the association of psychological readiness with physical measures of recovery at medical clearance,preinj.ry level of performance,and risk of recurrent concussion to support RTS clinical decision-making.

The identification of j.ts originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rej.cting j.ts from gluon over j.ts from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the j.t,and the other combines several j.t substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the j.t *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for j.ts with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

In recent years,Representational State Transfer(REST)has been proposed as the architectural style for the World Wide *** promises of scalability and simple deployment of Web Services seem to be particularly appealing for Earth and Space Science(ESS)*** fact,most of the available solutions for geospatial data sharing,applying standard interoperability specifications,require complex service-oriented infrastructures;these are powerful and extensible environments,but they usually result in difficult to deploy and manage for ESS research ***,ESS researchers would gain great benefit from an easy way of sharing geo-information using the international interoperability *** variety and complexity of geo-information sharing services poses several architectural issues;in fact these services encompass sensor planning and observation,coverages and features publication and retrieving,models and simulations running,data citation and ***,the adoption of a specific architectural style must be carefully evaluated against these specific *** this work we analyse the existing geospatial services from an architectural perspective and investigate their possible RESTful *** attention is paid to the OGC Web Coverage Service(WCS).Possible benefits and drawbacks,along with open issues and possible solutions are *** investigation suggests that REST may fit well to the typical ESS research usage ***,the architectural choice(*** Obj.ct Access Protocol(SOAP)vs REST)will depend on a case-by-case *** important factors must be considered,such as the application context:a valuable example in point are the e-Business and e-Government application scenarios which require message based solutions-like those implemented by *** any case,there is a clear need for harmonization and reconciliation of these two approaches.

Following the unanimous recommendation of the International Commission on Stratigraphy, the Global boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) for the base of the Cenomanian Stage is defined at a level 36 metres below the top of the Marnes Bleues Formation, a level that corresponds to the the first appearance of the planktonic foraminiferan Rotalipora globotruncanoides Sigal, 1948, on the south side of Mont Risou, east of Rosans, Haute-Alpes, France, where it can be placed in the context of a series of secondary marker levels based on nannofossils, planktonic foraminifera, ammonites,and an ornate δ^13C curve.

Thermally grown surface oxide layers dominate the single-asperity tribological behavior of a Zr60Cu30Al10 glass. Increase in oxidation time leads to an increased contribution of shearing and a corresponding decreased contribution of ploughing to friction. This change in the dominating friction and wear mechanism results in an overall minor decrease of the friction coefficient of oxidized surfaces compared to the metallic glass sample with native surface oxide. Our results demonstrate the importance of creating a stable oxide layer for practical applications of metallic glasses in micro-devices involving sliding contact.

Seasonal tropical cyclone(TC)forecasting has evolved substantially since its commencement in the early ***,present operational seasonal TC forecasting services still do not meet the requirements of society and stakeholders:current operational products are mainly basin-scale information,while more detailed sub-basin scale information such as potential risks of TC landfall is anticipated for decision *** fill this gap and make the TC science and services move forward,this paper reviews recent research and development in seasonal tropical cyclone(TC)*** particular,this paper features new research topics on seasonal TC predictability in neutral conditions of El Ni˜no–Southern Oscillation(ENSO),emerging forecasting techniques of seasonal TC activity including Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence,and multi-annual TC *** also review the skill of forecast systems at predicting landfalling statistics for certain regions of the North Atlantic,Western North Pacific and South Indian oceans and discuss the gap that remains between current products and potential user's *** knowledge and advanced forecasting techniques are expected to further enhance the capability of seasonal TC forecasting and lead to more actionable and fit-for-purpose products.

The reconstruction and subsequent particle identification is a challenge in a complex and a high luminosity environment such as those expected in the ATLAS detector at the *** ATLAS software has chosen the obj.ct oriented paradigm and has recently migrated much of its software components developed earlier using procedural programming *** new software,which emphasizes on the separation between algorthms and data obj.cts,has been successfully integrated in the broader ATLAS *** will present a status report of the reconstruction software summarizing the experiences gained in the migration of several software *** will examine some of the components of the calorimeter software design,which include simulation of real-time detector effects and online environment,and strategies deployed for identification of particles.
