Mult.spect.al microscopy enables informat.on enhancement.in t.e st.dy of specimens because of t.e large spect.al band used in t.is t.chnique. A low cost.mult.mode mult.spect.al microscope using a camera and a set.of quasi-monochromat.c Light.Emit.ing Diodes (LEDs) ranging from ult.aviolet.t. near-infrared wavelengt.s as illuminat.on sources was const.uct.d. But.t.e use of a large spect.al band provided by non-monochromat.c sources induces variat.on of focal plan of t.e imager due t. chromat.c aberrat.on which rises up t.e diffract.on effect. and blurs t.e images causing shadow around t.em. It.result. in discrepancies bet.een st.ndard spect.a and ext.act.d spect.a wit. microscope. So we need t. calibrat. t.at.inst.ument.t. be a st.ndard one. We proceed wit. t.o t.pes of images comparison t. choose t.e reference wavelengt. for image acquisit.on where diffract.on effect.is more reduced. At.each wavelengt. chosen as a reference, one image is well cont.ast.d. First. we compare t.e t.irt.en well cont.ast.d images t. ident.fy t.at.present.ng more reduced shadow. In second t.me, we det.rmine t.e mean of t.e shadow size over t.e images from each set. t.e correct.on of t.e discrepancies required measurement. on filt.rs using a st.ndard spect.omet.r and t.e microscope in t.ansmission mode and reflect.on mode. t. evaluat. t.e capacit. of our device t. t.ansmit.informat.on in frequency domain, it. modulat.on t.ansfer funct.on is evaluat.d. St.uct.red illuminat.on t.chnique offers an alt.rnat.ve t. t.is problem, and provides t.e abilit. t. calculat. in-sit. opt.cal propert.es in dense media. In t.is paper, we propose t.o processing met.ods applied t. images acquired by st.uct.red laser illuminat.on planar imaging (SLIPI) t.chnique t. ext.act.ext.nct.on coefficient. μ_e of probed solut.ons: t.e first.is based on t.e implement.t.on of principal component.analysis (PCA) and t.e second, on t.e calculat.on of Mean Value. Spect.a cont.ining 13 wavelengt.s ranging from 375 nm t. 940 nm were derived from mult.-spect.al images in t.ansmission, reflect.on and scat.ering mode and fluorescence images obt.ined using high-pass filt.rs (F450 nm, F500 nm, F550 nm, F600 nm, F650 nm) on cont.ol maize samples and maize samples t.eat.d wit. Herbext.a herbicide were used. t.e appearance of t.e spect.a allowed us t. charact.rize t.e effect.of t.e herbicide on t.e maize pigment.concent.at.on. t.e fluorescence images allowed us t. t.ack t.e fat. of absorbed energy and t.rough PLS-DA and SVM-DA t. discriminat. t.e t.o leaf cat.gories wit. very low error rat.s for t.e t.st. i.e. 4.9% and 2% respect.vely. t.e result. of t.is t.chnique can be used in t.e cont.xt.of precision agricult.re.

In-field proximal sensing of most.major crops nut.ient. st.ll remains an economical and t.chnical challenge. For t.is purpose, t.e use of effect.ve mult.-excit.t.on fluorescence and reflect.nce wavelengt.s is explored in t.is work on Okra plant. Visible-near infrared (400 - 1000 nm) reflect.nce and mult.-fluorescence dat. were collect.d at.leaf scale in a chemically fert.lized field by using an USB spect.omet.r mount.d wit. an Arduino-based LED driver clip. N, P, K and Ca cont.nt.of samples leaves were measured using reference met.ods. Average pods yield and leaves macronut.ient. cont.nt.were calibrat.d using IrIV-PLS regression aft.r spect.a pret.eat.ent.. Single informat.ve wavelengt.s bands in reflect.nce, red and far-red fluorescences were select.d for building yield and macronut.ient.cont.nt.models. We showed t.at.flowering st.ge was more suit.ble for yield predict.on. Moderat.ly useful macronut.ient.models were found in Ca cont.nt.(rPDval = 1.93, rP = 0.818) and pot.ssium cont.nt.wit. rPDval = 1.8, rP = 0.88. P and N yielding predict.on performance of rPDval = 1.61 (rP = 0.718 ) and rPDval = 1.46 (rP = 0.56) respect.vely were less accurat.. t.is st.dy demonst.at.s pot.nt.alit. of fluorescence and reflect.nce spect.oscopy for accurat. est.mat.on of leaf macronut.ient.cont.nt.and crop yield. Local Binary Pat.erns (LBPs) have been highly used in t.xt.re classificat.on for their robustness, their ease of implementation and their low computational cost. Initially designed to deal with gray level images, several methods based on them in the literature have been proposed for images having more than one spectral band. To achieve it, whether assumption using color information or combining spectral band two by two was done. Those methods use micro structures as texture features. In this paper, our goal was to design texture features which are relevant to color and multicomponent texture analysis without any assumption. Based on methods designed for gray scale images, we find the combination of micro and macro structures efficient for multispectral texture analysis. The experimentations were carried out on color images from Outex databases and multicomponent images from red blood cells captured using a multispectral microscope equipped with 13 LEDs ranging from 375 nm to 940 nm. In all achieved experimentations, our proposal presents the best classification scores compared to common multicomponent LBP methods. 99.81%, 100.00%, 99.07% and 97.67% are t.le="font.family:Verdana;">maximum scores obt.ined wit. our st.at.gy respect.ve

Abnormal subchondral bone remodeling leading t. sclerosis is a main feat.re of ost.oart.rit.s(OA), and ost.omodulin(OMD), a prot.oglycan involved in ext.acellular mat.ix mineralizat.on, is associat.d wit. t.e sclerot.c phenot.pe. However, t.e funct.ons of OMD remain poorly underst.od, specifically in vivo. We used Omd knockout.and overexpressing male mice and mut.nt.zebrafish t. st.dy it. roles in bone and cart.lage met.bolism and in t.e development.of OA. t.e expression of Omd is deeply correlat.d wit. bone and cart.lage microarchit.ct.res affect.ng t.e bone volume and t.e onset.of subchondral bone sclerosis and spont.neous cart.lage lesions. Mechanist.cally, OMD binds t. rANKL and inhibit. ost.oclast.genesis, t.us cont.olling t.e balance of bone remodeling. In conclusion, OMD is a key fact.r in subchondral bone sclerosis associat.d wit.
