Understanding postmineralization tectonic movements in porphyry deposits,is critical to interpreting the complete thermal-tectonic *** study reports new zircon U-Pb ages,hydrothermal biotiteAr/Ar age,and zircon and apatite(U-Th)/He ages from the Baogutu porphyry copper deposit,which,in conj.nction with pre-existing geochronology and thermochronology and inverse modeling simulations,constrain the thermal-tectonic history of the *** LA-ICP-MS U-Pb concordia ages indicate a Late Carboniferous age of 320.1 ± 2.2 Ma for the diorite complex and 309.8 ± 2.2 Ma for the mineralized granodiorite *** biotite selected from a quartz-biotite-chalcopyrite vein yields a plateau age of 311.0 ± 1.8 Ma which agrees with the age of the granodiorite porphyry and a previously reported molybdenite Re-Os age,and suggests that hydrothermal fluid circulated about310 *** and granodiorite porphyry yield weighted mean zircon(U-Th)/He ages of200.6±5.7Ma and 241.1 ±8.1 Ma,respectively,with ages ranging from 221.0 Ma to 174.3 Ma and225.9 to 261.6 *** mean diorite and granodiorite porphyry apatite(U-Th)/He ages of87.4 ± 2.3 Ma and 120.0 ± 4.2 Ma were obtained with ages ranging from 68.9 Ma to 100.8 Ma,and from91.0 Ma to 152.0 Ma,*** wide range of zircon(U-Th)/He ages may be due to the combined effects of U and Th zonation and radiation damage,and radiation damage effect may also account for the wide range of apatite(U-Th)/He *** combined effects of depth and cooling due to meteoric water circulation contribute to an older(U-Th)/He age for the granodiorite porphyry,relative to the diorite.A five-episode cooling rate history for the diorite can be deduced by inverse model simulation:fast cooling—moderate fast cooling—relatively slow cooling—fast cooling again—very slow *** thermal and tectonic history of the wall rock indicates that it suffered significant far-field effects from the Qiangtang-Eurasia and Lhasa-Qiangta

We have developed a conceptual design of a 15-TW pulsed-power accelerator based on the linear-transformer-driver(LTD)architecture described by Stygar[*** et al.,*** *** 18,110401(2015)].The driver will allow multiple,high-energy-density experiments per day in a university environment and,at the same time,will enable both fundamental and integrated experiments that are scalable to larger *** this design,many individual energy storage units(bricks),each composed of two capacitors and one switch,directly drive the target load without additional pulse *** LTD modules in parallel drive the *** module consists of 16 LTD cavities connected in series,where each cavity is powered by 22 bricks connected in *** design stores up to 2.75 Mj.and delivers up to 15 TW in 100 ns to the constant-impedance,water-insulated radial transmission *** transmission lines in turn deliver a peak current as high as 12.5 MA to the physics *** maximize its experimental value and flexibility,the accelerator is coupled to a modern,multibeam laser facility(four beams with up to 5 kj.in 10 ns and one beam with up to 2.6 kj.in 100 ps or less)that can provide auxiliary heating of the physics *** lasers also enable advanced diagnostic techniques such as X-ray Thomson scattering and multiframe and three-dimensional *** coupled accelerator-laser facility will be the first of its kind and be capable of conducting unprecedented high-energy-densityephysics experiments.

The timing of the transition of a peripheral foreland basin from underfilled to overfilled provides important insights into the post-orogenic dynamics of its coupled orogenic *** information is lacking in the Mesozoic foreland basins surrounding the Qinling Orogen,central China,such as the Daba Shan Foreland Basin(DSFB),the northeastern part of the Sichuan *** an effort to constrain the timing of maximum burial and onset of denudation,we report detrital zircon(U-Th)/He(ZHe) data from four deep boreholes in the *** show that ZHe ages from the oldest foreland basin formations(Upper Triassic-lower Middle j.rassic) are mostly younger than their depositional age,whereas non-reset ZHe ages characterize younger *** suggests that the oldest strata attained maximum temperatures between -130℃and 200℃(ZHe partial retention zone),which is consistent with previous independent paleotemperatures (organic matter reflectance and illite crystallinity) reported in two of the boreholes and another nearby. The fully reset ages apparently show the youngest peaks at -80 Ma and -100 Ma,which are interpreted as the minimum constraints on the timing of maximum basinal burial and subsequent *** that the regional deposition has lasted to Aptian time,it is proposed that the onset of the basin exhumation in the DSFB started at Aptian-Albian time(～100-125 Ma),heralding the termination of regional tectonic shortening in the hinterland(Southern Qinling).

The Dexing porphyry copper and Yinshan polymetallic deposits in Dexing City,southeastern China arc both giant porphyry ore *** 15 km apart,they formed synchronously and share a similar magma source and mctallogenic evolution,but their metal endowment,dominant rock types,and alteration assemblages differ *** this contribution,we investigate the cause of these distinctions through new molybdenite Re-Os ages and zircon and apatite(U-Th)/Hc thermochronology *** has a molybdenite Re-Os age of-170.3 Ma,zircon(U-Th)/He(ZHe) ages of 110 to 120 Ma and apatite(U-Th)/He(AHe) ages of 7 to9 *** contrast,Yinshan has older ZHe ages of 128 to140 Ma and an AHe age of-30 *** in combination with previously published data,we conclude that the apparently slow cooling experienced by these bodies is primarily a reflection of their experiencing multiple episodes of thermal *** tentatively infer that both deposits were exposed in the Late Miocene or more recent time,with the Dexing deposit more deeply exhumed than *** study has exploration implications for deeper porphyry-style ores at Yinshan and for porphyry deposits in non-arc(intraplate) settings in general.

The large,newly discovered Sharang porphyry Mo deposit and nearby Yaguila skarn Pb–Zn–Ag(–Mo) deposit reside in the central Lhasa terrane,northern Gangdese metallogenic belt,*** mineral chronometers(zircon U–Pb,sericiteAr–Ar,and zircon and apatite(U–Th)/He) reveal that ore-forming porphyritic intrusions experienced rapid cooling(N 100 °C/Ma) during a monotonic magmatic–hydrothermal *** magmatic–hydrothermal ore-forming event at Sharang lasted .0 Myr(.8 Myr for cooling from N 900 to 350 °C and .0 Myr for cooling from 350 to 200 °C) whereas cooling was more prolonged during ore formation at Yaguila(.8 Myr from N 900 to500 °C and a maximum of 6 Myr from N 900 to 350 °C).All porphyritic intrusions in the ore district experienced exhumation at a rate of 0.07–0.09 mm/yr(apatite He ages between 7 and 30 Ma).Combined with previous studies,this work implies that uplift of the eastern section of the Lhasa terrane expanded from central Lhasa(37–30 Ma)to southern Lhasa(15–12 Ma) at an increasing exhumation *** available geochronologic data reveal that magmatic–hydrothermal–exhumation activities in the Sharang–Yaguila ore district occurred within four periods of magmatism with related *** porphyry-type Mo mineralization was associated with Late Cretaceous–Eocene felsic porphyritic intrusions in the central Lhasa terrane,resulting from Neotethyan oceanic subduction and India–Asia continental collision.

Interventional Radiology Procedures after Pediatric Pyeloplasty and Ureteral Reimplantation in Patients with Postoperative Obstruction

Introduction: Obstructive complication after pyeloplasty or ureteral reimplant surgery is a rare though worrisome problem in pediatric urology. These are often complex patients with complicated post-operative courses that at times require interventional radiology procedures. The current literature is lacking in guiding principles to manage these complications. In this study we have reviewed these difficult to manage patients at our children’s hospital over the past 15 years. Methods: A list of patients who underwent interventional radiology procedures to place nephrostomy tubes or internal double-j.ureteral stents was compared a list of patients undergoing pyeloplasty or reimplant procedures. These lists were cross-referenced to a list of patients undergoing cystoscopic removal of double-j.stents. This small patient group does not represent all complications but those with radiology intervention. Results: At our institution, during the years 1998-2011 we performed 458 pyeloplasties and 3003 open ureteral reimplant procedures. 14 (0.4%) met all of the inclusion criteria. The long term outcome of these problems showed 11 of these patients went on to stability or improvement with either percutaneous drainage or j. stent placement alone, and three of the reimplant patients ultimately required redo surgery. Of our pyeloplasty patients only three required percutaneous nephrostomy tube, and one went on to j. stent placement (0.66% of pyeloplasties). No patients in the pyeloplasty group needed surgical revision. Of patients how had undergone ureteral reimplantation, with or without tapering, seven of them underwent interventional radiology procedures (0.23% of reimplant patients). Conclusion: Pediatric urology patients with persistent obstruction after pyeloplasties and ureteral reimplantation surgery with or without tapering who needed interventional radiology rescue procedure resolved or stabilized in 11 of 14 patients. Obj.ctive:To better evaluate tertiary Gleason pattern reporting and to evaluate the impact of tertiary Gleason pattern 5(TP5)on prostate cancer pathological features and biochemical recurrence at our large single ***:We retrospectively reviewed 1962 patients who underwent radical prostatectomy(RP)for prostate cancer;TP5 was reported in 159 cases(8.1%).Men with Gleason score(GS)7 and GS 8 disease were divided into subgroups with and without TP5,and histopathological features were *** analyses were conducted to assess the impact on TP5 on biochemical-free survival(BFS).Results:Tumors possessing GS 3+4 with TP5 were more likely to exhibit extraprostatic extension(EPE)and had a larger tumor diameter(TD)than GS 3+4 *** 3+4 with TP5 was also associated with positive surgical margins(SM),seminal vesicle involvement(SVI),and higher pre-operative prostate-specific antigen(PSA)values,but without statistical *** 4+3 with TP5 more commonly presented with EPE,positive SM,SVI,and greater TD and pre-operative PSA level than GS 4+3 *** multivariate analysis,Gleason score,EPE,and TP5 were overall independent risk factors for PSA recurrence in this ***,GS 4+3 with TP5 was associated with shorter time to recurrence versus GS 4+3 ***:Our results emphasize the importance of TP5 and suggest that criteria for tertiary pattern reporting in prostate cancer should be *** studies are needed to evaluate the role of tertiary patterns in prognostic models.

背景：目前，对于治疗疑似全髋或全膝关节置换术后假体周围感染的抗生素使用原则还没有共识。本研究旨在建立这样一个用药原则。方法：对146例患者进行回顾性研究。在这些患者进行全髋或全膝关节置换术后的翻修术时，共194个标本得到了细菌培养阳性结果。患者的一般信息、并存疾病情况、细菌种类、抗生素敏感性资料以及翻修术后细菌培养出现阳性结果所需要的天数均被记录。结果：共110髋、84膝得到的标本培养结果为阳性。其中70％为慢性感染，17％为急性术后局部感染，13％为急性血源性感染。翻修术后出现阳性培养结果的平均时间为3天。革兰氏阳性菌感染占绝大多数。在这些细菌中，88％对庆大霉素敏感，96％对万古霉素敏感，61％对头孢唑林敏感。多数的耐药菌来自于先前有过抗生素治疗失败史的患者。术后急性感染的菌株比慢性感染或血源性感染的菌株更易发生耐药。血源性感染患者分离得到的菌株对庆大霉素和头孢唑林都有高度的敏感性。结论：对疑似假体周围感染的经验性抗生素用药应该在对感染进行分类和确定革兰氏染色结果的指导下进行。我们认为，在得到培养结果之前，急性血源性感染应该一开始就使用头孢唑林和庆大霉素的联合治疗。所有术后慢性或急性革兰氏阳性菌感染或不能明确革兰氏染色结果的细菌感染都应该用万古霉素。革兰氏阴性菌感染应该用第三代或第四代头孢霉素。革兰氏阳性菌和阴性菌的混合感染应该联合使用万古霉素和第三代或第四代头孢霉素。另外，我们认为如果在术后第4天还没有得到细菌培养或是其他确诊的阳性结果就应该结束经验性抗生素治疗。可信水平：诊断性研究，Ⅳ级。进一步可信度参见作者介绍。

[背景]环境空气污染可能对儿童具有神经毒性作用。但目前尚缺乏交通源空气污染与注意力之间相关性的研究数据。[目的]在一项位于马萨诸塞州波士顿地区的出生队列研究中，研究黑碳（BC，一种交通颗粒标志物）与174名7-14岁儿童注意力测量结果之间的相关性。[方法]根据儿童生活的住所，采用经验证的空间时间土地利用回归模型估计BC水平。采用Conners连续作业测试（CPT）测量儿童的遗漏错误、执行错误和命中反应时间（HRT），分数越高表示错误越多或反应时间越长。使用多变量调整线性回归分析检测BC与各注意力结果之间相关性。[结果]队列中的儿童主要为西班牙裔（56％）和高加索裔（41％），53％为男童。以儿童的智商（IQ）、年龄、性别、血铅水平、母亲的教育程度、产前和产后烟草烟雾暴露以及社区水平的社会压力进行调整后发现，较高水平BC与执行错误增加及HRT较长之间存在正相关。值得注意的是，相对于中间的两个四分位数范围，在最高BC四分位数范围中这一相关性较弱，尽管仍是正性的。性别分层分析显示，在男童中BC-9执行错误和HRT两者均呈统计学显著相关，但在女童中BC与任何CPT结果均无显著相关性。[结论]在这一城市儿童人群中，BC暴露与更多的过失错误和较长的反应时间之间存在相关性。总体而言，这些相关性在男童中比女童中更为显著。
