Reconst.uct.on of bone defect. or fract.res caused by ageing, t.auma and t.mour resect.on is st.ll a great.challenge in clinical t.eat.ent. Alt.ough aut.logous bone graft.is considered as gold st.ndard, t.e source of nat.ral bone is limit.d. In recent.years, regenerat.ve t.erapy based on bioact.ve mat.rials has been proposed for bone reconst.uct.on. Specially, numerous st.dies have indicat.d t.at.bioact.ve ceramics including silicat. and phosphat. bioceramics exhibit.excellent.ost.oinduct.vit. and ost.oconduct.vit., furt.er promot. bone regenerat.on. In addit.on, magnesium (Mg) element. as an indispensable mineral element. plays a vit.l role in promot.ng bone mineralisat.on and format.on. In t.is review, different.t.pes of Mg-cont.ining bioceramics including Mg-cont.ining calcium phosphat.-based bioceramics (such as Mg-hydroxyapat.t., Mg-biphasic calcium phosphat.), Mg-cont.ining calcium silicat.-based bioceramics (such as Mg2SiO4, Ca2MgSi2O7and Mg-doped bioglass), Mg-based biocement., Mg-cont.ining met.l/polymer-bioceramic composit.s were syst.mat.cially summarised. Addit.onally, t.e fabricat.on t.chnologies and t.eir mat.riobiological effect. were deeply discussed, Clinical applicat.ons and perspect.ves of magnesium-cont.ining bioceramics for bone repair are highlight.d. t.e ball and plat. syst.m is an inherent.y nonlinear under act.at.d benchmark syst.m used for validat.ng t.e performance of various cont.ol schemes. A mat.emat.cal model depict.ng t.e dynamics close t. t.at.of t.e syst.m is very much required for such a t.st.bed. In t.is correspondence, t.e complet. nonlinear model, a simplified nonlinear model, and a linearized model of t.e ball and plat. syst.m are developed. t.e syst.m comprises a ball and plat. mechanism and a rot.ry servo unit. t.e ball and plat. mechanism is modelled using t.e Euler–Lagrange met.od, whereas t.e rot.ry servo subsyst.m is modelled from t.e first.principles. t.e nonlinear model of t.e combined syst.m is developed by including t.e dynamics of t.e servo mot.r wit. gear and rolling resist.nce bet.een t.e ball and t.e plat.. t.e simplified nonlinear model of t.e syst.m is obt.ined wit. suit.ble assumpt.ons. t.e model is linearized around t.e operat.ng point.using t.e j.cobian. t.e validit. of t.e developed models is invest.gat.d t.rough correlat.on funct.on analysis. t.e open-loop response of t.e t.ree models, viz., nonlinear, simplified nonlinear, and linearized models, is analyzed in t.e MAt.AB/Simulink plat.orm. Collaborat.ng wit. Samoa’s Wat.r Resources Division in t.e Minist.y of Nat.ral Resources and Environment.(MNRE), t.ree sit.s along each river were sampled, represent.ng a gradient.from prist.ne t. ant.ropogenically impact.d areas. A t.t.l of 2953 macroinvert.brat.s were collect.d and classified int. five cat.gories using est.blished ident.ficat.on keys. t.e Macroinvert.brat. Communit. Index (MCI) and Quant.t.t.ve Macroinvert.brat. Communit. Index (QMCI) were applied for analysis. t.e result. showed no clear pat.ern of pollut.nt.sensit.ve species prevalence or decline in less dist.rbed rivers. High MCI scores wit. low QMCI values indicat.d numerous low-scoring species, while t.e opposit. suggest.d a richness of high-scoring t.xa. Alt.ough MCI and QMCI are t.ols for monit.ring freshwat.r healt., t.is st.dy lays t.e groundwork for fut.re research t. cat.gorize Samoan macroinvert.brat.s and assign t.lerance scores based on t.eir presence in varying river condit.ons. .

Obj.ct.ve: Psoriasis is associat.d wit. a high prevalence of met.bolic syndrome (MS), and pat.ent. wit. concomit.nt.psoriasis and MS are more severely affect.d and less responsive t. t.eat.ent. However, t.e molecular mechanisms behind t.ese effect. are unknown. Recent.st.dies have shown t.at.lept.n may serve as a molecular link bet.een psoriasis and MS, suggest.ng t.at.high lept.n concent.at.ons may exacerbat. psoriasis. However, t.e molecular mechanism of t.is effect.is st.ll unclear. We aimed t. invest.gat. t.e effect.of lept.n on aut.phagy in pat.ent. wit. psoriasis. Met.ods: From j.nuary 2021 t. j.ne 2022 in PLA General Hospit.l, we enrolled 51 pat.ent. wit. psoriasis, including 21 pat.ent. wit. MS and 30 wit.out.MS, and 30 healt.y cont.ols who had undergone nevus surgery. We measured t.e epidermal lept.n, P62, and LC3B concent.at.ons of pat.ent. by immunohist.chemist.y, and measured t.e serum lept.n concent.at.on by enzyme-linked immunosorbent.assay. We t.en performed correlat.on analyses t. compare t.ese prot.ins' concent.at.ons bet.een pat.ent. wit. concomit.nt.psoriasis and MS, pat.ent. wit. psoriasis alone, and healt.y cont.ol groups. Addit.onally, we performed west.rn blot.ing aft.r in vit.o cult.re of HaCat.cells wit. different.concent.at.ons of lept.n and measured t.e expression levels of t.e aut.phagy markers Beclin1, LC3B, and P62; t.e different.at.on markers K10, K16, and K17; and PI3K/AKt.mt.R signaling pat.way-relat.d prot.ins of HaCat.cells. Next. we t.ansfect.d At.5 int. HaCat.cells t. revert.aut.phagy and used t.e specific PI3K inhibit.r LY294002 t. block PI3K/AKt.mt.R signaling. t.e expression levels of K10, K16, and K17 of HaCat.cells were again measured. Obj.ct.ve: Xeroderma pigment.sum (XP) is a rare aut.somal recessive dermat.sis caused by genet.c defect. of DNA repair. t.is st.dy was performed t. det.ct.and analyze t.e genes of 2 Uygur pat.ent. wit. XP and t.eir families and assess t.e pat.ent.' phenot.pes, which may enrich t.e underst.nding of t.e genet.c skin disorder spect.um in Xinj.ang area. Met.ods: We collect.d t.e clinical dat. from 2 pat.ent. wit. XP and peripheral blood samples from t.e pat.ent. and t.eir family members. t.e pat.ent.' DNA was sequenced and det.ct.d by Sanger sequencing, and gene mut.t.ons were screened. Result.: t.e proband in family 1 present.d wit. brown maculae at.t.e exposure sit. and squamous cell carcinoma secondary t. a facial rash. t.e proband had a homozygous nucleot.de variat.on of XPC c.2251-2A> G (A change from A t. G in t.e penult.mat. posit.on of t.e int.on before t.e 2251 posit.on in t.e coding region), which was a shear mut.t.on. In t.is family, bot. parent. were het.rozygous, and no similar mut.t.on det.ct.d in t.e sist.r. In family 2, t.e proband had scat.ered black brown spot. and papules on t.e t.unk and limbs. and his younger sist.r was also a pat.ent. t.e proband and his younger sist.r had homonucleot.de variat.on of XPA c.631C> t. which was nonsense mut.t.on, result.ng in t.e codon for Arg No.211 being changed int. t.rminat.on codon (***211X), t.us t.rminat.ng t.e pept.de chain synt.esis premat.rely. All t.e normal individuals in t.e t.o families were het.rozygot.s, and homozygous mut.t.ons occurred in all t.e pat.ent., which was consist.nt.wit. t.e aut.somal recessive inherit.nce.
