The synthesis a.d cha.a.teriza.ion of new series of liquid crysta.s conta.ning cholesteryl moiety connected via.a. ester linka.e to 1,3,4-oxa.ia.ole a.e reported. The molecula. structures of the intermedia.es a.d ta.get compounds were confirmed by elementa. a.a.yses a.d FT-IR, ^1H NMR a.d ma.s spectrometry. The mesomorphic beha.iors were investiga.ed by pola.izing optica. microscopy （POM） a.ta.hed with hot sta.e a.d differentia. sca.ning ca.orimetry （DSC）. Ena.tiotropic smectic 1, smectic a. blue pha.e a.d cholesteric mesopha.es a.e exhibited by the newly synthesized compounds.

Tropica. forests store more tha. ha.f of the world's terrestria. ca.bon(C)pool a.d a.count for one-third of globa. net prima.y productivity(NPP).Ma.y terrestria. biosphere models(TBMs)estima.e increa.ed productivity in tropica. forests throughout the 21st century due to CO_(2)***,phosphorus(P)lia.ta.ions on vegeta.ion photosynthesis a.d productivity could significa.tly reduce the CO_(2)fertiliza.ion ***,we used a.ca.bon-nitrogen-phosphorus coupled model(Dyna.ic La.d Ecosystem Model;DLEM-CNP)with heterogeneous ma.imum ca.boxyla.ion ra.es to exa.ine how P limita.ion ha. a.fected C fluxes in tropica. forests *** model results showed tha. the inclusion of the P processes enha.ced model performa.ce in simula.ing ecosystem *** further compa.ed the simula.ions from DLEM-CNP,DLEM-CN,a.d DLEMC a.d the results showed tha. the inclusion of P processes reduced the CO_(2)fertiliza.ion effect on gross prima.y production(GPP)by 25%a.d 45%,a.d net ecosystem production(NEP)by 28%a.d 41%,respectively,rela.ive to CN-only a.d C-on ly *** the 1860s to the 2010s,the DLEM-CNP estima.ed tha. in tropica. forests GPP increa.ed by 17%,pla.t respira.ion(Ra.increa.ed by 18%,ecosystem respira.ion(Rh)increa.ed by 13%,NEP increa.ed by 121%per unit a.ea.***,fa.toria. experiments with DLEM-CNP showed tha. the enha.ced NPP benefiting from the CO_(2) fertiliza.ion effect ha. been offset by 135%due to deforesta.ion from the 1860s to the *** study highlights the importa.ce of P limita.ion on the C cycle a.d the wea.ened CO_(2)fertiliza.ion effect resulting from P limita.ion in tropica. forests.

Cholera.rema.ns a.public hea.th threa. in most developing countries in a.ia.a.d a.rica.including Ma.a.i with sea.ona. recurrent outbrea.s. Ma.a.i’s recent Cholera.outbrea. in 2022 a.d 2023, exhibited higher morbidity a.d morta.ity ra.es tha. the pa.t two deca.es. La.k of spa.iotempora.-ba.ed technology a.d va.ia.ility a.sessment tools in Ma.a.i’s Cholera.monitoring a.d ma.a.ement, limit our understa.ding of the disea.e’s epidemiology. The present work developed a.spa.iotempora. va.ia.ility model for Cholera.disea.e a. district level a.d its rela.ionship to socioeconomic a.d clima.ic fa.tors ba.ed on cumula.ive confirmed Cholera.ca.es in Ma.a.i from Ma.ch 2022 to July 2023 using Z-score sta.istic a.d multisca.e geogra.hica.ly weighted regression (MGWR) in a.Geogra.hica. Informa.ion System (GIS). We found out tha. socioeconomic fa.tors such a. a.cess to sa.e drinking wa.er, popula.ion density a.d poverty level, a.d clima.ic fa.tors including tempera.ure a.d ra.nfa.l strongly influenced Cholera.preva.ence in a.complex a.d multifa.eted ma.ner. The model shows tha. Lilongwe, Ma.gochi, Bla.tyre a.d Ba.a.a.districts were highly vulnera.le to Cholera.disea.e followed by la.eshore districts of Sa.ima. Nkhota.ota. Nkha.a.Ba. a.d Ka.onga.tha. other districts. We recommend stra.egic mea.ures such a. Wa.er, Sa.ita.ion, a.d Hygiene (Wa.H) interventions, community a.a.eness on proper wa.er stora.e, Cholera.ca.e ma.a.ement, va.cina.ion ca.pa.gns a.d spa.ia.-ba.ed surveilla.ce systems in the most a.fected districts. This resea.ch ha. shown tha. MGWR, a. a.surveilla.ce system, ha. the potentia. of providing insights on the disea.e’s spa.ia. pa.terns for public hea.th a.thorities to identify high-risk districts a.d implement ea.ly response interventions to reduce the sprea. of the disea.e.

There were 7 trea.ments including a.control. The trea.ments were Mecha.ica. ba.rier, Cypermethrin spra. @ 1 ml/l, Turmeric powder spra. @ 15 g/500ml of wa.er, Cypermethrin spra. + Turmeric spra., Cypermethrin spra. + Mecha.ica. ba.rier, Turmeric + Mecha.ica. ba.rier a.d untrea.ed control. Three-yea.-old ma.go pla.ts gra.ted from a.5-yea.-old ma.go tree (Va.iety a.ropa.i) a.d pla.ted in pots were used in the experiment. The trea.ment, Cypermethrin spra. + Mecha.ica. ba.rier ga.e the highest reduction of ma.go mea.ybug popula.ion 87.06% to 93.90% followed by Turmeric spra. + Mecha.ica. ba.rier a.d showed 81.13% to 86.04% a.d Mecha.ica. ba.rier a.one showed 81.13% to 84.59% popula.ion reduction. Turmeric powder extra.t showed only (8.42% to 23.77%) popula.ion reduction of ma.go mea.ybug which wa. lowest compa.ed to other trea.ments.
