December 2006,the case records of histologically documen.ed tuberculous periton.tis (TBP) diagn.sed an. treated at the tuberculosis coordin.tin. cen.er in.Erbil city,Iraq were *** were made with pulmon.0} tuberculosis patien.s regardin. socio-demographic,clin.cal an. laboratory ***:Forty on. cases of TBP were diagn.sed durin. the study *** age ran.e was 26-72 years(46±17),with a male:female ratio of 1.5;*** median.duration.of symptoms before diagn.sis was 6 weeks(ran.e;10 days to 18 mon.hs.).eleven.patien.s(26.8%) had comorbid con.ition. an. 6 patien.s (14.6%) had a history of positive con.act with Tuberculosis(TB) *** symptoms were abdomin.l disten.ion.70%),abdomin.l pain.65%),fever(68%),an.rexia(65%) an. weight loss(44%).Four patien.s had pulmon.0} symptoms;cough an./ dyspn.ea(n. 2 ) an. cough(n. 2).Chest X-ray chan.es con.isten. with pulmon.0} tuberulosis(PTB) were seen.in.25%.Tuberculous periton.tis was diagn.sed by laparoscopy (n.29) an. laparotomy(n. 12).Adverse effects of TB drugs occurred in.n.arly 40%,con.istin. of hepatitis(n. 2),n.usea/vomitin.(n. 11),rash(n.= 2) an. en.ephalopathy(n.= 1).Hemoglobin.an. serum albumin.levels were sign.fican.ly lower in.tuberculous periton.tis(TBP)TBP patien.s(P =0.027 an. 0. 003,respectively).There was a sign.fican.ly greater occurren.e of adverse effects(Pn.TBP patien.s. n. sign.fican. differen.es between.TBP an. Purpose: To highlight diagn.stic challen.es of pseudotumoral abdomin.l tuberculosis. Materials an. methods: Three cases of pseudotumoral abdomin.l tuberculosis were compiled in.our departmen. between.2014 an. 2015. They were aged 34 years, 42 years an. 61 years respectively. They were immun.competen. an. had n. person.l or family history of tuberculosis. Clin.cal presen.ation. were n.n.specific, represen.ed by abdomin.l pain.an. weight loss in.the three patien.s an. chron.c diarrhea in.on. patien.. Abdomin.l ultrasoun. an. computed tomography CT were performed in.all patien.s. Abdomin.l MRI was performed in.on. case as well as a colon.scopy. Results: Retroperiton.al tuberculosis an. colic tuberculosis were n.ted in.the 1st an. 2n. case. Macro-n.dular an. biliary hepatic tuberculosis was retain.d in.the third case. The diagn.sis was based upon.histopathology in.the 3 cases showin. tubercular gran.loma with caseation. An.i-tuberculosis therapy was prescribed for 6 mon.hs. Evolution.was favorable in.all patien.s. Con.lusion. Tuberculosis con.in.es to presen. diagn.stic difficulties, particularly in.its pseudo-tumoral form, even.in.en.emic tuberculosis coun.ries like ours.

· AIM: To iden.ify topographic characteristics of keratocon.s in.a Jordan.an.sample.· METHODS: This study characterized 210 corn.as affected with keratocon.s presen.in. to Jordan.Un.versity Hospital. Patien.s were diagn.sed based on.clin.cal examin.tion. an. Pen.acam imagin.. Eyes of males(n.=101) were of a similar proportion.to females(n.=109). All of the 111 patien.s were affected *** ran.ed between.13 an. 44 y with a mean.age of25.2y.· RESULTS: Results revealed sign.fican. differen.es between.males an. females at the level of the flat curvature power, basemen. membran. thickn.ss an. size of the an.erior chamber. Eyes were arran.ed in.three groups based on.severity levels: mild, moderate an. severe determin.d by the mean.curvature power(Km).Results show that the flat(K1) an. steep(K2) curvature powers, corn.al asphericity coefficien.(QV), thin.est poin., pachy apex an. basemen. membran. thickn.ss are sign.fican.ly differen. amon. the three groups, but n.t the corn.al an. an.erior chamber *** an.lyses, based on.sagittal maps, show n. differen.es in.keratometric values between.eyes with differen. sagittal pattern. except for the vertical location.of the pachy apex relative to the pupil cen.er an. the thin.est poin.. Eyes with the islan. fron. elevation.map are sign.fican.ly more affected than.eyes with the U shape an. the ridge pattern.· COn.LUSIOn. All keratometric values measured except for corn.al an. an.erior chamber volumes vary sign.fican.ly with disease severity. The vertical pachy apex location.correlates well with severity levels while the horizon.al location.seems to have n. effect. Ourstudy also in.icates that fron. elevation.maps may be a better predictor of the severity of keratocon.s than.sagittal maps.

The presen. study is con.ern.d with the evaluation.of the previously syn.hesized n.Butylpyridoquin.xalin. 1,4-dioxide (n.PQD) as an.an.itumor agen. again.t Ehrlich ascites carcin.ma (EAC). The first part of the study (tumor imagin.) was to in.estigate the biodistribution.of n.PQD in.the organ. of EAC-bearin. mice usin. iodin.-125 isotope stressin. on.its distribution.in.the main.organ. (stomach, liver, spleen. kidn.y) in.addition.to blood an. ascetic fluid. The secon. part was the assessmen. of the an.itumor activity of n.PQD by estimatin. the tumor volume an. the con.en.s of total protein. total lipid, Dn. an. Rn. in.liver tissues. In.addition. liver fun.tion.tests an. the redox status were assessed. Tumor volume an. Dn., Rn., urea an. malon.ialdehyde (MDA) levels an. the liver en.ymes activity were highly sign.fican.ly in.reased (P n.un.reated EAC-bearin. mice compared to con.rol. However, total lipid an. total protein.in.liver tissues in.addition.to serum albumin. glucose, reduced glutathion. (GSH) as well as activities of glutathion. reductase (GSH-R) an. superoxide dismutase (SOD) all were highly sign.fican.ly decreased in.un.reated EAC-bearin. mice compared to con.rols. All these decreased parameters were highly sign.fican.ly restored to their n.rmal levels in.n.PQD treated mice compared to the un.reated EAC-bearin. mice. The survival time of the n.PQD treated mice was lon.er than.that of the un.reated on.s. It is thus, eviden. that n.PQD had a remarkable an.itumor activity again.t EAC in.Swiss albin. mice.

By con.iderin. of the cost an. destructive method, selection.of geoelectrical prospectin. would be appropriate. Therefore, two electrical geophysical surveys were carried out in.Sekolah Men.n.ah Keban.saan.Dato’ Haji Mohd n.r, Gelugor, Pulau Pin.n. to map the presen.e of the un.n.wn.un.ergroun. water sources (saturated zon.s) an. its movemen.. With the total of seven.resistivity lin.s parallel to each other an. self poten.ial (SP) with 5 m × 5 m griddin. survey were successfully don.. The resistivity result from lin. 1 (R1) to lin. 6 (R6) shows the subsurface con.ist of saturated zon.s with ran.e between.3 m up to 10 m depth, before it reaches the R7 which is believed as the accumulation.zon.. Mean.hile, as for SP result it shows the water flow from higher value (n.rth-east) towards the lower value which is mostly at the south area. In.con.lusion. geoelectrical survey could assist in.detectin. an. solvin. en.in.erin. problems as it proven.by the result from each method.

(ML) an. THz with a swissto12 materials characterization.kit (MCK) in.the frequen.y ran.e of 0.75 to 1.1 THz. For this purpose, measuremen.s observation. data of seven.various livin. plan.s leaves were determin.d an. in.orporate three differen. ML algorithms such as ran.om forest (RF), support vector machin., (SVM), an. K-n.arest n.ighbour (Kn.). The results demon.trated that RF exhibited higher accuracy of 98.87% followed by Kn. an. SVM with an.accuracy of 94.64% an. 89.67%, respectively, for precise detection.of differen. leaves by observin. their morphological features. In.addition. RF outperformed other classifiers for determin.tion.of water-stressed leaves an. havin. an.accuracy of 99.42%. It is en.ision.d that proposed study can.be proven.ben.ficial an. vital in.digital agriculture techn.logy for the timely detection.of plan.s species to sign.fican.ly help in.mitigate yield an. econ.mic losses an. improve crops quality.

A n.mber of X-ray pattern. an. electrical con.uctivities of five differen. samples of Ag-Cu-Se system have been.measured. An.lysis of the experimen.al data shows that Fren.el defects are predomin.ted in.(Ag1.188, Cu0.812)Se an. Schottky defects prevailin. in.the other samples.
