Objective:To assess the applicability degree of the international guidelines by Moroccan radiotherapists,in order to improve the management of cervical cancer(CC),since CC is the second most common cancer for women in ***:This cross-sectional study was carried out using a questionnaire sent online to Moroccan *** questionnaire covered participants'characteristics,initial assessment and treatment preparation,techniques and indications for radiotherapy and brachytherapy,dose and indications,as well as on the protocol adopted in the intermediate stages and the location of adjuvant treatments and assessments'***:74 radiotherapists out of 300 have responded to the *** 27.0%of practitioners reported discussing patient records systematically in a multidisciplinary consultation meeting(MCM).For the initial assessment,77.0%requested pelvic magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).It is significantly less requested in regional oncology centers(ROCs)than in university hospital centers(UHCs)or the private sector(P<0.001).Furthermore,Clinicians in ROCs do not have access to new techniques of *** 83.8%of cases,the most prescribed radiotherapy protocols were 45–46 Gy in 1.8–2 Gy per ***-dimensional gynaecological brachytherapy high-throughput dose guided by dosimetric scanner was available in 75.5%of structures while interstitial gynaecological brachytherapy was only available in 23%of *** two most prescribed dose protocols were 47 Gy and 37 Gy in 74.4%and 21.6%of cases,***,monitoring during the first two years was based mainly on pelvic MRI(82.2%)while PET/CT was recommended by only less than 10%.Conclusions:The findings obtained show that our radiotherapists generally comply with international guidelines for the cervical cancer ***,they should still enhance their practices for the first staging evaluation,the use of systematic MCMs,the doses and treatment techniques used,and

Programmable Logic Devices （PLDs） continue to grow in size and currently contain several millions of gates. At the same time, research effort is going into higher-level hardware synthesis methodologies for reconfigurable computing that can exploit PLD technology. In this paper, we explore the effectiveness and extend one such formal methodology in the design of massively parallel algorithms. We take a step-wise refinement approach to the development of correct reconfigurable hardware circuits from formal specifications. A functional programming notation is used for specifying algorithms and for reasoning about them. The specifications are realised through the use of a combination of function decomposition strategies, data refinement techniques, and off-the-shelf refinements based upon higher-order functions. The off-the-shelf refinements are inspired by the operators of Communicating Sequential Processes （CSP） and map easily to programs in Handel-C （a hardware description language）. The Handel-C descriptions are directly compiled into reconfigurable hardware. The practical realisation of this methodology is evidenced by a case studying the third generation mobile communication security algorithms. The investigated algorithm is the KASUMI block cipher. In this paper, we obtain several hardware implementations with different performance characteristics by applying different refinements to the algorithm. The developed designs are compiled and tested under Celoxica＇s RC-1000 reconfigurable computer with its 2 million gates Virtex-E FPGA. Performance analysis and evaluation of these implementations are included.

In this work, the effects of the presence of surfactants in the liquid phase and the hydrodynamic regime of the bubble flow on the oxygen transfer rate were investigated in an electroflotation process in batch mode. The volumetric mass transfer coefficient KLα and the oxygenation capacity were evaluated to improve the performances of the electroflotation process in terms of oxygenation. In order to evaluate the liquid-side mass transfer coefficient KLα the volumetric mass transfer coefficient KLα was dissociated into KL and the specific interracial area （a） since the last one was obtained from the gas hold-up and the bubble diameter. The effect of Reynolds number which define the hydrodynamic of the bubble flow has been also studied. Models of KLa and KL have been established to show the effects of the hydrodynamic parameters and liquid phase characteristics on the oxygen transfer rate.

COVID-19 is still a major pandemic threatening all the *** Palestine,there were 26,764 COVID-19 cumulative confirmed cases as of 27th August *** this paper,two statistical approaches,autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA)and k-th moving averages-ARIMA models are used for modeling the COVID-19 cumulative confirmed cases in *** data was taken from World Health Organization(WHO)website for one hundred seventy-six(176)days,from March 5,2020 through August 27,*** identified the best models for the above mentioned approaches that are ARIMA(1,2,4)and 5-th Exponential Weighted Moving Average e ARIMA(2,2,3).Consequently,we recommended to use the 5-th Exponential Weighted Moving Average e ARIMA(2,2,3)model in order to forecast new values of the daily cumulative confirmed cases in *** forecast values are alarming,and giving the Palestinian government a good picture about the next number of COVID-19 cumulative confirmed cases to review her activities and interventions and to provide some robust structures and measures to avoid these challenges.

Accurate reactive power sharing is one of the main issues in isolated microgrids to avoid circulating currents and overloading small distributed generation(DG)units.A simple and enhanced method for improving reactive power sharing among parallel-connected DG systems in an isolated microgrid was *** proposed method uses a compensator term with an integral action to minimize the reactive power-sharing error internally without any need for communication or information shared among the DG ***,a small disturbance carrying part of the reactive power-sharing error is injected into the active power-droop controller,maintaining the essential system parameters within their allowable ***,a simple compensation trigger system is proposed to effectively detect any local load change in the network and provide compensation gains to activate the proposed control *** stability of the proposed method was verified and analyzed using a detailed small-signal ***,the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method were validated through comprehensive simulation studies and comparisons with other related techniques.

In this article,we introduce a new bi-directional dual-relay selection strategy with its bit error rate(BER)performance *** the first step of the proposed strategy,two relays out of a set of N relay-nodes are selected in a way to optimize the system performance in terms of BER,based on the suggested algorithm which checks if the selected relays using the maxmin criterion are the best *** the second step,the chosen relay-nodes perform an orthogonal space-time coding scheme using the two-phase relaying protocol to establish a bi-directional communication between the communicating terminals,leading to a significant improvement in the achievable coding and diversity *** further improve the overall system performance,the selected relay-nodes apply also a digital network coding ***,this paper discusses the analytical approximation of the BER performance of the proposed strategy,where we prove that the analytical results match almost perfectly the simulated ***,our simulation results show that the proposed strategy outperforms the current state-of-the-art ones.

Single-relay selection techniques based on themax-min criterion can achieve the highest bit error rate(BER)performance with full diversity gain as compared to the state-of-the-art single-relay selection ***,in this work,we propose a modified max-min criterion by considering the differences among the close value channels of all relays while selecting the best relay *** proposed criterion not only enjoys full diversity gain but also offers a significant improvement in the achievable coding gain as compared to the conventional ***,in this article,an improved bi-directional three-phase single-relay selection technique using the decodeand-forward protocol for wireless cooperative communication networks that enhances the overall network performance in terms of BER is proposed and its performance is proved analytically and through Monte-Carlo *** specifically,the proposed criterion is first used to select the best *** that the selected relay-node forwards the information symbols of the communicating terminals after performing a digital network coding to minimize power *** our simulations,we show that our proposed technique outperforms the best-known single relay selection ***,we prove that the BER results obtained from our conducted simulations perfectly match those obtained from the theoretical analysis.

The purpose of this research is to assess thermal performance and energy saving of a residential building in the hot semi-arid climate of Marrakech(Morocco).The studied house is built as usual in Marrakech without any thermal insula-tion except for its external walls,facing East and West,which are double walls with a 5 cm air gap in between(“cavity wall”technique).The cavity wall effec-tive thermal conductivity was carefully calculated taking into account both radia-tion and convection heat *** results,obtained from winter and summer monitoring of the house,show well dampening of air temperature,thanks to its thermal ***,this temperature remained outside the standard thermal comfort zone leading to large cooling/heating ***-tion results indicate that the cavity wall contributes to an overall reduction of 13%and 5%of the house heating and cooling loads ***,the addition of XPS roof thermal insulation significantly enhances the heating and cooling energy savings to 26%and 40%respectively.

Fast and accurate monitoring of the phase,amplitude,and frequency of the grid voltage is essential for single-phase grid-connected *** presence of DC offset in the grid voltage is detrimental to not only grid synchronization but also the closed-loop stability of the grid-connected *** this paper,a new synchronization method to mitigate the effect of DC offset is presented using arbitrarily delayed signal cancelation(ADSC)in a second-order generalized integrator(SOGI)phase-locked loop(PLL).A frequency-fixed SOGI-based PLL(FFSOGI-PLL)is adopted to ensure better stability and to reduce the complexity compared with other SOGI-based PLLs.A small-signal model of the proposed PLL is derived for the systematic design of proportional-integral(PI)controller *** effects of frequency variation and ADSC on the proposed PLL are considered,and correction methods are adopted to accurately estimate grid *** simulation results are presented,along with comparisons to other single-phase PLLs in terms of settling time,peak frequency,and phase error to validate the proposed *** dynamic performance of the proposed PLL is also experimentally ***,the proposed PLL has the fastest transient response and better dynamic performance than the other PLLs for almost all performance indices,offering an improved solution for precise grid synchronization in single-phase applications.
