Effect of Dietary Nitrogen Corrected-True Metabolism Energy and Digestible Amino Acids on Broiler Breeder Reproductive Performance

A study was conducted to determine the effects of dietary digestible amino acids of feedstuffs and true metabolizable energy corrected for nitrogen on broiler breeder performance in 50 weeks to 64 weeks of age. 140 females and 20 males broiler breeders in 4 treatments with 5 replicates （7 females with a male） were used in the form of a completely randomized trial design 2 ~ 2 factorial. Four experimental diets were formulation based on two factors, first factor was included, two types of Apparent and True Metabolizable Energy corrected for Nitrogen （AMEn and TMEn） and the second factor was included, two types of Total Amino Acids （TAA） and Digestible （DAA） of feedstuffs. The result showed that egg weight, egg production （%） and egg mass （g/hen/day） was significantly different which was affected by diets formulation based on energy and interaction between energy and amino acids （P 〈 0.01）. Treatment 2 （AMEn ＋ DAA） was at the highest level significantly different （P 〈 0.01） in egg weight 68.97 g, egg production 62.45%, and egg mass 43. i g/hen/day. Hatching eggs were significantly different which was affected by diet formulation based on amino acids. Fertility, hatchability and number of chicks per hen were significant different, that were affected by diet formulation based on energy （P 〈 0.05）. Interaction between two factors, were significantly different in two reproductive traits fertility and hatchability （P 〈 0.05）. This experiment showed that diet formulation based on AMEn and DAA for broiler breeder was better and significant on performance.

An assessment of the concentrations of particulate polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the aftermath of a chemical store fire incident

PM 10 airborne particles and soot deposit collected after a fire incident at a chemical store were analyzed in order to determine the concentrations of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs). The samples were extracted with 1∶1 hexane-dichloromethane by ultrasonic agitation. The extracts were then subj.cted to gas chromatography-mass spectrometric(GC-MS) analysis. The total PAHs concentrations in airborne particles and soot deposit were found to be 3.27±1.55 ng/m 3 and 12.81±24.37 μg/g, respectively. Based on the molecular distributions of PAHs and the interpretation of their diagnostic ratios such as PHEN/(PHEN + ANTH), FLT/(FLT + PYR) and BeP/(BeP + BaP), PAHs in both airborne particles and soot deposit may be inferred to be from the same source. The difference in the value of IP/(IP + BgP) for these samples indicated that benzo[g,h,i]perylene and coronene tend to be attached to finer particles and reside in the air for longer periods. Comparison between the molecular distributions of PAHs and their diagnostic ratios observed in the current study with those reported for urban atmospheric and roadside soil particles revealed that they are of different sources.

The chemical preparation, crystal structure and infrared spectroscopic characterization of the triaqua（4-amino-6-methoxypyrimidine） cuprate（II） sulfate, [Cu（C5H7N3）（H2O）3]SO4, is reported. The compound crystallizes in the noncentrosymmetric orthorhombic space group P212121 with lattice parameters a = 7.9025（3）, b = 11.1189（4）, c = 12.9720（4） , V = 1139.81（7） ~3 and Z = 4. The Cu（II） cation is fivecoordinated, in an early half-way between square pyramidal and trigonal bipyramidal fashion, by two nitrogen atoms of the 4-amino-6-methoxypyrimidine ligand and three water oxygen atoms. In the atomic arrangement, the organic ligands and the 5-connected Cu centers are linked with each other to give a 1-D corrugated hybrid chain running along the b-axis direction. The chains are interconnected by the SO4^（2-） anions via O–H...O, O–H...S, C–H...O and N–H...O hydrogen bonds to form layers spreading parallel to the（011） plane. The vibrational absorption bands were identified by infrared spectroscopy. Quantitative measurements of the second harmonic generation（SHG） of a powdered sample at 1064 nm were performed and a relative efficiency of 5.2 times the KDP standard was observed. Magnetic properties were also defined to characterize the complex. Magnetic measurements revealed that this material had a onedimensional antiferromagnetic character. The magnetic parameters were g = 2.11 and 2j.k B = -36 K.

Postoperative complications of colectomy and j. pouch with ileostomy versus without ileostomy in children with inflammatory bowel diseases: a systematic review and meta- analysis

Background The efficacy of performing a restorative proctocolectomy and j.pouch ileoanal anastomosis without diverting ileostomy in children with inflammatory bowel disease has been a longstanding debate.A systematic review and meta-analysis is presented comparing the occurrence of postoperative complications in children who underwent either the pouch-anal anastomosis(IPAA)with ileostomy(diverted)versus the undiverted *** Records were sourced from CINAHL,CENTRAL,EMBASE and MEDLINE *** followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines and compared postoperative complications in pediatric patients diagnosed with inflammatory diseases aged less than 18 years who underwent j.pouch with ileostomy versus without *** primary outcome was the occurrence of postoperative leaks,and the secondary outcomes were presence of postoperative small bowel obstruction(SBO),pouchitis,stricture and fistula complications.A random-effects meta-analysis was *** Twenty-three observational studies in the systematic review were included with 658 patients(83%diverted,17%undiverted).Pooled estimates showed no difference in occurrence of leaks in children who underwent j.pouch/IPAA with ileostomy versus without(odds ratio(OR)0.54,95%confidence interval(CI)0.17 to 1.64,I^(2)=16%).There was no difference in the occurrence of SBO,pouchitis or strictures in children who underwent j.pouch/IPAA with ileostomy versus without(SBO:OR 2.27,95%CI 0.52 to 9.92,I^(2)=0%,pouchitis:OR 1.76,95%CI 0.95 to 3.24,I^(2)=0%,strictures:OR 2.72,95%CI 0.44 to 16.69,I^(2)=66%).Conclusion The meta-analysis did not find differences in the occurrence of complications in pediatric patients who underwent the IPAA with ileostomy procedure versus without ileostomy.

j.niperus species （j.niper） are resistant to drought and have medicinal properties. In order to investigatethe condition of j.niper reproduction and prevent a decline in its area, largely caused by problems in natural regeneration, the asexual reproduction of j.niper has received special attention besides its sexual propagation. Among the six species of j.niper in Iran, the most abundant are j.niperus polycarpos and j. excelsa. j.niperus polycarpos is ambi-sexual and j. excelsa unisexual. We show that collecting seeds in September provided for better germination than in November. In sexual propagation 82.0% and in asexual （graft） 47.6% success were achieved. Compared to a mixture of water, lime and hormones, a natural treatment of only water had better results. Diurnal change of temperature increased germination of j.niper seeds over a constant temperature. Aphyllous stem cuttings from mature and old trees are less successful in rooting than leafy cuttings of j.niper saplings. A treatment with Aaterra significantly reduced the percentage of rooted cuttings and total root length. Aliette, Fongarid, Octave, Benomyl, Delsene M and Maneb fungicides significantly increased the percentage of rooted cuttings but did not affect total root length. Autumn explants formed more calli than spring explants. Successful multiplication was achieved by treating buds with a mixture of 0.7% polyvinyl pyrrolidone （PVP） and 2% sucrose and cultured in a basal MS or WRC medium, with a maximum number of new buds. In consideration of extracted material of j.niper species in remedy of infectious, fungus, contagious diseases as well as for drought resistance and longevity of this species in severe arid environmental conditions and various industrial applications, reproduction and seed production by micro propagation and biotechnology are necessary.

The separation of rare earth elements using diatomite M45 from aqueous solutions was *** experimental isotherms for the adsorption of trivalent lanthanum,cerium,and neodymium cations on this adsorbent were quantified under strongly acidic conditions(pH 2)at 298-328 *** adsorption equilibria of these earth elements were analyzed using two statistical physics models(homogeneous and heterogeneous monolayer models).The results show that the adsorption of these ions implies a multiionic mechanism,which is ***-containing functional groups are responsible for the adsorption of these rare-earth elements on the diatomite surface.A heterogeneous statistical physics model confirms that two Si-based functional groups participate in the separation of these *** calculated adsorption capacities at saturation follow the order:neodymium>cerium>*** interaction energies range from 28600 to 40100 j.mol,indicating physical adsorption on diatomite *** study demonstrates that diatomite M45 is a promising separation medium that can be used for the recovery of REEs dissolved in aqueous solutions via adsorption.

Genetic comparison between Rhynchophorus ferrugineus （Coleoptera： Curculionidae： Rhynchophorinae） and other four Rhynchophorus spp. such as R. bilineatus, R. phoenicis, R. cruentatus and R. palmarum was investigated using partial sequences of Cytochrome c oxidase subunit I （COl） mitochondrial gene. The number ofpolymorphic sites ranged from 79 to 102 while the genetic distances ranged from 0.058 to 0.095. The number of polymorphic sites, genetic distances and phylogenetic relationships among R. ferrugineus and the other four tested species revealed that *** was more closely related to R. bilineatus while it was distantly related to R. palmarum. It is possible to rank the five tested species as follows： ***, R. bilineatus, R. phoenicis, R. cruentatus and R. palmarum. The result of this study is the first step of the revision of the uncertain taxonomic status and phylogenetic relationships among the Rhynchophorus genus. Further analysis should be performed using other Rhynchophorus species as well as other molecular markers.

Aspiration of Timothy grass in the airway is a well-recognized cause of bronc hiectasis, and management often requires pulmonary resection. The authors descri be 2 cases of Timothy grass aspiration with established pulmonary infection that were successfully managed by bronchoscopic removal with subsequent improvement. Every effort should be made to accomplish this goal, and pulmonary resection sh ould be considered a last resort in these cases.

The Red Palm Weevil （RPW）, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus （Olivier）, （Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Rhynchophorinae）, is an invasive species that is originated from Southeast Asia. It has invaded Middle East, several countries of the Mediterranean Basin, Caribbean （Island of Curacao, Netherland Antilles）, Lebanon and United States of America （Laguna Beach, Orange County, California） during the last three decades where it attacks palm trees. This study investigated the geographical variation among geographic populations of RPW collected from twelve invaded countries using cytochrome b （Cytb） and ITS2 partial sequences. The comparison among the Cytb sequences resulted in three different haplotypes designated as HB 1 to HB3. The three haplotypes were subdivided into two phylogenetic groups according to their geographic positions：（1） the ＂Multi-Continent＂ group containing HB 1 haplotype detected in eight populations belonging to three different Continents such as Africa-Egypt, Asia-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkey and Europe-Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and France, and （2） the ＂Asian＂ group includes four populations from Iran （harboring HB2 haplotype）, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman （harboring HB3 haplotype）. This mitochondrial pattern of genetic diversity suggests that the tested RPW populations subdivided genetically into different sub-populations under the influence of genetic drift. According to these results we concluded that the twelve studied RPW populations are originating from different source populations in the RPW area of origin.

Assessing Soil-Related Black Spruce and White Spruce Plantation Productivity

This article focuses on modelling and mapping the productivity of black (Picea mariana) and white spruce (Picea glauca) plantations across the Black Brook forest management area in northwestern New Brunswick, Canada, encompassing about 200,000 ha. This effort involved establishing 3500 50 m2 survey plots, each informing about: plantation age (15 to 43 years), planted species type, stem count, tree height, basal area, and wood volume. All of this was supplemented with location-specific productivity predictors, i.e., xy location and specifications pertaining to soil type, soil drainage (established through digital elevation modelling by way of the depth-to-water index DTW), and years since thinning (pre-commercial and commercial), and. The DTW index, as it emulates the elevation rise away from open water features such as streams, rivers and lakes, allowed the re-mapping of existing soil borders by topographic position and drainage association. Non-linear regression analysis revealed that plantation height, basal area and volume all increased with plantation age, as to be expected. Pre-commercial thinning in plantations <30 years old had a positive while the more recent commercial thinning still had the negative effect on standing wood volume and mean annual volume increment (MAI). White spruce MAI generally exceeded black spruce (MAI) by a factor of 1.25. Poor and excessive soil drainage reduced MAI. Best growth performances occurred on plantations established on well-drained calcareous soils. The best-fitted results so obtained allowed for generating black and white spruce MAI maps across the forest management area by ridge-to-valley soil and DTW location at 10 m resolution. These maps were subsequently used for site-by-site silvicultural evaluation and ranking purposes.
