The recent discovery of cancer cell plasticity,*** ability to reprogram into cancer stem cells(CSCs)either naturally or under chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy,has changed,once again,the way we consider cancer *** cancer stemness is a reversible epigenetic state rather than a genetic identity,opportunities will arise for therapeutic strategies that remodel epigenetic landscapes of ***,the systematic use of DNA methyltransferase and histone deacetylase inhibitors,alone or in combination,in advanced solid tumors including colorectal cancers,regardless of their molecular subtypes,does not seem to be the best *** this review,we first summarize the knowledge researchers have gathered on the epigenetic signatures of CSCs with the difficulty of isolating rare populations of *** raise questions about the relevant use of currently available epigenetic inhibitors(epidrugs)while the expression of numerous cancer stem cell markers are often repressed by epigenetic *** markers include the three cluster of differentiation CD133,CD44 and CD166 that have been extensively used for the isolation of colon ***,we describe current treatment strategies using epidrugs,and we hypothesize that,using correlation tools comparing associations of relevant CSC markers with chromatin modifier expression,we could identify better candidates for epienzyme targeting.

In this thesis,I have studied how the growing Chinese presence in the traditional French sphere of influence that is Francophone Africa,has impacted the way Paris conducts its Foreign *** since its defeat in 1870,France has sought to regain its grandeur and global rank which has been exacerbated by the Second World ***,it has always relied heavily on its colonies to maintain its rank on the world *** decades,France managed to retain its influence in Francophone Africa and Franco-African relations did not change much despite the major changes that have affected the world order such as decolonization and the end of the cold *** is,however,after the Chinese presence grew stronger on the continent that the French African Policy towards Francophone Africa changed more *** is why,in order to pursue its foreign policy goals of maintaining a global rank and（residual）great power role,France had to adjust its African ***’s survival in its former sphere of influence could only be realized by Europeanizing a part of its African policy and thus benefit from the European multiplier ***,by promoting human and sustainable investments with a focus on young entrepreneurs,France is trying to differentiate itself from all the other *** implementing these new strategies,the French Nation can continue to rely on Africa to pursue its great power aspirations and in the process contain the Chinese presence in Francophone Africa.

The thermal conduction in a thin laminated plate is considered here. The lateral surface of the plate is not regular. Consequently, the boundary of the middle plane admits a geometrical singularity. Close to the origin, the lateral edge forms an angle. We shall prove that the classical bidimensional problem associated with the thin plate problem is not valid. In this paper, using the boundary layer theory, we describe the local behavior of the plate, close to the perturbation.

为了处理高活性、放热性C级放射性废弃物,在比利时通常采用圆柱体混凝土"超级容器"作为基本途径。"超级容器"是合成的废弃物包,废弃物由碳钢包裹组成,碳钢被波特兰水泥制成的"缓冲器"包裹。自密实混凝土作为一种特殊类型的混凝土,正被考虑用来制备"缓冲器"。一旦"缓冲器"被浇筑并且硬化程度很高时,放射性废弃物就被包裹在"缓冲器"内,存在的缝隙可以采用新拌灌浆料填充(例如自密实砂浆)。用盖子将"超级容器"密封后应用于"超级容器"的混凝土层,即混凝土缓冲器、灌浆料及盖子在硬化期间(灌浆料)与硬化之后("缓冲器"与盖子)将暴露在废弃物热场与辐射场内。因此,需要解决2个主要的问题:1)γ射线(α与β射线被碳钢包裹层阻断,中子的影响可以忽略)对灌浆料硬化强度的影响;2)温度升高(从20℃升高到105℃)对硬化试件强度的影响。为了证实强度是否损失并确定强度损失后的主要机理,采用荧光显微镜,在砂浆或混凝土薄片的截面上直接分析毛细孔隙率。

The periorbital area is the third highest-ranking area for cosmetic surgery. However, surgery in this area presents a number of difficulties and safety concerns. First generation Monopolar RF treatments in this area were usually associated with considerable pain and long downtime. In the present clinical study, we used the iFine handpiece of the EndyMed PRO, multi-source phase-controlled radiofrequency (RF) for Non-invasive, pain free, skin rejuvenation of the periorbital area. The study included eleven (11) subjects, treated for periorbital signs of aging (iFine handpiece, EndyMed PRO platform, EndyMed Medical, Caesarea, Israel). The degree of clinical improvement was assessed by the global aesthetic improvement scale (GAIS) and subjects satisfaction by post treatment questionnaires. 91% of patients showed good to excellent improvement as a result of the treatment. Subjects satisfaction showed that 55% of patients reported that they were very satisfied, 45% were satisfied while none were dissatisfied. There were no incidences of infections, scarring, hypopigmentation, or any other serious complications.

The impact of a chronic disease such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) on sexual functioning and body image can significantly impair the quality of life of patients. This review considers the sexual and fertility aspects of IBD patients and their daily management. Modern IBD healthcare management should include appropriate communication on sexuality and consider psychological, physiological, and biological issues. Patients with IBD have less children than the general population, and voluntary childlessness is frequent. The most influential factors reported by IBD patients who experience fertility alteration are psychological and surgery-related problems. Pregnancy is a major concern for patients, and any pregnancy for IBD patients should be closely followed-up to keep the chronic disease in a quiescent state. Preconceptional consultation is of great help.

In this report,we show that hyperspectral high-resolution photoluminescence mapping is a powerful tool for the selection and optimiz1ation of the laser ablation processes used for the patterning interconnections of subcells on Cu(Inx,Ga1-x)Se2(CIGS)*** this way,we show that in-depth monitoring of material degradation in the vicinity of the ablation region and the identification of the underlying mechanisms can be ***,by analyzing the standard P1 patterning line ablated before the CIGS deposition,we reveal an anomalous emission-quenching effect that follows the edge of the molybdenum groove *** further rationalize the origins of this effect by comparing the topography of the P1 edge through a scanning electron microscope(SEM)cross-section,where a reduction of the photoemission cannot be explained by a thickness *** also investigate the laser-induced damage on P1 patterning lines performed after the deposition of *** then document,for the first time,the existence of a short-range damaged area,which is independent of the application of an optical aperture on the laser *** findings pave the way for a better understanding of P1-induced power losses and introduce new insights into the improvement of current strategies for industry-relevant module interconnection schemes.

Advances in the oncology field have led to improved survival ***,quality of life after remission is anticipated,which includes the possibility to conceive *** cancer treatments are potentially gonadotoxic,fertility preservation must be *** fertility preservation is mainly based on ejaculated sperm *** this is not possible,testicular sperm extraction(TESE)may be *** identify situations in which TESE has been beneficial,a systematic review was *** search was carried out on the PubMed,Scopus,Google Scholar,and CISMeF databases from 1 January 2000 to 19 March *** Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)recommendations were followed in selecting items of ***-four articles were included in the systematic review,including 15 articles on oncological testicular sperm extraction(oncoTESE),18 articles on postgonadotoxic treatment TESE and 1 article on both oncoTESE and postgonadotoxic treatment *** sperm freezing was possible for 42.9%to 57.7%of patients before gonadotoxic treatment and for 32.4%to 75.5%of patients after gonadotoxic treatment,depending on the type of malignant *** no formal conclusion could be drawn about the chances to obtain sperm in specific situations,our results suggest that TESE can be proposed before and after gonadotoxic *** treatment,TESE is more often proposed for men with testicular cancer presenting with azoospermia since TESE can be performed simultaneously with tumor removal or *** chemotherapy,TESE may be planned if the patient presents with persistent azoospermia.
