Understanding the behaviour of matter under conditions of extreme temperature,pressure,density and electromagnetic fields has profound effects on our understanding of cosmologic obj.cts and the formation of the universe.Lacking direct access to such obj.cts,our interpretation of observed data mainly relies on theoretical models.However,such models,which need to encompass nuclear physics,atomic physics and plasma physics over a huge dynamic range in the dimensions of energy and time,can only provide reliable information if we can benchmark them to experiments under well-defined laboratory conditions.Due to the plethora of effects occurring in this kind of highly excited matter,characterizing isolated dynamics or obtaining direct insight remains challenging.High-density plasmas are turbulent and opaque for radiation below the plasma frequency and allow only near-surface insight into ionization processes with visible wavelengths.Here,the output of a high-harmonic seeded laser-plasma amplifier using eightfold ionized krypton as the gain medium operating at a 32.8 nm wavelength is ptychographically imaged.A complexvalued wavefront is observed in the extreme ultraviolet(XUV)beam with high resolution.Ab initio spatio-temporal Maxwell–Bloch simulations show excellent agreement with the experimental observations,revealing overionization of krypton in the plasma channel due to nonlinear laser-plasma interactions,successfully validating this four-dimensional multiscale model.This constitutes the first experimental observation of the laser ion abundance reshaping a laserplasma amplifier.The presented approach shows the possibility of directly modelling light-plasma interactions in extreme conditions,such as those present during the early times of the universe,with direct experimental verification.

The paper presents the study and stabilization of a paleo-landslide reactivated because of the excavation works carried out at its foot to construct a new lift in Formigal skiing resort. Inclinometers were installed and surface movements were controlled by GPS techniques in order to analyse the sliding surface and to define the stabilization measures to undertake. The data obtained from the instrumentation was used to perform a back-analysis that allowed to determine the kinematics of the movement as well as to define the appropriate stabilization measures. Presently, the evolution of the movement is controlled by GPS.

Background:Children and adolescents can be distinguished by different typologies(clusters) of physical activity and sedentary behavior.How physical activity and sedentary behaviors change over time within different typologies is not known.This study examined longitudinal changes in physical activity and sedentary time among children and adolescents with different baseline typologies of activity-related behavior.Methods:In this longitudinal study(3 annual time points) of children(n=600,age=9.2±0.4 years(mean±SD),50.3% girls) and adolescents(n=1037,age=13.6±1.7 years,48.4% girls),participants were recruited in Spain in 2011-2012.Latent class analyses identified typologies based on self-reported screen,educational,social and relaxing sedentary behaviors,active travel,muscle strengthening activity,and sport at baseline.Within each typology,linear mixed growth models explored longitudinal changes in accelerometer-derived moderate-to-vigorous physical activity and sedentary time,as well as time by class interactions.Results:Three typologies were identified among children( "social screenies",12.8%;"exercisers",61.5%;and "non-sporty active commuters",25.7%) and among adolescents "active screenies",43.5%;"active academics",35.0%;and "non-sporty active commuters",21.5%) at baseline.Sedentary time increased within each typology among children and adolescents,with no significant differences between typologies.No changes in physical activity were found in any typology among children.In adolescents,physical activity declined within all typologies,with "non-sporty active commuters" declining significantly more than "active screenies" over 3 years.Conclusion:These results support the need for interveation to promote physical activity and prevent increases in sedentary time during childhood and adolescence.Adolescents characterized as "non-sporty active commuters" may require specific interventions to maintain their physical activity over time.

Artemia is deficient in polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFAs),particularly in arachidonic(ARA,20:4n-6),eicosapentaenoic(EPA,20:5n-3),and docosahexaenoic acid(DHA,22:6n-3).The aim of this study was to determine the optimal time in which the higher contents of PUFAs in j.veniles of Artemia franciscana were obtained by the effect of enrichment with the tuna orbital oil emulsion.Six enrichment periods were evaluated:3,6,9,12,15 and 18 h,in addition to a control treatment(0 h).The most abundant fatty acids in A.franciscana were monounsaturated(43.10%±4.35–52.92%±5.82%),followed by saturated(33.83%±1.71–42.33%±2.31%)and PUFAs(8.86%±2.83%–21.32%±2.38%).ARA decreased over the enrichment time;the maximum content was 5.74±0.37%at 3 h,which was not statistically different with respect to the content recorded at 0 h.The highest content of EPA was at 3 h(6.47%±1.44%),without significant differences with the content registered at 0 h,while that from 6 h and until 15 h tended to decrease significantly.At 6 h,the content of DHA(8.84%±2.72%)was significantly higher compared to the rest of the treatments,which did not differ among themselves,or with the control.After to the 6 h and until 15 h,the content of PUFAs tended to decrease,which could indicate the metabolization of them by A.franciscana,coupled with the possible oxidation of these fatty acids in the enrichment solution.

Background-The Brugada syndrome is an arrhythmogenic disease caused in part by mutations in the cardiac sodium channel gene, SCN5A. The electrocardiographic pattern characteristic of the syndrome is dynamic and is often absent in affected individuals. Sodium channel blockers are effective i n unmasking carriers of the disease. However, the value of the test remains cont roversial. Methods and Results -We studied 147 individuals representing 4 large families with SCN5A mutations. Of these, 104 were determined to be at possible risk for Brugada syndrome and underwent both electrocardiographic and genetic ev aluation. Twenty-four individuals displayed an ECG diagnostic of Brugada syndro me at baseline. Of the remaining, 71 received intravenous aj.aline. Of the 35 ge netic carriers who received aj.aline, 28 had a positive test and 7 a negative aj.maline test. The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values of the drug challenge were 80%(28:35), 94.4%(34:36), 93.3%(28:30), and 82.9%(34:41), respectively. Penetrance of the disease phenotype increased from 32.7%to 78.6%with the use of sodium channel blockers. In the absence of ST-s egment elevation under baseline conditions, a prolonged P-R interval, but not i ncomplete right bundle-branch block or early repolarization patterns, indicates a high probability of an SCN5A mutation carrier. Conclusions -In families with Brugada syndrome, the data suggest that aj.aline testing is valuable in the dia gnosis of SCN5A carriers. In the absence of ST-segment elevation at baseline, f amily members with first-degree atrioventricular block should be suspected of c arrying the mutation. An aj.aline test is often the key to making the proper dia gnosis in these patients.

Generalized Kelvin-Voigt and Maxwell models using Prony series are some of the most well-known models to characterize the behavior of polymers.The simulation software for viscoelastic materials generally implement only some material models.Therefore,for the practice of the engineer,it is very useful to have formulas that establish the equivalence between different models.Although the existence of these relationships is a well-established fact,moving from one model to another involves a relatively long process.This article presents a development of the relationships between generalized Kelvin-Voigt and Maxwell models using the aforementioned series and their respective relaxation and creep coefficients for one and two summations.The relationship between the singular points(maximums,minimums and inflexion points)is also included.

子宫黏液样平滑肌肉瘤是一种罕见且具侵袭性的恶性肿瘤,易误诊为良性,目前遗传学改变尚不明确。作者选取19例既往诊断为子宫黏液样平滑肌肉瘤或具有黏液样特征的平滑肌肉瘤,分析其临床病理、免疫表型及分子学特征。该系列肿瘤均进行RNA测序,并通过免疫组化标记BCOR、PLAG1和ALK(D5F3)和FISH检测PLAG1、BCOR、BCORL1、HMGA2和ALK基因,排除4例伴BCOR和ALK重排的黏液样肿瘤。剩余15例确诊为黏液样平滑肌肉瘤。患者中位年龄为50岁,其中8例FIGO分期分别为I期(3例)、II期(2例)、Ⅲ(2例)和Ⅳ(1例);另7例分期情况不明。肿瘤直径为10~24 cm,所有病例肿瘤基质均呈黏液样,其中2例伴嗜酸性。肿瘤细胞呈梭形或上皮样形,细胞核伴轻至重度异型,核分裂数<1~14个/10 HPF。6例(40%)伴肿瘤坏死。7例免疫组化弥漫表达PLAG1,其中4例(27%)测序检测有新型TRPS1-PLAG1或RAD51B-PLAG1基因融合,且经FISH证实存在PLAG1重排;而有无PLAG1基因融合患者,其组织学特征上并无差异。
