Targeted treatment of cancer with radiofrequency electromagnetic fields amplitude-modulated at tumor-specific frequencies

In the past century, there have been many attempts to treat cancer with low levels of electric and magnetic fields. We have developed noninvasive biofeedback examination devices and techniques and discovered that patients with the same tumor type exhibit biofeedback responses to the same, precise frequencies. Intrabuccal administration of 27.12 MHz radiofrequency(RF) electromagnetic fields(EMF), which are amplitude-modulated at tumor-specific frequencies, results in long-term objective responses in patients with cancer and is not associated with any significant adverse effects. Intrabuccal administration allows for therapeutic delivery of very low and safe levels of EMF throughout the body as exemplified by responses observed in the femur, liver, adrenal glands, and lungs. In vitro studies have demonstrated that tumor-specific frequencies identified in patients with various forms of cancer are capable of blocking the growth of tumor cells in a tissue- and tumor-specific fashion. Current experimental evidence suggests that tumor-specific modulation frequencies regulate the expression of genes involved in migration and invasion and disrupt the mitotic spindle. This novel targeted treatment approach is emerging as an appealing therapeutic option for patients with advanced cancer given its excellent tolerability. dissection of the molecular mechanisms accounting for the anti-cancer effects of tumor-specific modulation frequencies is likely to lead to the discovery of novel pathways in cancer.

It has been reported that the host of SARS-CoV-2 can be extremely wide due to the conservation of angiotensin converting enzyme 2 in mammals[1].Several studies have reported natural or experimental infection with SARS-CoV-2 in pets,farm and captive wild animals[2-4].However,to the best of our knowledge,there was no published study assessing virus circulation among domestic or captive animals in Central,West and East *** this study,we assessed the presence and circulation of SARS-CoV-2 or other betacoronaviruses in pets,livestock and animals kept in captivity in conservation centers in Haut-Ogoouéprovince,southeastern Gabon.

The formation of calcium phosphate phases is extremely important in a biomedical engineering context. These phosphates are used in many applications, such as grafts, drug-delivery processes and evaluation of the bioactivity of metallic surfaces. Considering this scenario, it is useful to evaluate the thermodynamic conditions for the precipitation of phosphates of biomedical interest, mainly hydroxyapatite. In this work, we investigate the effects of two important factors using a thermodynamic framework: 1) carbon dioxide partial pressure;and 2) buffer type (2-Amino-2-hydroxy- methyl-propane-1,3-diol, known as TRIS and 2-[4-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazin-1-yl] ethanesulfonic acid, also called HEPES), on the driving force behind the precipitation of calcium phosphates in simulated body fluids. The in silico results show that the pH value is governed by carbon dioxide content, as expected to occur in vivo. Moreover, the buffers can deplete the free calcium available in solution and, consequently, can cause difficulties in the calcium phosphate precipitation.

A new complex comprising [Co@Ge 12 ] 3– cluster core was synthesized through the reaction of CoMe(PMe 3 ) 4 and K 4 Ge 9 in ethylenediamine solution. The pseudo‐ d 5d geometry of this cluster can be viewed as structurally derived from an icosahedral cage via Jahn‐Teller effect, leading to notable bonding differences from I h ‐[M@E 12 ] q − clusters (E = Sn, Pb with q = 2, 3). The [Co@Ge 12 ] 3– cluster represents a structural conundrum. On the basis of the geometric considerations it could be viewed as a sandwich complex. However, chemical bonding analysis revealed that there is a direct covalent multicenter bonding between the two pentagons, thus indicating that the structure should be viewed as an elongated icosahedron. Further theoretical calculations on [M@Ge 12 ] 3− (M = Rh, Ir, Mt) indicate that similar compounds of larger‐size metal atoms can drive the complete transformation of [M@Ge 12 ] 3− clusters from icosahedron structure to a sandwich one.

Canine distemper virus(CdV)has recently been identified in populations of wild tigers in Russia and *** populations are generally too small to maintain CdV for long periods,but are at risk of infections arising from more abundant susceptible hosts that constitute a reservoir of *** CdV is an additive mortality factor,it could represent a significant threat to small,isolated tiger *** Russia,CdV was associated with the deaths of tigers in 2004 and 2010,and was coincident with a localized decline of tigers in Sikhote-Alin Biosphere Zapovednik(from 25 tigers in 2008 to 9 in 2012).Habitat continuity with surrounding areas likely played an important role in promoting an ongoing *** recommend steps be taken to assess the presence and the impact of CdV in all tiger range states,but should not detract focus away from the primary threats to tigers,which include habitat loss and fragmentation,poaching and retaliatory *** priorities include:(i)recognition and diagnosis of clinical cases of CdV in tigers when they occur;and(ii)collection of baseline data on the health of wild *** infection of individual tigers need not imply a conservation threat,and modeling should complement disease surveillance and targeted research to assess the potential impact to tiger populations across the range of ecosystems,population densities and climate extremes occupied by *** the role of domestic and wild carnivores as contributors to a local CdV reservoir is an important precursor to considering control measures.

Aim: The objects of this study originated from the experimental observations, whereby the HIV -1 gp120 V3 loop is a high-affinity ligand for immunophilins, and consisted in generating the structural complex of cyclophilin (Cyc) B belonging to immunophilins family with the virus subtype A V3 loop (SA-V3 loop) as well as in specifying the Cyc B segment forming the binding site for V3 synthetic copy of which, on the assumption of keeping the 3d peptide structure in the free state, may present a forwardlooking basic structure for anti-AIdS drug development. Methods: To reach the objects of view, molecular docking of the HIV-1 SA-V3 loop structure determined previously with the X-ray conformation of Cyc B was put into practice by Hex 4.5 program (http://***/~ritchied/ hex/) and the immunophilin stretch responsible for binding to V3 (Cyc B peptide) was identified followed by examination of its 3d structure and dynamic behavior in the unbound status. To design the Cyc B peptide, the X-ray conformation for the identical site of the native protein was involved in the calculations as a starting model to find its best energy structural variant. The search for this most preferable structure was carried out by consecutive use of the molecular mechanics and simulated annealing methods. The molecular dynamics computations were implemented for the Cyc B peptide by the GROMACS computer package (http:// ***/). Results: The overmolecular structure of Cyc B with V3 was built by computer modeling tools and the immunophilinderived peptide able to mask effectively the structurally invariant V3 segments embracing the functionally crucial amino acids of the HIV-1 gp120 envelope protein was constructed and analyzed. Conclusions: Starting from the joint analysis of the results derived with those of the literature, the generated peptide was suggested to offer a promising basic structure for making a reality of the protein engineering projects aimed at developing the anti-A

Realistic 3d-animation is used in all motion simulation systems of mechanisms and other mechanicals systems. It provides a high-quality illustration of time processes, but it has a weak capability for analysis of their dynamics, for simultaneous display of contact interaction and functioning of mechanisms of different motion types. A spacecraft docking is characterized by a complex contact interaction of docking assemblies with mechanisms and devices of different motion types. Integration and time synchronization of the animation, plots and numerical values greatly facilitates the understanding of dynamics features of these processes. Usage of simple wireframe graphical models allows displaying all contact points. A changing of the set of graphical elements focuses attention on major events of a simulated process. Graphical models developed with consideration of these features and used for spacecraft docking simulation analysis are called dynamic diagrams and described in this paper.

Cardiovascular diseases are the origin of many causes of death worldwide. They impose on practitioners optimal diagnostic methods such as telemedicine in order to be able to quickly detect anomalies for daily care and monitoring of patients. The Electrocardiogram (ECG) is an examination that can detect abnormal functioning of the heart and generates a large number of digital data which can be stored or transmitted for further analysis. For storage or transmission purposes, one of the challenges is to reduce the space occupied by ECG signal and for that, it is important to offer more and more efficient algorithms capable of achieving high compression rates, while offering a good quality of reconstruction in a relatively short time. We propose in this paper a new ECG compression scheme that is based on a subset of signal splitting and 2d processing, the wavelet transform (dWT) and SPIHT coding which has proved their worth in the field of signal processing and compression. They are exploited for decorrelation and coding of the signal. The results obtained are significant and offer many perspectives.
