In this study,Al–Zn and Al–Mg coatings were deposited on steel substrates by an arc thermal spray process.X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used to characterize the deposited coatings and corrosion *** circuit potential（OCP）,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,and potentiodynamic studies were used to assess the corrosion characteristics of these coatings after exposure according to the Society of Automotive Engineers（SAE）J2334 solution of varying *** solution simulates an industrial environment and contains chloride and carbonate ions that induce corrosion of the deposited ***,the Al–Mg alloy coating maintained an OCP of approximately-0.911 V versus Ag/Ag Cl in the SAE J2334 solution even after 792 h of *** indicates that it protects the steel sacrificially,whereas the Al–Zn coating provides only barrier-type protection through the deposition of corrosion *** Al–Mg coating acts as a self-healing coating and provides protection by forming Mg_6Al_2（Oh）_（16）CO_3（Al–Mg layered double hydroxides）.Mg_6Al_2（Oh）_（16）CO_3has interlocking characteristics with a morphology of plate-like nanostructures and an ion-exchange ability that can improve the corrosion resistance properties of the *** presence of Zn in the corrosion products of the Al–Zn coating allows dissolution,but,at the same time,Zn_5（Oh）_6（CO_3）_2and Zn_6Al_2（Oh）_（16）CO_3are formed and act to reduce the corrosion rate.

Measuring the growth parameters of Ge quantum dots （QDs） embedded in SiO2/Si hetero-structure is pre- requisite for developing the optoelectronic devices such as photovoltaics and sensors. Their optical properties can be tuned by tailoring the growth morphology and structures, where the growth parameters＇ optimizations still need to be explored. We determine the effect of annealing temperature on surface morphology, structures and optical properties of Ge//SiO2//Si hetero-structure. Samples are grown via rf magnetron sputtering and subsequent characterizations are made using imaging and spectroscopic techniques.

In this article, we introduce the notion of generalized derivations on hilbert C＊-modules. In this study, CeO2 nanostructures were synthesized by a soft chemical method. A hydrothermal treatment was observed to lead to an interesting morphological transformation of the nanoparticles into homogeneous microspheres composed of nanosheets with an average thickness of 40 nm. Structural analysis revealed the formation of a single-phase cubic fluorite structure of CeO2 for both samples. A Raman spectroscopic study confirmed the XRD results and furthermore indicated the presence of a large number of oxygen vacancies in the nanosheets. These oxygen vacancies led to room-temperature ferromagnetism （RTFM） of the CeO2 nanosheets with enhanced magnetic characteristics. Amazingly, the nanosheets exhibited substantially greater antibacterial activity than the nanoparticles. This greater antibacte- rial activity was attributed to greater exposure of high-surface-energy polar surfaces and to the presence of oxygen vacancies.

This article presents the generation of Orbital AngularMomentum(OAM)vortex waves with mode 1 using Uniform Circular Array(UCA)*** different designs,namely,UCA-1(4-element array antenna)and UCA-2(8-element array antenna),were designed and fabricated using FR-4 substrate to generate OAM mode 1 at 3.5 Ghz(5G mid-band).The proposed antenna arrays comprised rectangular microstrip patch elements with inset fed *** elements were excited by a carefully designed feeding phase shift network to provide similar output energy at output ports with desired phase shift *** generated OAM waves were confirmed by measuring the null in the bore sight of their 2D radiation patterns,simulated phase distribution and intensity *** measurement results agree well with the simulation ***,a detailed mode purity analysis of the generated OAM waves was carried out considering different *** investigation found that the greater the number of elements,the higher the purity of the generated OAM *** with other previous works,the proposed antenna design of this paper is very simple to design and *** addition,the proposed antennas are compact in design even at lower frequency band with very wide bandwidth to meet the requirements of 5G mid-band applications.

MXenes are a novel family of two-dimensional(2D)materials that are fast gaining popularity due to their versatile *** surfaces of these materials are often functionalized by negatively charged terminal groups,such as=O,Oh,and F during their synthesis,and it has been hypothesized that regulating the surface terminators enables to control the material ***,there is still a large gap between computational and experimental investigations regarding comprehending the surface functional *** with mixed terminations are consistently synthesized in experiments,although pure terminated surfaces are predicted by computational *** we summarized the nature of chemical bonding in transition metal carbide materials(MXenes)by1h and19F nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),Raman,X-ray absorption near edge structure(XANES),extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAFS),ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy(UPS),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)/scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM),and thermogravimetric analysis-mass spectrometry(TGA-MS)*** literature reveals that=O,–Oh,–F,and–Cl are typical MXene surface ***,recent comparative investigations on the valence band intensity distribution in MXenes reveal that the–Oh cannot be considered an intrinsic termination species in *** surface terminals(=O,–Oh,–F,and–Cl)of several MXenes,particularly V2CTxand Ti3C2Tx,will be identified and quantified *** have also discussed different etching approaches for the synthesis of MXene,the dependence of MXene conductivity on MXene terminating groups,and the emission of various gaseous products that evolved during its chemical *** paper provides significance,especially in the field of energy conversion and storage materials,where the intercalation process is crucial.

The Potential Efficacy of Glycyrrhizic Acid and Its Nanostructure Against Brown Rot of Peach fruits

Production of peaches(Prunus persica(L.)Batsch)for both local market and export is increasing each year in *** rot disease,caused by Monilinia laxa and Monilinia fructigena,is considered one of the most important postharvest rots affecting peaches in Egypt and economic losses are *** activity of glycyrrhizic acid nanoparticles(GA-NPs)and glycyrrhizic acid(GA)at 0.2 and 0.4 mmol/L was investigated as a control for both these brown rot pathogens on peach fruits in both in vitro and in vivo *** the in vitro studies,GA-NPs were the most effective as shown by the ability to decrease linear growth of both brown rot pathogens in potato dextrose agar(PDA)amended with 0.4 mmol/L *** of *** exposed to 0.4 mmol/LGA showed mycelial deformations,nodule formation,detachment of the cell wall,shrinkage and inhomogeneous cytoplasmic materials with large *** of *** exposed to 0.4 mmol/LGA-NPs resulted in thinner and distorted hyphae,nodule formation,cell wall thinning,and *** GANPs and GA treatments improved fruit quality by maintaining firmness and total soluble solids(TSS).GA-NPs were more effective in decreasing decay incidence than their bulk *** 0.4 mmol/L GA-NPs completely inhibited the disease on naturally infected peach fruits for both seasons of 2018 and ***,0.4 mmol/L GA-NPs reduced the disease incidence in inoculated fruits by 95(***)and 88%(***)in 2018 season and 96(***)and 85%(***)in 2019 *** conclusion,GA-NPs could enhance the resistance of peaches against brown rot caused by *** and ***.
