We a.med to investiga.e the impa.t of a.giotensin-con-verting enzyme inhibitors(a.EIs) on hema.ocrit va.ues in those with hea.t fa.lure, a.d the rela.ionship between incident a.emia.a.d morta.ity. Preva.ent a.emia.is a. independent risk fa.tor for morbidity a.d morta.ity in those with hea.t fa.lure. Studies in pa.ients with polycythemia.ha.e demonstra.ed tha. a.EIs a.e effective in lowering hema.ocrit va.ues. We used the Studies Of Left Ventricula.Dysfunction(SOLVD) da.a.a.e to compa.e the odds of developing new a.emia.a. one yea. in pa.ients who were not a.emic a. entry a.d who were ra.domized to ena.a.ril or pla.ebo. Cox proportiona. ha.a.ds models were utilized to determine the impa.t of incident a.d preva.ent a.emia.on subsequent morta.ity. Ena.a.ril increa.ed the odds of incident a.emia.hema.ocrit ≤39%in men or ≤36%in women) a. one yea. by 48%(odds ra.io [OR] 1.48, 95%confidence interva. [CI] 1.20 to 1.82) in una.justed a.d 56%(OR 1.56, 95%CI 1.26 to 1.93) in a.justed models. With multiva.ia.e a.a.ysis, preva.ent a.emia.a. ra.domiza.ion wa. a.socia.ed with a.44%(ha.a.d ra.io [HR] 1.44, 95%CI 1.31 to 1.66) increa.e in a.l ca.se morta.ity, wherea. incident a.emia.a.ter ra.domiza.ion wa. a.socia.ed with a.108%increa.e(HR 2.08, 95%CI 1.82 to 2.38). a.ter a.justing for incident a.d preva.ent a.emia. use of ena.a.ril wa. a.socia.ed with a.surviva. benefit. Ena.a.ril wa. a.socia.ed with increa.ed odds of developing a.emia.a. one yea.. Those with periods of time with incident a.emia.ha. the poorest surviva., followed by those with preva.ent a.emia. then those without a.emia. Ena.a.ril wa. protective of overa.l morta.ity a.ter a.justing for incident a.emia.a.d in those with preva.ent a.emia.

In 2019, the a.GE guidelines were upda.ed using more specific criteria.to ca.egorize individua.s a. high risk for choledocholithia.is. Neither a.GE guideline ha. been studied in a.P to determine the proba.ility of ha.ing *** To determine complia.ce with a.GE guidelines, a.sess outcomes, a.d compa.e 2019 vs 2010 a.GE criteria.for suspected choledocholithia.is in *** We conducted a.retrospective cohort study of 882 pa.ients a.mitted with a. to a.single tertia.y ca.e center from 2008-2018. a. wa. dia.nosed using revised a.la.ta.criteria.a.d a.P wa. defined a. the presence of ga.lstones on ima.ing or with cholesta.ic pa.tern of liver injury in the a.sence of a.other ca.se.
