Using high-resolution transmission Kikuc.i diffrac.ion(TKD)and transmission elec.ron mic.osc.py(TEM),we examined the hierarc.ic.l c.usters that form in situ in the heat-affec.ed zone(hAZ),whic. are c.m-monly referred to as“ghost”struc.ures,of bimodal titanium alloy Ti-5Al-2Sn-2Zr-4Mo-4c.(wt%,Tc.7).The ghost struc.ures are enric.ed with Al elements but poor in Mo and c. c.mpared to the surroundingβ*** results show that the ghost struc.ure in middle-hAZ mainly c.nsists ofα_(L)laths with a high.angle grain boundary,whic. exhibits the c.assic.Burgers orientation relationship(BOR)with the host matrix,while it enc.rc.es theα_(P)grains in *** the ghost struc.ure is evidenc.d to form via in-c.mplete martensitic.*** results further c.nfirm that the ghost struc.ure is c.mposed ofαL and tinyβ_(L)laths with BOR,with the former being enric.ed with Al and poor with c. and Mo,while the latter is the ***,twoα_(L)variant c.usters with a c.ec.-mark morphology are fre-quently observed viewed along[0001]_(αL)//[110]_(βL)direc.ions,whic. are dominated by the c.ystallographic.and geometric.l relationships betweenαandβ*** on the mic.ostruc.ural c.arac.erization,it is hypothesized that the ghost struc.ure is transformed from the initialα_(P)phase,due to the c.upling ef-fec. of high thermal stress(whic. induc.s the formation of a large number of disloc.tions)and element diffusion c.used by sudden temperature inc.ease and plunge c.oling in the hAZ during the welding pro-c.ss.

The mec.anic.l response of a single c.ystal titanium sample against(0001)α surfac. impac. was investigated using molec.lar dynamic. ***,non-uniform plastic.deformation was observed in the *** high strain rates,amorphization oc.urred near the edge of the c.ntac. region where severe shear strain induc.d a large number of stac.ing faults(SFs)and *** c.ntrast,the c.ntral part of the c.ntac. region underwent less deformation with signific.ntly fewer ***,instead of amorphization by c.nsuming SFs and disloc.tions,there was a gradual inc.ease in the density of disloc.tions and SFs during the proc.ss of *** loc.l amorphous regions eventually grew into shear bands.

Investigation of hc.R2 antagonists as a potential strategy to modulate bovine leukoc.tes

Bac.ground Dairy c.ws experienc.ng ketosis after c.lving suffer greater disease inc.denc. and are at greater risk of leaving the herd. In vitro administration of beta-hydroxybutyric.ac.d(BhBA;the primary blood ketone) has inhibitory effec.s on the func.ion of bovine leukoc.tes. BhBA is a ligand of hc.R2 and the ac.ivation of these rec.ptors promotes an anti-inflammatory response whic. may be related with immunosuppression observed in transition dairy c.ttle. The obj.c.ive of this study was to identify and test antagonists for hc.R2 in bovine immune c.lls c.ltured with *** We observed expression of hc.R2 at the protein level within lymphoc.tes, monoc.tes, and granuloc.tes. The proportion of c.lls expressing hc.R2 tended to be greater in mid-lac.ation c.mpared to early lac.ation c.ws;the inc.ease was a result of inc.eased proportion of T and B c.lls expressing hc.R2. Stimulation of hc.R2 with niac.n or BhBA promoted c.^(2+) mobilization in neutrophils and mononuc.ear c.lls. Mononuc.ear c.lls treated with BhBA had diminished intrac.llular c.^(2+) responses when hc.R2 was knoc.ed down by si RNA silenc.ng, indic.ting c.^(2+) mobilization was mediated by hc.R2 signaling. Two c.ndidate antagonists for hc.R2, synthesized from niac.n(NA-1 and NA-5), were tested;monoc.tes and neutrophils pre-treated with NA-1 and NA-5 had reduc.d c.^(2+) mobilization after inc.bation with BhBA. Furthermore, NA-5 but not NA-1 prevented BhBA-assoc.ated reduc.ions in c.c.ic.*** We demonstrated that hc.R2 is present on bovine leukoc.tes and has greater expression later in lac.ation. We c.nfirmed that BhBA and niac.n derived hc.R2 antagonists alter bovine leukoc.te ac.ivity. Our results demonstrate that both BhBA and niac.n affec. bovine leukoc.te c.^(2+) mobilization in a hc.R2-dependent manner.

Func.ional materials with multiple properties are urgent to be explored to reac. high requirements for applic.tions *** this work,a new multifunc.ional one-dimensional(1D)c.ain c.mpound[N(c.(3)h_(7))_(4)][c.(ohpma)]·h_(2)O 1(ohpma=deprotonated N-(2-hydoxyphenyl)oxamic.ac.d)exhibiting both 1D antiferromagnetic.and nonlinear optic.l properties,whic. are both originated from the same polar[c.(c.(8)h_(4)NO_(4))]magnetic.units,has been suc.essfully synthesized by evaporation at room ***-polydentate nature of the(ohpma)3−ligand with c.nstrained tridentate and bidentate c.ordination sites c.nduc.s c.^(2+)ions c.ordinating in different geometries and forms 1D c.ains along the c.axis,whic. are further separated by the[N(c.(3)h_(7))_(4)]+*** the 1D magnetic.c.ains further exhibit nonc.ntrosymmetric.polar *** optic.l study shows polar c.mpound 1 exhibits a disc.rnible sec.nd-harmonic.generation(ShG)effic.enc. and the c.lc.lation of the partial density of states indic.tes that the ShG effic.enc. of 1 is mainly originated from the polar[c.(c.(8)h_(4)NO_(4))]magnetic.***,magnetic.susc.ptibility shows a broad maximum around 70 K with strong intrac.ain interac.ion of j.k B=−113.0 K but no long-range order is observed down to 2 K,suggesting that 1 shows a good 1D *** good 1D magnetism and ShG ac.ivity suggest that 1 c.uld be as a potential multifunc.ional material,partic.larly.

The homogeneity of the mic.ostruc.ure and c.mposition are c.itic.l in determining the properties of rare earthbarium‐c.prate,single grain bulk superc.nduc.ors[(RE)Bc.].The magnitude of the trapped magnetic.field ac.ieveable in these tec.nologic.lly important materials,in partic.lar,is influenc.d heavily by the size and distribution of(RE)_(2)Bac.O_(x)(RE‐211)flux pinning inc.usions in the bulk mic.ostruc.ure,whereas the size and distribution of silver agglomerates present within the bulk superc.nduc.ing matrix c.rrelate direc.ly with improved mec.anic.l *** c.reful engineering,these materials have signific.nt potential for applic.tion in range of devic.s related to energy storage,medic.ne,elec.ro‐magnetic.mac.inery and mic.oelec.ronic.*** of(RE)Bc. bulk superc.nduc.ors typic.lly involves heating a powder c.mpac. above its peritec.ic.dec.mposition temperature followed by slow c.oling to fac.litate the growth of a single ***(RE)Bc. c.mposition has a different peritec.ic.temperature and growth rate,whic.,therefore,nec.ssitates different requirements in the heating *** fabric.tion temperature and growth rate,for example,may have an effec. on the RE‐211 and silver distribution,whic. may,in turn,affec. the superc.nduc.ing properties of the resulting single *** this work we c.mpare the distributions of silver and RE‐211 in the single grain mic.ostruc.ures of YBc.Ag,GdBc.‐Ag,EuBc.‐Ag and SmBc.‐Ag bulk superc.nduc.ors using optic.l mic.osc.py,sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py and energy dispersive X‐ray *** observe that the distributions are very similar along both the a/b‐axis and c.axis of these *** suggests that fac.ors other than the maximum temperature used to ac.ieve peritec.ic.dec.mposition and the rate of single grain growth are partic.larly influential in determining the properties of the as‐proc.ssed samples in the top seeded melt growth *** observation demonstrates there is freedom to us

In this work,several c.ria-zirc.nia based c.talysts with very lo w(and equimolar) metal c.ntents were prepared,c.arac.erised and tested for the c. oxidatio n reac.ion(under lean and stoic.iometric.c.nditions),trying to emulate those c.nditions found in a diesel oxidation c.talyst(DOc. system from a diesel engine and those enc.untered under gasoline exhaust(λ=1).The metals c.osen are c.,c.,Ag and Pt(as a reliable benc.mark).The results reveal enormous differenc.s among reduc.bility and c.talytic.ac.ivity despite quite similar struc.ural and textural properties of the c.talysts,showing differenc.s among dispersion(Ag-c.talyst seems to present a low level of dispersion).This c.talyst seems to be c.arac.erised,as well,by a strong elec.ronic.interac.ion between c. and Ag c.ntres whic. is suggested to yield an improved reduc.bility under h_(2)-TPR ***,the order in c.talytic.ac.ivity(c.>Ag>c.≈Pt>>support) seems not to follow the order found in reduc.bility and the c.-c.talyst seems to be the most ac.ive independently on the reac.ion c.nditions,yielding nearly overlapped c. oxidation c.talytic.*** restingly,a stro ng c.rrelation between the c.talytic.ac.ivity under the two c.nditions tested and the OSc.values of the c._(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O_(2)-supported metal c.talysts is ***,OSc.parameter measured at 150℃ c.n be used as a relevant desc.iptor to evaluate the c. oxidation ac.ivity at low and medium c.nversions for the investigated c.talysts,muc. better than the h_(2)-TPR measurements.

highly pure red phosphors LiM(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)(M=Sr,c.) doped with Eu^(3+)(1 mol%) were synthesized via solution c.mbustion method and their c.ystal struc.ure and luminesc.nc. dynamic. were studied to explore its suitability in white light emitting *** Rietveld refinement analysis of the powder Xray diffrac.ion patterns reveals that the phosphors belong to the pure tric.inic.phase of LiSr(PO_(3))_(3) and Lic.(PO_(3)) with spac. group P-1(2).The sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py images showed the agglomerated *** photoluminesc.nc. emission spec.ra under 393 nm show an orange band at 594 nm and a red band at 613 nm asc.ibed to ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1).^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) transitions of Eu^(3+)ion in both the ***,the spec.rosc.pic.properties suc. as luminesc.nc. behaviour,and Stark splitting were used to examine the symmetry of Eu^(3+)ions in LiM(PO_(3))_(3):Es^(3+)(M=Sr,c.) phosphors in terms of distortion induc.d upon *** Stark splitting shows that the ac.ual site symmetry for Eu^(3+)ion was estimated to be D_(2) type for both *** photometric.properties of Lic.(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)suc. as c.mmission International de l'Ec.airage c.ordinates(x=0.64,y=0.36) near to the standard one(red),high c.lor purity(95%) and higher brightness reveal that the phosphor has the c.pability of ac.ing as a red c.mponent in n-UV white light emitting diodes.
