Promoted surface charge density from interlayer Zn–N_(4) configuration in carbon nitride for enhanced CO_(2) photoreduction

The solar-driven reduction of CO_(2) into valuable products is a promising method to alleviate global environmental problems and energy ***,the low surface charge density limits the photocatalytic conversion performance of CO_(2).herein,a polymeric carbon nitride(PCN)photocatalyst with Zn single atoms(Zn1/CN)was designed and synthesized for CO_(2) *** results of the CO_(2) photoreduction studies show that the CO and Ch_(4) yields of Zn1/CN increased fivefold,reaching 76.9 and 22.9μmol/(g·h),respectively,in contrast to the unmodified ***+plasma-etched X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and synchrotron radiation-based X-ray absorption fine structure results reveal that Zn single atom is mainly present in the interlayer space of PCN in the Zn–N_(4) *** characterizations indicate that the interlayer Zn–N_(4) configuration can amplify light absorption and establish an interlayer charge transfer ***-assisted Kelvin probe force microscopy confirms that more photogenerated electrons are delivered to the catalyst surface through interlayer Zn–N_(4) configuration,which increases its surface charge ***,in-situ infrared spectroscopy combined with density functional theory calculation reveals that promoted surface charge density accelerates key intermediates(*COOh)conversion,thus achieving efficient CO_(2) *** work elucidates the role of internal single atoms in catalytic surface reactions,which provides important implications for the design of single-atom catalysts.

Fault Estimation for a Class of Markov jump Piecewise-Affine Systems: Current Feedback Based Iterative Learning Approach

In this paper, the issues of stochastic stability analysis and fault estimation are investigated for a class of continuoustime Markov jump piecewise-affine(PWA) systems against actuator and sensor faults. Firstly, a novel mode-dependent PWA iterative learning observer with current feedback is designed to estimate the system states and faults, simultaneously, which contains both the previous iteration information and the current feedback mechanism. The auxiliary feedback channel optimizes the response speed of the observer, therefore the estimation error would converge to zero rapidly. Then, sufficient conditions for stochastic stability with guaranteed performance are demonstrated for the estimation error system, and the equivalence relations between the system information and the estimated information can be established via iterative accumulating ***, two illustrative examples containing a class of tunnel diode circuit systems are presented to fully demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed iterative learning observer with current feedback.

Demand-Responsive Transportation Vehicle Routing Optimization Based on Two-Stage Method

Demand-responsive transportation (DRT) is a flexible passenger service designed to enhance road efficiency, reduce peak-hour traffic, and boost passenger satisfaction. however, existing optimization methods for initial passenger requests fall short in addressing real-time passenger needs. Consequently, there is a need to develop real-time DRT route optimization methods that integrate both initial and real-time requests. This paper presents a two-stage, multi-objective optimization model for DRT vehicle scheduling. The first stage involves an initial scheduling model aimed at minimizing vehicle configuration, and operational, and CO2 emission costs while ensuring passenger satisfaction. The second stage develops a real-time scheduling model to minimize additional operational costs, penalties for time window violations, and costs due to rejected passengers, thereby addressing real-time demands. Additionally, an enhanced genetic algorithm based on Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II (NSGA-II) is designed, incorporating multiple crossover points to accelerate convergence and improve solution efficiency. The proposed scheduling model is validated using a real network in Shanghai. Results indicate that real-time scheduling can serve more passengers, and improve vehicle utilization and occupancy rates, with only a minor increase in total operational costs. Compared to the traditional NSGA-II algorithm, the improved version enhances convergence speed by 31.7% and solution speed by 4.8%. The proposed model and algorithm offer both theoretical and practical guidance for real-world DRT scheduling. © 2024 The Authors.

A Preliminary Comparative Study on the Centering Algorithms for CassiniISS NAC Images

Obtaining high precision is an important consideration for astrometric studies using images from the Narrow Angle Camera(NAC)of the Cassini Imaging Science Subsystem(ISS).Selecting the best centering algorithm is key to enhancing astrometric *** this study,we compared the accuracy of five centering algorithms:Gaussian fitting,the modified moments method,and three point-spread function(PSF)fitting methods(effective PSF(ePSF),PSFEx,and extended PSF(x PSF)from the Cassini Imaging Central Laboratory for Operations(CICLOPS)).We assessed these algorithms using 70 ISS NAC star field images taken with CL1 and CL2 filters across different stellar *** ePSF method consistently demonstrated the highest accuracy,achieving precision below 0.03 pixels for stars of magnitude *** to the previously considered best,the modified moments method,the e PSF method improved overall accuracy by about 10%and 21%in the sample and line directions,***,the xPSF model provided by CICLOPS had lower precision than the ***,the ePSF exhibits an improvement in measurement precision of 23%and 17%in the sample and line directions,respectively,over the *** discrepancy might be attributed to the xPSF focusing on photometry rather than *** findings highlight the necessity of constructing PSF models specifically tailored for astrometric purposes in NAC images and provide guidance for enhancing astrometric measurements using these ISS NAC images.

ESTABLIShMENT AND PRELIMINARY CLINICAL APPLICATION OF RADIORECEPTOR ASSAY FOR ThE DETERMINATION OF INSULIN IN hUMAN SERA

A simple radioreceptor assay (RRA) of insulin has been established by using insulin receptor on human placental membrane (hPM). In this system, 60-70% of bound125I-insulin can be displaced when native insulin (338 mU/ml) is added. This method is suitable for clinical application as shown by its sensitivity, accuracy and precision. Serum insulin concentration of normal adults, patients with diabetes mellitus and other diseases determined both by RRA and radioimmunoassay (RIA) tend to be coincident. Experiments showed that RRA as well as RIA, may distinguish nondiabetic and diabetic subjects and patients with insulin dependent diabetes meUitus (IDDM) and noninsulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM). Fasting sera obtained from 40 normal adults were determined by RRA and RIA simultaneously. The concentrations of insulin were 11.25±4.2 μU/ml and 11.19±3.9 μU/ml respectively. The insulin release curves of 9 IDDM patients measured by RRA and RIA were consistent. however, the values of insulin release of 7 normal adults and 8 NIDDM patients determined by RRA were slightly lower than those determined by RIA. Before and after oral administration of nipedipine in 4 cases of coronary heart diseases, insulin release curves, determined by RIA did not change significantly, but from those obtained by RRA, one could observe that the release curves of insulin were much lower or the peak value was delayed. These results are consistent with those of oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and suggest that RRA may be more specific than RIA.

Building well-developed ion-conductive highways is highly desirable for anion exchange membranes(AEMs).Grafting side chain is a highly effective approach for constructing a well-defined phaseseparated morphological structure and forming unblocked ion pathways in AEMs for fast ion *** of side chains can further enhance phase separation due to the superhydrophobic nature of fluorine ***,their electronic effect on the alkaline stability of side chains and membranes is rarely ***,fluorine-containing and fluorine-free side chains are introduced into the polyaromatic backbone in proper configuration to investigate the impact of the fluorine terminal group on the stability of the side chains and membrane *** poly(binaphthyl-co-p-terphenyl piperidinium)AEM(QBNp TP)has the highest molecular weight and most dimensional stability due to its favorable backbone arrangement among ortho-and meta-terphenyl based ***,by introducing both a fluorinated piperidinium side chain and a hexane chain into the p-terphenyl-based backbone,the prepared AEM(QBNp TP-QFC)presents an enhanced conductivity(150.6 m S cm^(-1))and a constrained swelling at 80℃.The electronic effect of fluorinated side chains is contemplated by experiments and *** results demonstrate that the presence of strong electro-withdrawing fluorine groups weakens the electronic cloud of adjacent C atoms,increasing Oh^(-)attack on the C atom and improving the stability of piperidinium *** QBNp TP-QFC possesses a robust alkaline stability at 80℃(95.3%conductivity retention after testing in 2 M Na Oh for 2160 h).An excellent peak power density of 1.44 W cm^(-2)and a remarkable durability at 80℃(4.5%voltage loss after 100 h)can be observed.

Constant-roll inflation with non-minimally derivative coupling

We investigate the constant-roll inflation with non-minimally kinetic coupling to the Einstein *** the slow-roll parameterηφ=-φ/(hφ)being a constant,we calculate the power spectra for scalar and tensor perturbations,and derive the expressions for the scalar spectral tilt n_(s),the tensor spectral tilt n_(T),and the tensor-to-scalar ratio *** find that the expressions for n_(s)are different with different ordering of taking the derivative of the scalar power spectrum with respect to the scale k and the horizon crossing condition c_(sk)=a h in the constant-roll inflation,the consistency relation r=-8n_(T)does not hold if|η_(φ)|is not small,and the duality of the tensorto-scalar ratio between the slow-roll inflation and ultra-slow-roll inflation does not exist in inflationary models with non-minimally derivative *** result offers a fresh perspective on the understanding of the inflationary models with non-minimally derivative coupling and is helpful for the production of scalar induced gravitational waves in the framework of ultra-slowroll inflation with non-minimally derivative coupling.

Thermal comfort in a building with Trombe wall integrated with phase change materials in hot summer and cold winter region without air conditioning

Trombe wall and phase change materials(PCMs)are two effective ways to regulate indoor thermal ***,Trombe wall surfers from overheating in summer and PCMs suffer from low heat transfer rate caused by the limited thermal *** compensate the shortcomings of the two methods,this paper proposed a Trombe wall system integrated with *** on a light-weight building envelope in Changsha,China,the thermal comfort of 10 kinds of Trombe wall systems with PCMs with a melting temperature of 18-28℃ were *** the integrated indoor discomfort duration(I_(D)),integrated indoor discomfort degree-hour(I_(Dh)),indoor air temperature(T_(in)),PCM liquid fraction(γ)and heat flux across wall(q)as evaluation indexes,the indoor thermal comfort was assessed in hot summer and cold winter *** show that the Trombe wall helped PCMs complete the phase change process *** wall with PCM25 next to the wall inner surface possessed the lowest annual I_(D) and I_(Dh),as 2877 h and 12,974℃·h,*** with the values in a traditional building,the I_(D) and I_(Dh) were reduced by 7.01% and 14.14%.In order to give full play to the heat storage and heat release of the Trombe wall with PCMs,PCMs with phase change temperature 7℃ lower than the peak ambient temperature in summer or 8℃ higher than the winter night temperature was recommended according to regional climate conditions.

Wind Speed Short-Term Prediction Based on Empirical Wavelet Transform, Recurrent Neural Network and Error Correction

Predicting wind speed accurately is essential to ensure the stability of the wind power system and improve the utilization rate of wind ***,owing to the stochastic and intermittent of wind speed,predicting wind speed accurately is difficult.A new hybrid deep learning model based on empirical wavelet transform,recurrent neural network and error correction for short-term wind speed prediction is proposed in this *** empirical wavelet transformation is applied to decompose the original wind speed *** long short term memory network and the Elman neural network are adopted to predict low-frequency and high-frequency wind speed sub-layers respectively to balance the calculation efficiency and prediction *** error correction strategy based on deep long short term memory network is developed to modify the prediction *** actual wind speed series are utilized to verify the effectiveness of the proposed *** empirical results indicate that the method proposed in this paper has satisfactory performance in wind speed prediction.

The mechanical response of a single crystal titanium sample against(0001)α surface impact was investigated using molecular dynamics ***,non-uniform plastic deformation was observed in the *** high strain rates,amorphization occurred near the edge of the contact region where severe shear strain induced a large number of stacking faults(SFs)and *** contrast,the central part of the contact region underwent less deformation with significantly fewer ***,instead of amorphization by consuming SFs and dislocations,there was a gradual increase in the density of dislocations and SFs during the process of *** local amorphous regions eventually grew into shear bands.
