Fe/N-based biomass porous carbon composite(Fe/N-p Carbon) was prepared by a facile high-temperature carbonization method from biomass,and the effect of Fe/N-p Carbon on the thermal decomposition of energetic molecular perovskite-based material DAP-4 was studied.Biomass porous carbonaceous materials was considered as the micro/nano support layers for in situ deposition of Fe/N precursors.Fe/Np Carbon was prepared simply by the high-temperature carbonization method.It was found that it showed the inherent catalysis properties for thermal decomposition of DAP-4.The heat release of DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon by DSC curves tested had increased slightly,compared from DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon-0.The decomposition temperature peak of DAP-4 at the presence of Fe/N-p Carbon had reduced by 79°C from384.4°C(pure DAP-4) to 305.4°C(DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon-3).The apparent activation energy of DAP-4thermal decomposition also had decreased by 29.1 j.mol.The possible catalytic decomposition mechanism of DAP-4 with Fe/N-p Carbon was proposed.

Research on bivalves is fast-growing,including genome-wide analyses and genome sequencing.Several characteristics qualify oysters as a valuable model to explore repetitive DNA sequences and their genome organization.Here we char-acterize the satellitomes of five species in the family Ostreidae(Crassostrea angulata,C.virginica,C.hongkongensis,C.ariakensis,Ostrea edulis),revealing a substantial number of satellite DNAs(satDNAs)per genome(ranging between 33 and 61)and peculiarities in the composition of their satellitomes.Numerous satDNAs were either associated to or derived from transposable elements,displaying a scarcity of transposable element-unrelated satDNAs in these genomes.Due to the non-conventional satellitome constitution and dominance of Helitron-associated satDNAs,comparative satellitomics demanded more in-depth analyses than standardly employed.Comparative analyses(including C.gigas,the first bivalve species with a defined satellitome)revealed that 13 satDNAs occur in all six oyster genomes,with Cg170/HindIII satDNA being the most abundant in all of them.Evaluating the“satDNA library model”highlighted the necessity to adj.st this term when studying tandem repeat evolution in organisms with such satellitomes.When repetitive sequences with potential variation in the organizational form and repeat-type affiliation are examined across related species,the introduction of the terms“TE library”and“repetitive DNA library”becomes essential.

Melt extrusion-based additive manufacturing(ME-AM)is a promising technique to fabricate porous scaffolds for tissue engi-neering applications.However,most synthetic semicrystalline polymers do not possess the intrinsic biological activity required to control cell fate.Grafting of biomolecules on polymeric surfaces of AM scaffolds enhances the bioactivity of a construct;however,there are limited strategies available to control the surface density.Here,we report a strategy to tune the surface density of bioactive groups by blending a low molecular weight poly(ε-caprolactone)5k(PCL5k)containing orthogonally reactive azide groups with an unfunctionalized high molecular weight PCL75k at different ratios.Stable porous three-dimensional(3D)scaf-folds were then fabricated using a high weight percentage(75 wt.%)of the low molecular weight PCL 5k.As a proof-of-concept test,we prepared films of three different mass ratios of low and high molecular weight polymers with a thermopress and reacted with an alkynated fluorescent model compound on the surface,yielding a density of 201-561 pmol/cm^(2).Subsequently,a bone morphogenetic protein 2(BMP-2)-derived peptide was grafted onto the films comprising different blend compositions,and the effect of peptide surface density on the osteogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stromal cells(hMSCs)was assessed.After two weeks of culturing in a basic medium,cells expressed higher levels of BMP receptor II(BMPRII)on films with the conj.gated peptide.In addition,we found that alkaline phosphatase activity was only significantly enhanced on films contain-ing the highest peptide density(i.e.,561 pmol/cm^(2)),indicating the importance of the surface density.Taken together,these results emphasize that the density of surface peptides on cell differentiation must be considered at the cell-material interface.Moreover,we have presented a viable strategy for ME-AM community that desires to tune the bulk and surface functionality via blending of(modified)polymers.Furthermore,the use of alkyne-a

Proximity effects between superconductors and ferromagnets(SC/FM)hold paramount importance in comprehending the spin competition transpiring at their interfaces.This competition arises from the interplay between Cooper pairs and ferromagnetic exchange interactions.The proximity effects between transition metal nitrides(TMNs)are scarcely investigated due to the formidable challenges of fabricating high-quality SC/FM interfaces.We fabricated heterostructures comprising SC titanium nitride(TiN)and FM iron nitride(Fe_(3)N)with precise chemical compositions and atomically well-defined interfaces.The magnetoresistance of Fe_(3)N/TiN heterostructures shows a distinct magnetic anisotropy and strongly depends on the external perturbations.Moreover,the superconducting transition temperatureT_(C) and critical field of TiN experience notable suppression when proximity to Fe_(3)N.We observe the intriguing competition of interfacial spin orientations near𝑇T_(C)(∼1.25 K).These findings not only add a new materials system for investigating the interplay between superconductor and ferromagnets,but also potentially provide a building block for future research endeavors and applications in the realms of superconducting spintronic devices.

A core assumption of sexual selection theory is that sexually selected weapons,specialized morphological structures used directly in male con-tests,can improve an individual's reproductive success but only if the bearer can overcome associated costs,the negative effects on the bear-er's fitness components.However,recent studies have shown that producing and wielding exaggerated weapons may not necessarily be costly.Rather,some traits can be selected for supporting,or compensating for,the expense of producing and wielding such exaggerated weapons.n the ant-mimicking j.mping spider Myrmarachne gisti,exaggerated chelicerae are borne only by adult males and not females,showing sexual dimorphism and steep positive allometry with body size.Here,we determine the potential benefits of bearing exaggerated chelicerae during male contests and explore the potential for costs in terms of prey-capture efficiency and compensation between chelicera size and neighboring trait size.While males with longer chelicerae won most of their male-male contests,we found no significant differences in prey-capture effi-ciency between males and females regardless of whether prey was winged or flightless.Males'elongated chelicerae thus do not impede their efficiency at capturing prey.Furthermore,we found that the sizes of all neighboring traits are positively correlated with chelicera size,suggesting that these traits may be under correlational selection.Taken together,our findings suggest that M.gisti males armed with the exaggerated chelicerae that function as weapons win more fights at limited cost for performance in prey capture and compensate for neighboring structures.

There has been a surge of research interest in the promising lead-free potassium-sodium niobate(KNN)-based ceramics,applications of which could be significantly promoted by improving thermal stability of piezoelectricity.Besides,endowing the KNN-based ceramics with photoluminescence property by rare-earth-ion doping can make them more completive lead-free counterparts in potential applications such as novel multifunctional sensing devices.Herein,a novel KNN-based ceramic material doped with Eu was elaborately designed to simultaneously obtain enhanced temperaturestable piezoelectricity and good luminescence property.By the introduction of diffused phase transition and the modulation of unit cell distortion,a large piezoelectric strain coefficient(d^(*)_(33))with a small variation(590±59 pm/V)over a wide temperature range(from room temperature to 110℃)was realized.The optimal composition also exhibited a considerable piezoelectric coefficient(d_(33))with small fluctuation(330±33 pC/N)from 20 to 80℃.In addition to the enhanced temperature-stable piezoelectricity,the luminescence of these ceramics was slightly enhanced with the elevation of BaZrO_(3)(BZ)doping contents,which could be attributed to the increased compositional disorder and the decreased unit cell distortion of the matrix material.Moreover,an optical characteristic was more prominent at ultra-low temperatures.This work unprecedentedly provides a novel paradigm for the design of multifunctional KNN-based ceramics with enhanced temperature-stable piezoelectricity and good luminescence property,revealing the great potential of the rare-earth-element-doped KNN material for future applications in the novel multifunctional devices.

为探究不同植被类型红树林海洋线虫群落特征的差异及原因,本研究于2020年11月,在海口东寨港红树林自然保护区选择5种植被类型的红树林,对各红树植被类型下沉积物海洋线虫群落结构及多样性进行研究。结果表明,本研究中所有采样点的海洋线虫总平均丰度为(31.3±14.6) ind./cm^(2),其中白骨壤林海洋线虫平均丰度最高((55.5±4.9) ind./cm^(2)),海莲和尖瓣海莲混交林的平均丰度最低((24.4±13.8) ind./cm^(2))。共鉴定海洋线虫24科54属74种,且不同红树植被类型下海洋线虫的群落结构存在差异。聚类分析和非度量多维度分析结果将海洋线虫群落划分为5组,基本代表了5种植被类型的沉积物中海洋线虫群落。同时,海洋线虫群落物种数S、丰富度指数d、均匀度指数j.香农维纳多样性指数H′和优势度指数D在不同植被类型群落间具有显著差异,具体表现如下:榄李、混交林和角果木林海洋线虫群落丰度低且多样性低,以海绕线虫属(Haliplectus)和微口线虫属(Terschellingia)为优势属,以有机碎屑为食的沉积食性海洋线虫为主,其中特化的选择性沉积食性者占比极高(>60%);白骨壤和红海榄林沉积物中的海洋线虫丰度高且多样性高,分别以裸口线虫属(Anoplostoma)、微口线虫属(Terschellingia)和拟齿线虫属(Parodontophora)为优势属;选择性沉积食性者占比低(er 6.0软件中的模块BIOENV进行生物与环境连接的逐步分析和相关检验的结果表明,沉积物分选系数和叶绿素a含量是解释研究区域线虫群落物种组成差异的最佳参数组合。同时,红树植被类型的差异同东寨港海洋线虫群落结构及多样性的变化具有密切关系。

基于滚动轴承多体动力学理论,以滚子经过滚道缺陷区域时产生的附加位移表征故障,建立轴承滚道缺陷动力学模型。考虑滚子进出缺陷区域时与滚道间接触载荷的变化,建立圆柱滚子轴承动力学微分方程组并求解,研究滚道缺陷时保持架振动响应规律。结果表明:与正常轴承相比,滚道缺陷会导致保持架与滚子间碰撞力增大且接触频率增加,同时保持架打滑率增大;随缺陷宽度增大,内滚道缺陷时保持架振动加速度级逐渐增加,外滚道缺陷时保持架振动加速度级先减小后增加,缺陷宽度大于1 mm后,内滚道缺陷时保持架的振动加速度级明显更大。

Diffusive gradients in thin films(DGT) probe for effectively sampling of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances in waters and sediments

The passive sampling technique, diffusive gradients in thin films(DGT) has attracted increasing interests as an in-situ sampler for organic contaminants including per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFAS). However, its effectiveness has been questioned because of the small effective sampling area(3.1 cm^(2)). In this study, we developed a DGT probe for rapid sampling of eight PFAS in waters and applied it to a water-sediment system. It has a much larger sampling area(27 cm^(2)) and as a result lower method quantification limits(0.15 –0.21 ng/L for one-day deployment and 0.02 – 0.03 ng/L for one-week deployment) and much higher(by > 10 factors) sampling rate(100 m L/day) compared to the standard DGT(piston configuration). The sampler could linearly accumulate PFAS from wastewater, was sensitive enough even for a 24 hr deployment with performance comparable to grab sampling(500m L). The DGT probe provided homogeneous sampling performance along the large exposure area. The use of the probe to investigate distributions of dissolved PFAS around the sediment-water interface was demonstrated. This work, for the first time, demonstrated that the DGT probe is a promising monitoring tool for trace levels of PFAS and a research tool for studying their distribution, migration, and fate in aquatic environments including the sediment-water interface.
