Inadequate human-system integration reduces the safety,increases the overall complexity of the system,the time needed to perform tasks,the probability of human errors occurrence and complicates training and maintenance of the *** is imperative to understand and to incorporate the requirements related to the operators,their needs and ability,the current work practices of the operators,the requirements of workplace environment and the organizational aspects of the job into the life cycle of the *** aim is to guarantee the involvement of the users in all phases of the system development,to improve the operational reliability,to design reliable and robust system,so that the task demands can be compatible with human capabilities and *** monitoring systems are critical systems that operate twenty-four hours a day,monitoring the radiation condition in work environments inside a nuclear *** data signals from radiation detectors installed at work site are transmitted to a central control room where radiation levels and alarm activated are operated and monitored on *** this paper is proposed a methodological framework,applied to the design of the human-system interfaces,that includes the analysis of the reference systems,the functional requirements analysis,the functions allocation,the task analysis,the job analysis,the analysis of the work context and the analysis of the users *** case study is based on the development of the interfaces of the radiation monitoring supervisory system to be installed in a research nuclear reactor.

前不久看了一档大型文化节目《国家宝藏》,看过之后不禁感慨于中华文明的博大精深,更对一件件文物背后的工艺匠人们肃然起敬。北宋王希孟的《千里江山图》,从精细的选材到繁琐的上色,正是艺术家这种对于工艺近乎苛刻的追求,才能打造出一幅如此震撼磅礴的江山图画;而乾隆年间的各种釉彩大瓶,也是工匠们在经过无数遍温度的试验之后,最终才将各个朝代的烧造技术融于一体,造就出瓷器界的巅峰之作。

景观设计正处于复兴时期——一个重要的标志是景观设计师第一次被授予麦克阿瑟奖。透过大型景观项目,景观设计师需要对城市公园、滨水区,以及城市中心开发区得以提出新的构思。这些项目因巨大的规模和尺度,会对其所在的城市带来重要的社会、生态和经济影响。这种客户主导的服务模式影响着景观项目的进行,也影响了景观设计师的收入及声望,但这只是景观实践的其中一种模式。本文介绍的"疏浚设计"计划旨在扩展服务范畴并建立新型专业实践模式,它整合了研究、设计、实验、实践,和由社区及不同合作对象执行的适应性管理。这种模式并非意在推翻或否定现有的景观设计模式,而是力求拓展景观设计的可能性,并鼓励更多的设计师关注景观设计中的不同媒介,同时探索各种尺度下非自然的淤积过程及处理。这一横跨多专业的协作机制有助于在从业者、社区成员、学者、监管者和专业人士之间建立一套整合的概念框架、规划优先等级和应用景观策略,以推进巴尔的摩-切萨皮克湾地区的疏浚物韧性设计管理,并为其他港口城市和沿海社区在新型实践模式和新兴景观基础设施方面的探索提供借鉴。

Analysis of Adult Nephrectomies at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi, Ghana

Objective: To evaluate open nephrectomies performed in adults over a five year period at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and to compare our experience with findings in the literature. Materials and Methods: This was a prospective, cross-sectional, hospital based study of all adults undergoing nephrectomy from October 2012 to September 2017 at KATH. We obtained data on patient demographics, clinical presentation, laboratory and imaging results, laterality of the disease, and indication for nephrectomy, complications and histopathology of nephrectomy specimen. The data was analyzed using PASW Statistics for Windows, Version 19.0. Chicago: SPSS Inc. Results: Thirty three (33) adult nephrectomies were performed over the study period. There were 18 males (54.50%) and 15 females (45.50%) with an age range of 16 years to 80 years. The modal age range for renal malignancies was 31 - 40 years accounting for 36.40% of adult nephrectomies. Flank pain (75.80%), haematuria (54.60%) and flank mass (51.50%) were the predominant presenting complaints. Malignant renal tumours accounted for 22 (66.70%) of the nephrectomies followed by neglected Pelvi-Ureteric Junction Obstruction (PUJO)—7 (21.20%);two (6.10%) nephrectomies were due to trauma and one (3.00%) for emphysematous pyelonephritis. Conclusion: Renal cell carcinoma constitutes the main indication for adult nephrectomy at KATH followed by neglected PUJO. Most of the patients with renal tumours were young and also presented late.

Cosmeceuticals are the fastest growing products in the cosmetics field and represent a hybrid between cosmetics and drugs. The main benefits reported for cosmeceutical herbal extracts, used in skin care, include antioxidant and antimicrobial activities and the tyrosinase inhibiting effect. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant and antibacterial activities of extracts from Chromolaena odorata, Mitracarpus villosus, Senna alata, Tetradenia riparia, Cannabis sativa and Pterocarpus soyauxii used traditionally in the management of skin and skin annexes pathologies;additionally to determine their microscopical characteristics and their chromatographic fingerprints. Microscopic analyses showed the specific botanical microscopic characters for each plant that constitute the database useful for the identification and authentication of these botanicals. To the best of our knowledge, our work is the first to describe the microscopic histological characters of studied plants except for Cannabis sativa. The results of the TLC chromatographic analysis revealed the richness in phenolic compounds, terpenes in all extracts and Pterocarpus soyauxii contained coumarins. All extracts displayed high ABTS and DPPH radical-scavenging activities connected with their IC50 values at the concentration range of 1 - 125 μg/mL with Cannabis sativa and Pterocarpus soyauxii as the most active. All plant extracts exhibited antibacterial activity on Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus to varying degrees. Cannabis sativa exhibited strong effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Chromolaena odorata and Tetradenia riparia showed a marked effect on Escherichia coli. This paper presents a study on the improvement of MLNNs(multi-layer neural networks)performance by an activity function for multi logic training *** model network has L hidden layers of two inputs and three,four to six output training using BP(backpropagation)neural *** used logic functions of XOR(exclusive OR),OR,AND,NAND(not AND),NXOR(not exclusive OR)and NOR(not OR)as the multi logic teacher signals to evaluate the training performance of MLNNs by an activity function for information and data enlargement in signal processing(synaptic divergence state).We specifically used four activity functions from which we modified one and called it L&*** as it could give the highest training abilities compared to the original activity functions of Sigmoid,ReLU and Step during simulation and training in the *** finally,we propose L&*** as being good for MLNNs and it may be applicable for signal processing of data and information enlargement because of its performance training characteristics with multiple training logic patterns hence can be adopted in machine deep learning.

The objective of this paper is to evaluate the Vialit Adhesion Test and its potential for use within performance oriented specifications for seal treatments. Multiple aggregates and emulsions are evaluated with existing test methods and with modified equipment and methods. The results indicate the current test tray is inadequate and that a thicker tray provides better results. Conditioning that incorporated either freeze times between 4 to 8 hours and/or freeze thaw cycles were also found to be improvements to the current conditioning methods. The specified mass of the steel spheres used during the test may be too restrictive in that more economical spheres were tested and did not show differences in aggregate loss.
