Petroleum contamination is considered as a major risk to the health of humans and *** as low-cost and eco-friendly carbon materials,have been widely used for the removal of petroleum hydrocarbon in the *** purpose of this paper is to review the performance,mechanisms,and potential environmental toxicity of biochar,modified biochar and its integration use with other materials in petroleum contaminated soil and ***,the use of biochar in oil-contaminated water and soil as well as the factors that could influence the removal ability of biochar were systematically *** addition,the modification and integrated use of biochar for improving the removal efficiency were summarized from the aspects of sorption,biodegradation,chemical degradation,and ***,the functional impacts and associated ecotoxicity of pristine and modified biochars in various environments were ***,some shortcoming of current approaches,and future research needs were provided for the future direction and challenges of modified biochar ***,this paper gain insight into biochar application in petroleum remediation from the perspectives of performance enhancement and environmental sustainability.

The development of perovskite photoelectric devices with excellent performance is largely dependent on the defects in the perovskite *** address this issue,a specific drug,leflunomide(LF,C_(12)H_(9)F_(3)N_(2)O_(2)),was incorporated into the perovskite to reduce defects and improve its photoelectric *** is believed that the C=O bond on LF molecule can interact with the uncoordinated Pb2+of the perovskite,thereby reducing non-radiative *** novel approach of incorporating LF into perovskite films has the potential to revolutionize the development of high-performance perovskite photoelectric *** trifluoromethyl functional(–CF_(3))group on LF can form a protective layer on the surface of the perovskite film,shielding it from water ***,LF can be utilized to alter the nucleation position of perovskite,thus minimizing the number of defects and optimizing the film ***,the LF-doped perovskite film displays low trap density and high photoelectric *** LF-doped perovskite film showed a trap density of 8.28×10^(11),which is notably lower than the 2.04×10^(12) of the perovskite film without *** responsivity and detectivity of the LF-doped perovskite photodetector were 0.771 A/W and 2.81×10^(11) jones,respectively,which are much higher than the 0.23 A/W and 1.06×10^(10) jones of the LF-undoped perovskite ***,the LF-doped photodetector maintained an initial photocurrent of 86%after 30 days of storage in air,indicating drastically increased environmental *** strongly suggests that LF is an effective additive for perovskites utilized in optoelectronic devices with high performance.

Field-effect transistors are essential components of modern ***,the continued scaling of electronic and optoelectronic devices is bringing silicon-based technologies close to their physical limits,causing issues such as short-channel effects[1].Two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors provide an attractive solution for transistors to extend Moore’s law because of their ultrathin thickness and immunity to short-channel effects[2].To fulfill the potential of 2D semiconductors,gate dielectrics need to be simultaneously engineered to build future 2D-material-based *** insulators with high dielectric constants(j)exhibit lower equivalent oxide thickness,which can ensure efficient gate control over channels and low gate leakage[3].Therefore,tremendous efforts have been made in searching for novel high-j dielectrics.

Porous Si3N4 was brazed to Invar alloy in this study, and Ag-Cu-Ti/Cu/Ag-Cu multi-layered filler was designed to inhibit the formation of Fe2Ti and Ni3Ti intermetallic compounds. The effects of the brazing temperature and the thickness of Cu interlayer on the microstructure and mechanical properties of brazed joints were investigated. The typical microstructure of the joint brazed with multi-layered filler was porous Si3N4/TiN ＋ Ti5Si3/Ag-Cu eutectic[Cu[Ag-Cu eutectic/Cu-rich layer ＋ diffusion layer/Invar. When the brazing temperature increased, the reaction layer at the ceramic/filler interface grew thicker and the Cu interlayer turned thinner. As the thickness of Cu interlayer increased from 50 to 150 μm, the joint strength first increased and then decreased. In this research, the maximum shear strength （73 MPa） was obtained when being brazed at 1173 K with a 100 μm Cu interlayer applied in the filler, which was 55% higher than that brazed with single Ag-Cu-Ti brazing alloy and had reached 86% of the ceramic. The release of residual stress and the barrier effect of Cu interlayer to inhibit the formation of Fe2Ti and Ni3Ti intermetallics played the major role in the improvement of joint strength.

Plants require a number of essential elements in different proportions for ensuring their growth and *** elemental concentrations in leaves reflect the functions and adaptations of plants under specific environmental ***,less is known about how the spectrum of leaf elements associated with resource acquisition,photosynthesis and growth regulates forest biomass along broad elevational *** examined the influence of leaf element distribution and diversity on forest biomass by analyzing ten elements(C,N,P,K,Ca,Mg,Zn,Fe,Cu,and Mn)in tree communities situated every 100 meters along an extensive elevation gradient,ranging from the tropical forest(80 meters above sea level)to the alpine treeline(4200 meters above sea level)in the Kangchenjunga Landscape in eastern Nepal *** calculated communityweighted averages(reflecting dominant traits governing biomass,i.e.,mass-ratio effect)and functional divergence(reflecting increased trait variety,i.e.,complementarity effect)for leaf elements in a total of 1,859 trees representing 116 *** increasing mass-ratio effect and decreasing complementarity in leaf elements enhance forest biomass accumulation.A combination of elements together with elevation explains biomass(52.2%of the variance)better than individual elemental trait diversity(0.05%to 21%of the variance).Elevation modulates trait diversity among plant species in biomass *** promotes biomass at lower elevations,but reduces biomass at higher elevations,demonstrating an interaction between elevation and *** interaction between elevation and mass-ratio effect produces heterogeneous effects on biomass along the elevation *** research indicates that biomass accumulation can be disproportionately affected by elevation due to interactions among trait diversities across vegetation *** higher trait variation enhances the adaptation of species to environmental changes,it reduces

Sequential Latin hypercube designs(SLHDs) have recently received great attention for computer experiments, with much of the research restricted to invariant spaces. The related systematic construction methods are inflexible, and algorithmic methods are ineffective for large designs. For designs in contracting spaces, systematic construction methods have not been investigated yet. This paper proposes a new method for constructing SLHDs via good lattice point sets in various experimental spaces. These designs are called sequential good lattice point(SGLP) sets. Moreover, we provide efficient approaches for identifying the(nearly)optimal SGLP sets under a given criterion. Combining the linear level permutation technique, we obtain a class of asymptotically optimal SLHDs in invariant spaces, where the L1-distance in each stage is either optimal or asymptotically optimal. Numerical results demonstrate that the SGLP set has a better space-filling property than the existing SLHDs in invariant spaces. It is also shown that SGLP sets have less computational complexity and more adaptability.

An M6.5 earthquake occurred on August 3rd, 2014 in Ludian of Yunnan Province in China, causing severe casualty and economic loss. Local broadband waveform inversion with the CAP method demonstrates that the earthquake is a strike-slip event, with the strike along 70° and 160° for the two nodal planes respectively. However, the geological structure in the epicentral region is complicated with abundant active faults, and it is challenging to identify the seismogenic fault with the focal plane solutions due to nodal-plane ambiguity. We resolved the rupture directivity by measuring the difference between centroid location and hypocenter of the Ludian earthquake with the time shift from CAP inversion, and found that the nodal plane with the strike of 160° is the ruptured fault plane. Moreover, the rupture is found to propagate from northwest to southeast.
