Background:The assessment and management of misophonia need a team approach,and audiologists are essential team ***,the role of an audiologist in this condition is not well understood,and there is a lack of awareness even among professionals about their role in the assessment and management of ***:The main aim of our study is to document the present level of awareness and knowledge about misophonia assessment and management among audiologists in ***:A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out among audiologists from all over *** statistical procedures were measured based on the type of questions being addressed,and a non-parametric chi-square test was done to see the association among ***:The results show a lack of knowledge about misophonia even among audiologists,as only 15.3%of the audiologist reported being confident in handling cases with ***:Although the exact assessment and management of misophonia is still the topic of debate,it is clear that audiologists are the team's key ***,the results clearly show a lack of confidence in handling cases of misophonia among audiologists in *** result shows the future need for Research in misophonia from an audiological perspective.

Purpose:Misophonia is not investigated much from an audiological *** study aims to examine the processing of the auditory retro-cochlear pathways in individuals with ***:A cross-sectional study was conducted among university students who had *** revised Amsterdam Misophonia Scale was used to determine the severity of *** were divided into mild and moderate-severe misophonia and compared with the healthy control *** Brainstem Response testing was recorded from all the individuals with *** absolute latency,amplitude,inter-peak latency difference,and inter-rate latency difference were compared between the ***:One-way ANOVA result showed no significant difference in all the parameters of auditory brainstem response between the *** results are suggestive of normal brainstem processing in individuals with ***:The study concludes that the auditory pathway up to brainstem areas is intact in individuals with *** studies are essential on a larger population for generalizing the results.

A semi-flexible binder-free graphitic carbon nitride(g-CN) intercalated polypyrrole(PPy) nanocomposite thin film was prepared via hybrid electrospray technique. A homogeneous thin film was achieved by the controlled spray process. A deposited thin film illustrated the amorphous nature of composite with high surface purity and good chemical composition. The surface analysis confirmed the smoother surface with well-defined distinct phases of g-CNand PPy matrix in the composite thin film. The electrochemical studies exhibited that a maximum areal capacity of the thin film was achieved to be 289.6 mF/cm~2 at a current density of 0.4 mA/cm~2,which is higher than that of pristine PPy(194.8 mF/cm~2). The heterostructure electrode illustrated that the life cycles of 99% could be up to 10,000 cycles with low resistance due to the synergetic effect of g-CNand PPy matrix with strong material adhesion(hybrid spray process) on the surface. A binder-free heterostructure thin film will play a significant role in the energy storage application.

Introduction:Hypersensitivity to sound and tinnitus are often co-morbid and can influence emotional well-being,hearing,sleep,concentration,cause anxiety,and interfere with speech perception in ***:A clear measure of sensitivity to sound is important as there is dearth in standard protocol for evaluating hyperacusis in individuals with *** there are a few questionnaires to assess hyperacusis,a direct application of these questionnaires in the Indian context would be ***:The study attempts to develop and validate an indigenous Hyperacusis Handicap Questionnaire(HHQ)for individuals with tinnitus associated with ***:A total of 25 questions were considered for ***,21 questions were subdivided into three sections of seven questions each,tapping,‘Functional,’‘Social,’and‘Emotional’aspects of the *** was administered on 77 individuals with tinnitus associated with hyperacusis in the age range of 20e55 years for further validation.A total score was obtained by adding all the three ***:The internal consistency of the questionnaire was determined by Cronbach’s Alpha(a)was a?0.85;and,a?0.83 for Functional,a?0.81 for Social,a?0.7 for Emotional subscales suggesting that the questionnaire can be used for the assessment of handicap associated with hyperacusis in individuals with ***,no significant difference in terms of gender and duration of tinnitus comparisons were ***:The obtained results suggest that HHQ will aid in the characterization and quantification of the handicap associated with hyperacusis in individuals with tinnitus.

Diabetics is one of the world’s most common diseases which are caused by continued high levels of blood *** risk of diabetics can be lowered if the diabetic is found at the early *** recent days,several machine learning models were developed to predict the diabetic presence at an early *** this paper,we propose an embedded-based machine learning model that combines the split-vote method and instance duplication to leverage an imbalanced dataset called PIMA Indian to increase the prediction of *** proposed method uses both the concept of over-sampling and under-sampling along with model weighting to increase the performance of *** measures such as Accuracy,Precision,Recall,and F1-Score are used to evaluate the *** results we obtained using K-Nearest Neighbor(kNN),Naïve Bayes(NB),Support Vector Machines(SVM),Random Forest(RF),Logistic Regression(LR),and Decision Trees(DT)were 89.32%,91.44%,95.78%,89.3%,81.76%,and 80.38%*** SVM model is more efficient than other models which are 21.38%more than exiting machine learning-based works.

Anti-diabetic activity of quercetin extracted from Phyllanthus emblica ***: In silico and in vivo approaches

In this study, molecular interactions of the ligands, quercetin, gallic acid, and metformin with various diabetes mellitus-related protein targets, such as glycogen phosphorylase and peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptor gamma, were assessed. It was revealed that quercetin possesses good binding affinity to both targets. Quercetin is a major constituent of methanolic extracts of Phyllanthus emblica fruit. The antihyperglycemic effect of quercetin in streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic rats was examined. The isolated quercetin administered at a dose of 75 mg/kg body weight produced a maximum decrease of14.78% in blood glucose levels in the diabetic rats after 7 days of treatment. Furthermore, quercetin doses of 50 and 75 mg/kg were shown to significantly improve the profiles of triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein, very-low-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, and total cholesterol at the end of the study in STZ-induced diabetic rats. The administration of quercetin(25, 50, and 75 mg/kg body weight)daily for 28 days in STZ-induced diabetic rats resulted in a significant decrease in blood glucose and urine sugar levels, with a considerable rise in plasma insulin and hemoglobin levels. Therefore, quercetin is a potential drug with antidiabetic and antihyperglycemic action mediated by changes in the levels of glucose, cholesterol, and triglycerides as indicated by in silico and in vivo studies.
