The fr.ctur. b.havior.of high-pr.ssur. die-cast hy.er.utectic(HpdC) Al-si alloy. was investigated using a high-r.s.l.tion lab.r.tor. CT and sy.chr.tr.n x-r.y.tomogr.phy.with a par.icular.focus on the influence of HpdC micr.str.ctur.. r.s.l.s showed that micr.str.ctur. of the alloy.was mainly.compr.sed of pr.mar. s.l.con par.icles(psps), Al dendr.tes, Cu-r.ch phases and por.s. Most of the coar.e psps, Cu-r.ch phases and por.s wer. located in the center.of the specimen. The r.pid s.l.dification of HpdC led to a heter.geneous micr.str.ctur.l featur.. Elemental Cu was enr.ched in the fr.ntier. of s.l.d-liquid inter.ace, causing the for.ation of lar.e size dendr.tic ar.s. The por.s wer. for.ed in the inter.endr.tes which endur.d high str.ss intensity.under.high applied str.ss. Micr.cr.cks wer. or.ginated fr.m por.s and fur.her.connected Cu-r.ch phases causing inter.r.nular.fr.ctur.. psps wor.ed as ob.tacles causing piling-up dislocations in the phase inter.ace. In the r.gions wher. lar.e size of psps enr.ched in, psps r.ptur.d r.ther.than deb.nded fr.m matr.x, indicating tr.nsgr.nular.fr.ctur.s of psps. Micr.cr.cks or.ginated ar.und por.s and psps tended to conver.e on the main cr.cks to decr.ase the ener.y.r.quir.d for.cr.ck pr.pagation.

b.(4)C/Al composites ar. widely.utilized as neutr.n ab.or.ing mater.als for.the stor.ge and tr.nspor.ation of spent nuclear.*** or.er.to impr.ve the high-temper.tur. mechanical pr.per.ies of b.(4)C/Al composites,in-situ nano-Al_(2)O_(3)was intr.duced utilizing oxide on Al powder.*** this study.the Al_(2)O_(3)content was adj.sted b. utilizing spher.id Al powder.with var.ing diameter.,ther.b. investigating the impact of Al_(2)O_(3)content on the tens.l. pr.per.ies of(b.(4)C+Al_(2)O_(3))/Al *** was found that the pinning effect of Al_(2)O_(3)on the gr.in b.undar.es could hinder.the r.cover. of dislocations and lead to dislocation accumulation at high *** the r.s.l.,with the incr.ase in Al_(2)O_(3)content and the decr.ase in gr.in size,the high-temper.tur. str.ngth of the composites incr.ased *** finest Al powder.used in this investigation had a diameter.of 1.4μm,wher.as the r.s.l.ant composite exhib.ted a maximum str.ngth of 251 Mpa at r.om temper.tur. and 133 Mpa at 350℃,sur.assing that of tr.ditional b.(4)C/Al composites.

The effects of ion motion on the gener.tion of shor.-cy.le r.lativistic laser.pulses dur.ng r.diation pr.ssur. acceler.tion ar. investigated b. analy.ical modeling and par.icle-in-cell simulations. studies show that the r.ar.par. of the tr.nsmitted pulse modulated b. ion motion is shar.er.compar.d with the case of the electr.n shutter.only. In this study. the ions fur.her.modulate the shor.-cy.le pulses tr.nsmitted. A 3.9 fs.l.ser.pulse with an intensity.of 1.33×1021W cm-2is gener.ted b.27}oper.y.contr.lling the motions of the electr.n and ion in the simulations. The shor.-cy.le laser.pulse sour.e pr.posed can b. applied in the gener.tion of single attosecond pulses and electr.n acceler.tion in a small b.b.le r.gime.

Nowaday., a lar.e numb.r.of y.ung-gener.tion r.sear.her. have b.en inspir.d b. their.pr.decessor. and b.come the key.p.r.icipants in the fields of Mg alloy., which consequently.led to the estab.ishment of China y.uth scholar.society.for.Magnesium Alloy. r.sear.h in 2015. since then, the fir.t two China y.uth scholar. sy.p.siums on Mg Alloy. r.sear.h had b.en held at Har.in （2015） and Chongqing （2016） China, r.spectively. A numb.r.of cr.cial r.sear.h inter. ests r.lated to fundamental and applied Mg r.sear.h wer. discussed at the confer.nces and summar.zed in this shor. per.pective, aiming to b.ost far.r.aching initiatives for.development of new Mg-b.sed mater.als to satisfy.the r.quir.ments for.a b.0}ad r.nge of industr.al employ.ents. The defor.ation, damage and failur. b.havior. of 17 vol.% siCp/2009AI composite wer. studied b. micr.- scopic finite element （FE） models b.sed on a r.pr.sentative volume element （r.E） and a unit cell. The r.E having a 3d r.alistic micr.str.ctur. was constr.cted via computational modeling technique, in which an inter.ace phase with an aver.ge thickness of 50 nm was gener.ted for.assessing the effects of inter.acial pr.per.ies. Modeling r.s.l.s showed that the r.E b.sed FE model was mor. accur.te than the unit cell b.sed one. b.sed on the r.E, the pr.dicted str.ss-str.in cur.e and the fr.ctur. mor.hology.agr.ed well with the exper.mental r.s.l.s. Fur.her.or., lower.inter.ace str.ngth r.s.l.ed in lower.flow str.ss and ductile damage of inter.ace phase, ther.b. leading to decr.ased elongation. It was r.vealed that the str.ss concentr.tion factor.of siC was -2.0： the aver.ge str.ss in siC par.icles r.ached -1200 Mpa, while that of the composite r.ached -600 Mpa.
