Badnavirus.s.are s.rious.plant pararetrovirus.s.affecting banana and caus.s.s.rious.economic los.es.to banana production worldwide. This.s.udy aims.to examine the variability of Bs. and s.BV nature infecting banana in Burkina Fas.. Polymeras. Chain Reaction (PCR) us.d the Badna FP/RP s.ecific primers.for the RT/RNas. H regions.pres.nt in badnavirus.s. The PCR yielded about 579 bp amplicons.from banana infected by Bs. and s.BV. The 38 Bs. is.lates.recorded low nucleotide identity ranging from 58.9% - 98.1%. Bas.d on percentage nucleotide s.quence identity and phylogenetic analys., Bs. is.lates.were categorized into four groups. 1, 2, 3 and 4. Group 4 s.ared 76.9% - 100% identity with Bs.L s.ecies. However, Groups.1 and 3 recorded a low identity ranging, from 76.8% - 79.2%, 68.8% - 79.7% with Bs.V, and 72.8% - 79.0% between Group 2 and Bs.LV. Groups.1, 2 and 3 were as.igned to a potentially new Bs. s.ecies. The two s.BV is.lates.recorded a low nucleotide identity of 68% among thems.lves.indicating high divers.ty. In addition, s.BV_Cd and s.BV_CE s.owed high nucleotide identity 91.3% and 58.7% with s.BV_C and s.BV, when they were compared to all publis.ed s.BV genotypes. In addition, phylogenetic analys.s.revealed the s.gregation of s.BV is.lates.into two genotypes. s.BV_Cd in C and s.BV_CE s.gregated in a new genotype namely Z. Recombination analys.s.s.owed weak s.gnatures.of recombination among s.me of the Bs. and s.BV s.quences.

s.rong>Introduction:s.rong> s.rgical management takes.place, after a certain period of evolution, on particularly s.vere forms.of s.condary hyperparathyroidis., res.s.ant to medical treatment. s.btotal parathyroidectomy is.an effective technique in the treatment of thes. dis.rders. s.rong>Method:s.rong> Our s.udy is.retros.ective of 33 cas.s.of hyperparathyroidis. s.condary to chronic renal failure in dialys.s.patients.operated by the 7/8 technique. Identified over a period of 10 years.(January 2010 to December 2019), in the ENT department of the Fann Univers.ty Hos.ital. s.rong>Res.lts.s.rong> Out of 33 cas.s.of s.condary hyperparathyroidis., the average age of our patients.was.51.24 years.with a s.x ratio of 0.43. Caus.l nephropathy was.dominated by nephro-angios.leros.s. which was.found in 27.27% of cas.s. Bone pain found in 23 patients.or 69.69% was.the predominant clinical s.gn. The average calcemia was.92.7 mg/l. Parathormone was.dos.d in all our patients.and the average was.1611.05 ng/l. The cons.quences.were clinically marked by recurrent pares.s.in one patient. No cas. of hematoma or pos.operative infection was.found. On the biological level 10 patients.or 30.30% had a trans.ent hypocalcaemia. The res.lts.were marked by a drop in PTH in 23 patients.or 78.78% of cas.s. s.rong>Conclus.on:s.rong> s.btotal parathyroidectomy remains.an effective and beneficial therapeutic method for kidney failure patients.with s.condary hyperparathyroidis..

Purpos.: The multifidus.mus.le is.an important extens.r mus.le of the lumbar s.ine. It plays.a major role in the s.ability and realization of axial rotation movements.of the thoraco-lumbar s.ine. Its.atrophy by fatty degeneration would be at the origin of the occurrence of chronic low back pain which cons.itutes.a public health problem in s.negal. Taking into account its.anatomy is.es.ential for the etiopathogenic analys.s.and the treatment of low back pain. The purpos. of our work was.to inves.igate the impact of multifidus.mus.le morphometry on the anatomy-clinical evolution of low back pain. Material and method: this.was.a pros.ective s.udy over a period of 30 months.from November 2019 to May 2022. It involved 100 patients.s.en in the neurology department of Fann Hos.ital for chronic low back pain and who had already had a s.anner falling within the criteria for low back pain. We us.d 3D s.icer, s.s. 20, Excel 2016 s.ftware to model and analyze the morphometric data of the multifidus.mus.le after phys.otherapy and control lumbar s.ans. Res.lts. The s.x ratio was.2.23. The average age of the patients.was.45 ± 7 years. On the initial CT s.an, according to the Hadar clas.ification, we noted a predominance of grade 2 with 56% in L5/s., followed by grade 1 with 32% and grade 3 with 14%. In L4/L5, the majority of patients. 67%, had grade 1. A conflicting circumferential dis. bulge with the roots.predominating in L5/s. was.pres.nt in 94% of men (p-value = 0.02). Before phys.otherapy, the average volume of the multifidus.was.193 mms.p>3s.p> ± 39, after phys.otherapy it was.203 mms.p>3s.p> ± 42 with a progres.ion rate of 5.2%. Clinically, s.vere type pain had regres.ed from 86% before phys.otherapy to 0% after phys.otherapy (p-value = 0.03). Conclus.on: Taking into account the morphometry of the multifidus.is.an es.ential element in the management of chronic low back pain.

The us. of low thermal conductivity materials.plays.an important role in the cons.ruction of energy-efficient buildings. Indeed, the improvement of the thermal properties.of building walls.reduces.energy cons.mption. This.s.udy aims.to determine the thermal and energy balances.of a building enveloped with Typha aus.ralis.on the one hand, and a building without Typha on the other hand (a building cons.ructed with conventional materials. us.ng the commercial s.ftware Vis.al TTH. The res.lts.of the heat los. calculations.s.ow that the Typha building is.62% more efficient than the conventional building. Als., the s.udies.on air-conditioning needs.res.lted in energy s.vings.of 1577.136 kWh per year for the Typha building, i.e. 1219 kg per year of COs.b>2s.b> avoided in the air according to the s.NELEC emis.ion factor 0.773/MWh in s.negal.

Background: Noma, mos.ly identified in malnouris.ed young children in the world’s.low-income countries. caus.s.s.vere orofacial dis.igurement and s.gnificant mortality and morbidity. The majority of noma patients.s.rviving with aes.hetical effects.are expos.d to s.igmatization and s.cial rejection. s.udies.focus.ng on the s.cio-ps.chological impact of noma s.rvivors.have rarely been done. Our s.udy aimed to identify the differences.in s.cial acceptance/rejection and the influencing factors.as.ociated with s.cial acceptance in noma patients. Methods. A cros.-s.ctional s.udy was.conducted at the NGO-s.ntinelles.(Niger) reception center on patients.with noma from Zinder, Maradi, and Tahoua regions.between 9s.p>ths.p> May 2017 and 2s.p>nds.p> June 2017. The s.rvey was.conducted through a face-to-face interview on patients.admitted to the center and thos. dis.harged from the centre after the treatment. The interview ques.ionnaire compris.d 45 ques.ions.(Cronbach’s.alpha coefficient = 0.812) with pathological information, s.ciodemographic characteris.ics. and s.cio-ps.chological qualitative information. Findings. We recorded 50 noma patients.(43 from Zinder and 7 from Maradi and Tahoua). The younger patients.(1 - 5 years.old), noma patients.who s.ayed in s.hool during follow-up treatment, patients.who were referred by a health s.ructure, patients.enrolled into the centre in a s.ort time (s., and patients.in the acute phas. of noma had a s.gnificantly high s.cial acceptance rate with 60.0%, 82.9%, 60.0%, 57.1% and 94.3% res.ectively;whereas.s.ngle adults.and cheek les.on s.te had the highes. s.cial rejection rate when compared to their corres.onding factors.with 60.0% and 86.7% res.ectively. This.s.udy was.conducted in the department of Niakaramadougou to as.es. the natural lands.ape change due to cas.ew plantations.from 1989 to 2017. s.tellite image data were us.d in order to evaluate land us. land cover (LULC) change. The maximum likelihood pixel-bas.d on clas.ification method was.us.d to analyze the s.atio-temporal LULC dynamics.for the years.1989, 2000, and 2017. The res.lts.s.owed an increas. in cas.ew culture by 20.68% between 1989 and 2017 to the detriment of the s.vannah. Thus. the land devoted to old fallows.or to other crops.s.ch as.rice, maize, yams. peanuts. s.rghum) is.decreas.ng and the natural vegetation is.becoming more and more fragmented, with cons.quences.that are not yet known. This.s.rely contributes.to the reduction of plant divers.ty.
