Big data are regarded as a tremendous technology for processing a huge variety of data in a short time and with a large storage *** user’s access over the internet creates massive data processing over the *** data require an intelligent feature selection model by addressing huge varieties of *** feature selection techniques are only applicable to simple data *** techniques are needed in big data processing and machine learning for an efficient *** feature selection algorithms read the input features as they ***,the features are preprocessed and ***,an algorithm does not consider the *** feature selection,all features are misread as ***,a less optimal solution is *** our proposed research,we focus on the feature selection by using supervised learning techniques called grey wolf optimization(GWO)with decomposed random differential grouping(DrnDG-GWO).First,decomposition of features into subsets based on relatedness in variables is *** differential grouping is performed using a fitness value of two ***,every subset is regarded as a population in GWO *** combination of supervised machine learning with swarm intelligence techniques produces best feature optimization results in this *** the features are optimized,we classify using advanced kNN process for accurate data *** result of DrnDGGWO is compared with those of the standard GWO and GWO with PSO for feature selection to compare the efficiency of the proposed *** accuracy and time complexity of the proposed algorithm are 98%and 5 s,which are better than the existing techniques.

Management of hepatocellular carcinoma in the elderly

Mean age of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) patients has been progressively increasing over the last decades and ageing of these patients is becoming a real challenge in every day clinical practice. Unfortunately, international guidelines on HCC management do not address this problem exhaustively and do not provide any specific recommendation. We carried out a literature search in MEDLINE database for studies reporting on epidemiology, clinical characteristics and treatment outcome of HCC in elderly patients. Available data seem to indicate that in elderly patients the outcome of HCC is mostly influenced by liver function and tumor stage rather than by age and the latter should not influence treatment allocation. Age is not a risk for resection and older patients with resectable HCC and good liver function could gain benefit from surgery. Mild comorbidities do not seem a contraindication for surgery in aged patients. Conversely, major resection in elderly, even when performed in experienced high-volume centres, should be avoided. Both percutaneous ablation and transarterial chemoembolization are not contraindicated in aged patients and safety profile of these procedures is acceptable. Sorafenib is a viable option for advanced HCC in elderly provided that a careful evaluation of concomitant comorbidities, particularly cardiovascular ones, is taken into account. Available data seem to suggest that in either elderly and younger, treatment is a main predictor of outcome. Consequently, a nihilistic attitude of physicians towards under- or no-treatment of aged patients should not be longer justified.

Media Sporting Events as Platforms for‘Soft Power’and Digital Activism

Mediatic sporting events are increasingly used in the geopolitical arena to gain consensus, at the same time emerging as platforms for the discussion of social issues, such as human rights and sustainability. This article presents an investigation into the role of mediatic sporting events and digital platforms in sparking political debate and social engagement to bring about change, including discussions on global and local interests and the performances of activist fans to promote debate on specific issues. The investigation employs a quantitative methodology. The initial inductive analysis uses a matrix of cultural key-frames of the empowerment and protest that accompany media sporting events, verifying their presence and effectiveness in different communication milieus. An analysis of the representation of protests on social media was performed through content analysis. The results of the investigation show that mediatic sporting events are to be understood as a diverse range of generators of multiple political effects: from the exercise of power to mass mobilization and media criticism.

Static and Buckling Analysis of Concrete Spherical Shells

A finite element analysis, including static and buckling analysis is presented for several notable concrete spherical shells around the world. Also, the structural optimization study of these shells was performed for thickness distribution and structure shape to reduce overall tensile stress, deflection and reinforcements. The finite element analysis using Sofistik software shows that a distributed concrete thickness reduces shell stresses, deflections and reinforcements. A geometrically non-linear analysis of these structures with and without imperfections was also performed. To take into account the possible plastification of the material an analysis with non-linear material was performed simultaneously with the geometrically non-linear analysis. This helps in developing an understanding of the structural behaviour and helps to identify all potential failure causes using failure analysis.

Three major cardiovascular outcome trials(CVOTs)with a new class of antidiabetic drugs-sodium-glucose cotransporter 2(SGLT2)inhibitors(EMPAREG OUTCOME trial with empagliflozin,CANVAS Program with canagliflozin,DECLARE-TIMI 58 with dapagliflozin)unexpectedly showed that cardiovascular outcomes could be improved possibly due to a reduction in heart failure risk,which seems to be the most sensitive outcome of SGLT2 *** other CVOT to date has shown any significant benefit on heart failure *** more impressive findings came recently from the DAPA-HF trial in patients with confirmed and well-treated heart failure:Dapagliflozin was shown to reduce heart failure risk for patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction regardless of diabetes ***,despite their possible wide clinical implications,there is much doubt about the mechanisms of action and a lot of questions to unravel,especially now when their benefits translated to nondiabetic patients,rising doubts about the validity of some current mechanistic *** time frame of their cardiovascular benefits excludes glucoselowering and antiatherosclerotic-mediated effects and multiple other mechanisms,direct cardiac as well as systemic,are suggested to explain their early cardiorenal *** are:Anti-inflammatory,antifibrotic,antioxidative,antiapoptotic properties,then renoprotective and hemodynamic effects,attenuation of glucotoxicity,reduction of uric acid levels and epicardial adipose tissue,modification of neurohumoral system and cardiac fuel energetics,sodiumhydrogen exchange *** most logic explanation seems that SGLT2 inhibitors timely target various mechanisms underpinning heart failure *** the proposed mechanisms of their action could interfere with evolution of heart failure and are discussed separately within the main text.

Properties improvement and microstructure changes during thermomechanical treatment in sintered Cu-Au alloy

The changes in hardness, microhardness, electrical conductivity and microstructure of the sintered Cu-4%Au （mole fraction） alloy during thermomechanical treatment were studied. Following the primary strain hardening, an annealing of rolled alloy in the temperature range of 60-350 ℃ provided additional strengthening due to the anneal hardening effect. An increase in properties took place in two stages, and the best combination of properties was achieved in the alloy pre-rolled with 40% reduction after annealing at 260 ℃. Significant microstructural changes followed the changes of properties in the course of the thermomechanical treatment.

Mobile Fog Computing by Using SDN/NFV on 5G Edge Nodes

Abstract:Fog computing provides quality of service for cloud *** the data computation intensifies,edge computing becomes ***,mobile fog computing is used for reducing traffic and the time for data computation in the *** previous studies,software-defined networking(SDN)and network functions virtualization(NFV)were used separately in edge *** industrial and academic research is tackling to integrate SDN and NFV in different environments to address the challenges in performance,reliability,and ***/NFV is still in *** traditional Internet of things(IoT)data analysis system is only based on a linear and time-variant system that needs an IoT data system with a high-precision *** paper proposes a combined architecture of SDN and NFV on an edge node server for IoT devices to reduce the computational complexity in cloud-based fog *** provides a generalization structure of the forwarding plane,which is separated from the control ***,NFV concentrates on virtualization by combining the forwarding model with virtual network functions(VNFs)as a single or chain of VNFs,which leads to interoperability and *** orchestrator layer in the proposed software-defined NFV is responsible for handling real-time tasks by using an edge node server through the SDN controller via four actions:task creation,modification,operation,and *** proposed architecture is simulated on the EstiNet simulator,and total time delay,reliability,and satisfaction are used as evaluation *** simulation results are compared with the results of existing architectures,such as software-defined unified virtual monitoring function and ASTP,to analyze the performance of the proposed *** analysis results indicate that our proposed architecture achieves better performance in terms of total time delay(1800 s for 200 IoT devices),reliability(90%),and satisfaction(90%).

In this note we show that the general theory of vector valued singular integral operators of Calderón-Zygmund defined on general metric measure spaces,can be applied to obtain Sobolev type regularity properties for solutions of the dyadic fractional *** doing so,we define partial derivatives in terms of Haar multipliers and dyadic homogeneous singular integral operators.

Dental mesenchymal stromal/stem cells in different microenvironments— implications in regenerative therapy

Current research data reveal microenvironment as a significant modifier of physical functions,pathologic changes,as well as the therapeutic effects of stem *** comparing regeneration potential of various stem cell types used for cytotherapy and tissue engineering,mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are currently the most attractive cell source for bone and tooth regeneration due to their differentiation and immunomodulatory potential and lack of ethical issues associated with their *** microenvironment of donors and recipients selected in cytotherapy plays a crucial role in regenerative potential of transplanted MSCs,indicating interactions of cells with their microenvironment indispensable in MSC-mediated bone and dental *** a variety of MSC populations have been procured from different parts of the tooth and tooth-supporting tissues,MSCs of dental origin and their achievements in capacity to reconstitute various dental tissues have gained attention of many research groups over the *** review discusses recent advances in comparative analyses of dental MSC regeneration potential with regards to their tissue origin and specific microenvironmental conditions,giving additional insight into the current clinical application of these cells.
