We investigate transport properties of ballistic magnetic Josephson junctions and establish that suppression of supercurrent is an intrinsic property of the junctions,even in absence of *** studying the role of ferromagnet thickness,magnetization,and crystal orientation we show how the supercurrent decays exponentially with thickness and identify two mechanisms responsible for the effect:(i)large exchange splitting may gap out minority or majority carriers leading to the suppression of Andreev reflection in the junction,(ii)loss of synchronization between different modes due to the significant dispersion of the quasiparticle velocity with the transverse *** results for Nb/Ni/Nb junctions are in good agreement with recent experimental *** approach combines density functional theory and the Bogoliubov-de Gennes model and opens a path for material composition optimization in magnetic Josephson junctions and superconducting magnetic spin valves.

We report the charge-changing cross sections(σ_(cc))of 24 p-shell nuclides on both hydrogen and carbon at about 900A MeV,of which^(8,9)Li,^(10–12)Be,^(10,14,15)B,^(14,15,17–22)N and^(16)O on hydrogen and^(8,9)Li on carbon are for the first *** from the data set,we found a new and robust relationship between the scaling factor of the Glauber model calculations and the separation energies of the nuclei of interest on both *** allows us to deduce proton radii(R_p)for the first time from the cross sections on *** identical R_p values are deduced from both target data for the neutron-rich carbon isotopes;however,the R_p from the hydrogen target is systematically smaller in the neutron-rich nitrogen *** calls for further experimental and theoretical investigations.

This study proposes a methodology to evaluate the energy performance of existing Zero Energy Buildings and to prospect retrofit strategies in a savannah climate,concerning the A2 scenario of emissions from the Fourth Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate *** selected building to study is recognized for its high energy performance,named Centro sEBRAE de sustentabilidade(Css).Two efficient measures were considered:(i)improvement in the air conditioning system coefficient of performance(COP)and(ii)in the energy efficiency of the photovoltaic plates of generation *** methodology is grounded in the potential bioclimatic concept and the employed steps applied were:preparation of climate archives in the 2020,2050 and 2080 time-slices;calibration of the computational model;evaluation of the retrofit strategies on its energy consumption efficiency through computer *** the Css has already attended mostly the bioclimatic strategies for the local climate and has high efficiency measures in its systems,the retrofit focused the air conditioning and PV *** isolated retrofit of the air conditioning system was unable to guarantees the NZEB condition despite providing an adequate level of energy efficiency until *** retrofit of the PV system was the only one that provides the NZEB condition for climate change *** contribution of this paper is to provide a guide to be used in NZEBs,with measures of optimization that provide high potential bioclimatic face to the local where it is built,making it possible to maintain this condition in scenarios of global warming.

Differential diagnosis of supraventricular tachycardia (sVT) and ventricular tachycardia (VT) is of paramount importance for appropriate patient management. several diagnostic algorithms for discrimination of VT and sVT based on surface electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis have been proposed. Following established diagnosis of VT,a specific origination tachycardia site can be supposed according to QRs complex characteristics. This review aims to cover comprehensive and comparative description of the main VT diagnostic algorithms and to present ECG characteristics which permit to suggest the most common VT origination sites.
