Today,in most of the countries forensic dental identification is considered as one of the most accurate and reliable method of identification of human *** application of forensic dentistry has proven successful in both single identification cases as well as in multiple fatality incidents such as world trade center disaster in 2001,the Asian tsunami in December 2004 *** dental identification is one of the primary means of identification along with DNA and fingerprint analysis and also the most common method of identification of human *** of human remains from dental records is mandated by the law in some *** is one of the most disaster‑prone countries of the *** has had some of the world’s most severe droughts,famines,earthquakes,road accidents,and rail *** this paper,few multiple fatality incidents that took place over the last decade in India are reported.A brief analysis of all the reported cases and difficulties encountered during identification were *** purpose of this paper is to discuss some of the issues involved in body identifications following disasters in *** author also discussed to what extent Indian government is successful in utilizing the expertise of a forensic dentist in body identifications and also compared the present practice of forensic dental identification in India to Western *** goal is to cite situations and to bring issues into better focus,and hence that the identification procedures can be refined and changes can be made as necessary.

The article deals with the motion of the breech block carrier and the weapon casing of an automatic weapon mounted on a flexible carriage and the base of the *** works,which did not consider the dynamic properties of the base of the weapon,did not allow to reconcile the calculated and experimental results of the weapon casing displacement when shooting from firing *** the analysis of the motion of individual parts,the methods of mathematical modelling and firing experiments using a high-speed camera were *** show the best accord with experiment when modelling the system with 4 degrees of *** oscillation of the system regarding the movement of the breech block carrier and the weapon casing was investigated under changed conditions of rate of fire,the use of a muzzle brake and different types of shock *** velocities and displacements of the weapon casing and the breech block carrier at different values of the impulse of the gases to the breech block carrier were determined.

The Bafoussam-Mamfe Region(BMR)belongs to the Western Cameroon Highland margin,an amalgam of transient landscape that evolved from the interactions between tectonics,lithology and climate *** area is tectonically active and shows differential tectonic uplift,contrasting relief,variations in erosion rates,in river incision,and in channel *** order to appraise the BMR tectono-geomorphic evolution,it is essential to understand relationships between internal and external processes and their geomorphic expression at a river basin *** this purpose,we use drainage texture(Dt),stream frequency(Fs),drainage density(Dd),asymmetry factor(AF),the transverse topographic symmetry factor(TTSF),the mean of mountain front sinuosity per unit(Smf),concavity factor(Cf),hypsometry integral(HI)and streamlength gradient index(SL-index)based on 30 m Digital Elevation Models(DEM)and field *** results reveal considerable variations in geology,relief,topography and geomorphic indices values differentiated into three geomorphic units;the Mamfe unit developed on the Mamfe Cretaceous basin,the Nguti and Bafoussam high plateau units build up on the Precambrian granito-gneissic basement overlaid by a volcanic *** stepped(longitudinal and normalized)river profiles and complex hypsometric curves show the lithostructural control of the hydrographic ***(from~1.21 to~4.59),Fs(from~0.26 to~1.91),Dd(from~0.66 to~1.71)geomorphic indice values indicate a part of lithologic control on this morphology while the AF(from~1.16to~24.91),TTSF(from~0.20 to~0.71),Smf(U2=1.11 and U3=1.19),Cf(from~-20.91 to~78.93),HI(from~0.12 to~0.52)and SL-index designate the active tectonics as the main factor that had controlled the morphology of this same *** results pinpoint the combined post-Pan-African to Recent tectonic features,lithologic heterogeneities and the differential erosion processes as main factors that have controlled the BMR *** results highlight how

The Douala-Buea Region(DBR;4°-5°N,9°-10°30’E),a portion of the southern Cameroon passive margin,developed on the Proterozoic granito-gneissic basement and the Cretaceous to Recent volcanosedimentary cover,was explored in order to evaluate the lithology and tectonics controls on its landscape usingthequalitativeandquantitative geomorphological analyses based on 30 m resolution Digital Elevation Models(DEM)and field *** area displays an uneven and complex landscape differentiated into four morphological units:Douala,Nkondjock,Kumba and Buea *** Douala Unit corresponds to the Coastal Plain and is extended on the Douala-Kribi/*** Nkondjock Unit represents a middle plateau developed on a Proterozoic granito-gneissic *** Kumba Unit matches with the southernmost volcanic Western Cameroon High *** Buea Unit corresponds to the Mount Cameroon *** relief analysis through mountain-front sinuosity(Smf,1.19–1.43)and relative relief ratio(Rr,0.10–2.31)vary from one unit to *** drainage network analysis including drainage patterns,stepped longitudinalriverprofiles,theassociated morphometric indexes,notably the concavity index(IC,0.56–0.88),deviation(D,267–2912 m),basin asymmetry factor(A_(F),6.37–42.12),hypsometric integral(HI,0.10–0.29),valley floor width to valley height ratio(V_(f),0.36–2.75),elongation ratio(R_(e),0.30–0.50),watershed slope(S,6.88–88.88)and stream length gradient index(SL,0–3332)vary from one basin to another *** results also show the heterogeneous and uneven DBR landscape controlled by its lithology and active *** drainage system reveals concave to concavo-convex longitudinal river profile shapes with knick points,asymmetric basins,and fault reactivations,and highlights the tectonics activity that used to occur through the time and their control on the ***,they document the lithostructural controls on the DBR landscape evolution,extendable in the whole

Dynamic denoising studies in wideband radio channel measurement and modeling

The fixed level and dynamic denoising method was studied based on indoor-to-outdoor measured channel impulse responses ORs） at 5.25 GHz with radio frequency （RF） 100 MHz bandwidth. It is found that the dynamic ranges, peak powers and noise floors of the IRs are with close correlations. The comparisons with different denoising methods are given by deriving the power delay profiles （PDPs）, root mean square （RMS） delay spread （RMS DS）, number of paths （NOPs） and Ricean K-factors. It is concluded that the traditional fixed level noise cut is under estimate of DS and NOPs. The Ricean K-factors are of little sensitive to noise cut irrespective of what kind of methods applied. The PDPs are not very sensitive to the fixed level noise cut, however, obvious changes can be found by dynamic noise cut. The dynamic noise cut is preferred when clear noise floors is observed and decided from the measured IRs, it＇s of importance in data post processing for wideband radio channel measurements as well as the relevant modeling work.

In this paper, based on 5 GHz indoor multi-user measurements, linear precoding schemes such as zero-forcing (ZF), minimum mean square error (MMSE) and successive interference cancelation (SIC) are applied in the base station in order to investigate the performance of virtual multi-input multi-output (MIMO) over single-user MIMO system. However, to form a virtual MIMO multi-user system, the resources of two users are brought together. In order to achieve a low spatial correlation, two spaced antennas in the MS have been chosen and four spaced antennas elements in BS have been selected. Therefore, the resources of two users (U1 and U2) are brought together to form a 4 × 4 virtual MIMO multi-user system with the BS. The properties of the user_1 (U1) and user_2 (U2) will be analyzed and compared to those properties of virtual MIMO multi-user system formed by U1 and U2. In most cases, the maximum achievable rate is seen with virtual MIMO multi-user compared to single-user MIMO. So virtual MIMO multi-user is desirable for boosting system capacity than single-user MIMO. .

This paper aims to analyze the competitive position of Port of Douala in Central African ports market structure. In other words, it consists of measuring port market level and competitiveness through an assessment of their growth rate and market share. The purpose of the paper is to provide us with information on periodical changing status of ports competing with each other. It also provides us with an effective managerial tool to port operators in the assessment of ports market share and position. For doing so, the measurement technique as Shift-Share Analysis was applied in the study by using a panel dataset of the 7 selected ports of Central Africa sub-region from 2008 to 2018. The paper used the recent dynamics and characteristics of port market in terms of port throughputs to compare the yearly trend and market share. By conducting the study of the market growth rate model, the findings showed that the Port of Douala was the top leader of the market in 2009, 2015, 2016 and 2018. The findings also revealed the competitive positions of these ports under study have changed over the period of study due to the significant change of their market share with average growth rates. The final results showed that several determinant factors have affected the present hierarchy of competitiveness level in the selected ports market especially with small and medium size ports that are strengthening their positions vis-a-vis larger ones. However, the results could be used for analyzing the relative efficiency and overall performance of the Central African Sub-regional seaports including the Cameroonian ports.

This paper introduces a new enhanced Arabic stemming algorithm for solving the information retrieval problem,especially in medical *** proposed algorithm is a light stemming algorithm for extracting stems and roots from the input *** of the main challenges facing the light stemming algorithm is cutting off the input word,to extract the initial *** initiating the light stemmer with strong initial segments,the final extracting stems and roots will be more ***,a new enhanced segmentation based on deploying the Direct Acyclic Graph(DAG)model is *** addition to extracting the powerful initial segments,the main two procedures(i.e.,stems and roots extraction),should be also reinforced with more efficient operators to improve the final *** validate the proposed enhanced stemmer,four data sets are *** achieved stems and roots resulted from our proposed light stemmer are compared with the results obtained from five other well-known Arabic light stemmers using the same data *** evaluation process proved that the proposed enhanced stemmer outperformed other comparative stemmers.
