Low-carbon Development Path of Ordos Based on LEAP Model

To determine the low-carbon development path of Ordos，three scenarios（baseline scenario，low carbon scenario，and enhanced low carbon scenario）were constructed based on the LEAP model to forecast the energy.demand and carbon emission in Ordos from 2020 to 2050 and to analy.e the contribution of various policy.initiatives to reduce carbon emission. The results showed that under the enhanced low carbon scenario，the energy.demand in Ordos peaked at 52 million tons of standard coal equivalent in 2025 and decreased to 40 million tons of standard coal equivalent in 2050，and carbon emissions peaked at 163 million tons in 2025 and decreased to 16 million tons in 2050，which was 88% lower than that in 2020. Regarding emission reduction contribution，comparing the baseline scenario and the enhanced low-carbon scenario，the increase in renewable energy.power generation installation，the reduction in energy.consumption of terminal energy.use，and the increase in terminal electrification rate contributed to the emission reductions of 43%，25%，and 24%，respectively. The Ordos should vigorously.develop renewable energy.and make full use of the rich endowment of wind and light resources；at the same time，it should promote economic transformation and gradually.increase the proportion of high-value-added and low-energy.consuming industries in the industrial structure. For the power sector，the power generation structure should be adj.sted. Traditional thermal power generation should be replaced by.zero-carbon and low-carbon power generation technologies. For the industrial and transportation sectors，the terminal electrification rate should be increased，and the energy.intensity.should be reduced. © 2024 Science Press. All rights reserved.

Plastic pollution, both primary.and secondary. is an environmental challenge, prompting regulatory.actions at global and regional levels. With increasing research about the impacts of micro- and nanoplastics on ecosy.tems and human health, governments worldwide have undertaken efforts to address this issue. The global community.has advanced regulatory.efforts that have led to the implementation of national laws or regulations in numerous countries. These measures ban or restrict the use of primary.and secondary.microplastics and nanoplastics. An overview of global and European regulatory.frameworks is presented to provide context for the United States (US). In the endeavor to document plastics regulation development in the US, a description of regulatory.agencies and their roles in advancing policy.and rules as well as future direction and areas for improvement in regulating plastics are introduced. A discussion of what emerging regulations mean to utilities and industries is also provided along with a comparison of regulatory.frameworks.

In this study.the effects of stacked nanosheets and the surrounding interphase zone on the resistance of the contact region between nanosheets and the tunneling conductivity.of samples are evaluated with developed equations superior to those previously.*** contact resistance and nanocomposite conductivity.are modeled by.several influencing factors,including stack properties,interphase depth,tunneling size,and contact *** developed model's accuracy.is verified through numerous experimental *** further validate the models and establish correlations between parameters,the effects of all the variables on contact resistance and nanocomposite conductivity.are ***,the contact resistance is primarily.dependent on the poly.er tunnel resistivity.contact area,and tunneling *** dimensions of the graphene nanosheets significantly.influence the conductivity.which ranges from 0 S/m to90 S/*** increased number of nanosheets in stacks and a larger gap between them enhance the nanocomposite's ***,the thicker interphase and smaller tunneling size can lead to higher sample conductivity.due to their optimistic effects on the percolation threshold and network efficacy.

Spatiotemporal Characteristics and Influencing Factors of the Sy.ergistic Effect of Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction in China

Based on the use of the coupling coordination model to calculate the coupling coordination degree of carbon emission and pollutant control，the national，regional，and provincial spatiotemporal characteristics of the sy.ergistic effect of pollution control and carbon emissions reduction in China were further analy.ed，facilitating the crucial to identification of key.areas. The fixed effects regression models and provincial panel data from 2006 to 2020 were used to explore factors contributing to better sy.ergizing the reduction of pollution and carbon emissions in China. On this basis，the adj.stment variable of R&D investment intensity.was introduced，and the regulation effect model was constructed to further explore the influence mechanism of the sy.ergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon reduction. The results showed that：sy.ergy.exists between carbon emission reduction and the air pollution control sy.tem，the evolution of the sy.ergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon reduction in China presented an inverted "U"-shaped trend from 2006 to 2020，and there was spatial aggregation and a spatial spillover effect in pollution reduction and carbon reduction. The sy.ergistic governance of carbon emission and pollutant control was still at a relatively.low level. The carbon emission and air pollutant emission sy.tems were still in an unstable and uncoordinated state. The results showed that：The degree of coordination of eastern China，central China，and western China decreased in turn. At the national level，energy.consumption structure，per capita GDP，and the proportion of green investment were the main factors affecting the sy.ergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon. Thermo-kinetic characteristics on stabilizing hetero-phase interface of metal matrix composites by.cry.tal plasticity.finite element method

Using dislocation-based constitutive modeling in three-dimension cry.tal plasticity.finite element(3D CPFE)simulations,co-deformation and instability.of hetero-phase interface in different material sy.tems were herein studied for poly.ry.talline metal matrix composites(MMCs).Local stress and strain fields in two ty.es of 3lay.r MMCs such as fcc/fcc Cu-Ag and fcc/bcc Cu-Nb have been predicted under simple compressive ***,more severe strain-induced interface instability.can be observed in the fcc/bcc sy.tems than in the fcc/fcc sy.tems upon refining to metallic nanolay.red composites(MNCs).By.detailed analy.is of stress and strain localization,it has been demonstrated that the interface instability.is alway. accompanied by.high-stress concentration,i.e.,thermody.amic characteristics,or high strain prevention i.e.,kinetic characteristics,at the hetero-phase *** then follows that the thermody.amic driving forceG and the kinetic energy.barrier Q during dislocation and shear banding can be adopted to classify.the deformation modes,following the so-called thermo-kinetic *** by.inserting a high density.of high-energy.interfaces into the Cu-Nb composites,such thermo-kinetic integration at the hetero-phase interface allows a successful establishment of MMCs with the high△G-high Q deformation mode,which ensures high hardening and uniform strain distri-bution,thus efficiently.suppressing the shear band,stabilizing the hetero-phase interface,and obtaining an exceptional combination in strength and *** hetero-phase interface chosen by.a couple of thermody.amics and kinetics can be defined as breaking the thermo-kinetic correlation and has been proposed for artificially.designing MNCs.

Predicting Purchasing Behavior on E-Commerce Platforms: A Regression Model Approach for Understanding User Features that Lead to Purchasing

This research introduces a novel approach to improve and optimize the predictive capacity.of consumer purchase behaviors on e-commerce platforms. This study.presented an introduction to the fundamental concepts of the logistic regression algorithm. In addition, it analy.ed user data obtained from an e-commerce platform. The original data were preprocessed, and a consumer purchase prediction model was developed for the e-commerce platform using the logistic regression method. The comparison study.used the classic random forest approach, further enhanced by.including the K-fold cross-validation method. Evaluation of the accuracy.of the model’s classification was conducted using performance indicators that included the accuracy.rate, the precision rate, the recall rate, and the F1 score. A visual examination determined the significance of the findings. The findings suggest that employ.ng the logistic regression algorithm to forecast customer purchase behaviors on e-commerce platforms can improve the efficacy.of the approach and y.eld more accurate predictions. This study.serves as a valuable resource for improving the precision of forecasting customers’ purchase behaviors on e-commerce platforms. It has significant practical implications for optimizing the operational efficiency.of e-commerce platforms.

The Brown-Preston-Singleton(BPS)stopping power model is added to our previously.developed hy.rid code to model ion beam-plasma *** simulations show that both resistive field and ion scattering effects are important for proton beam transport in a solid target,in which they.compete with each *** the target is not completely.ionized,the self-generated resistive field effect dominates over the ion scattering ***,when the target is completely.ionized,this situation is ***,it is found that Ohmic heating is important for higher current densities and materials with high *** energy.fraction deposited as Ohmic heating can be as high as 20%-30%.Ty.ical ion divergences with half-angles of about 5°-10°will modify.the proton energy.deposition substantially.and should be taken into account.

Water and thermal conditions variation and the vegetation response at semi⁃ arid Basin

Recently. most semi⁃arid basins in China have experienced vegetation greening under significant water and thermal conditions changes, which has exacerbated the shortage of water resources despite the positive effect of increasing carbon sinks and reducing carbon emissions. The study.of vegetation response under variations of water and thermal conditions can help to understand the mechanism of the balance between the hy.rological processes and vegetation pattern and is of great significance for the sustainable utilization of water resources and ecological protection. However, few studies have focused on the time⁃periodic and segmented response mechanisms of vegetation dy.amics to variations of water and thermal conditions, resulting in unclear mechanisms of trade⁃off between vegetation greening and water resources. This study.analy.ed the varied trends of water and thermal conditions and discussed the spatio⁃temporal response of vegetation from two points: overall trends and varied processes at the upper and middle Hailar River Basin from 1980 to 2012 by.using trends and wavelet period analy.is. The results show that: (1) spatially. the average annual precipitation increased and the temperature decreased from west (grassland) to east (forest). Compared with the grassland area, the runoff and the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) in the forest area showed larger, and indicated slower warming and larger precipitation declining. (2) Temporally. the average annual precipitation and the runoff slightly.decreased with a trend of 10 mm/ 10 a and 19.3 mm/ 10 a, respectively. the average annual temperature and NDVI in the growing season increased significantly.with a trend of 0.65 ℃ / 10 a and 0.003—0.006/ 10 a, respectively. The results suggested that warming and dry.ng inhibited the runoff and increased the vegetation growth, even in the context of precipitation increased and smooth increasing trend of temperature after 1998, showing the accumulative effect of w
