This paper presents an upper limb exoskeleton that allows cognitive(through electromyography signals)and physical user interaction(through load cells sensors)for passive and active exercises that can activate neuroplasticity in the rehabilitation process of people who suffer from a neurological *** the exoskeleton to be easily accepted by patients who suffer from a neurological injury,we used the ISO9241-210:2010 as a methodology design *** the first steps of the design process,design requirements were collected from previous usability tests and ***,as a second step,a technological solution is proposed,and as a third step,the system was evaluated through performance and user *** part of the technological solution and to allow patient participation during the rehabilitation process,we have proposed a hybrid admittance control whose input is load cell or electromyography *** hybrid admittance control is intended for active therapy exercises,is easily implemented,and does not need musculoskeletal modeling to ***,electromyography signals classification models and features were evaluated to identify the best settings for the cognitive human–robot interaction.

The lack of data regarding the metabolic effects of smoking and smokingcessation in diabetes is very disappointing and this area needs to be addressed.

Effect of functional composite coating developed via sulphate and chloride process parameter on the UNS G10150 steel for structural and wear mitigation in defence application

The major engineering challenge of materials in defence technologies is the vulnerability of based metals to structural and wears deformation in service. In this paper, structural formation, mechanical and thermal stability behavior of developed composite coating of Zn-30 Al-7%Ti/Sn chloride bath and Zn-30 Al-7%Ti/Sn sulphate bath was investigated and compared to provide mitigation against failure. The thermal ageing property was done for 2 h at 600C via isothermal furnace. The structural, interfacial effect and stability behaviors of the co-deposited alloys were evaluated using scanning electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive spectrometer(SEM/EDS), atomic force microscope(AFM) and Xray diffractometer(XRD). The hardness and wear properties of the deposited coatings were examined with diamond base micro-hardness tester and reciprocating sliding tester respectively. The result shows that Zn-30 Al-7%Ti/Sn sulphate co-deposition contributed to increase hardness and wear resistance than Zn-30 Al-7%Ti/Sn chloride bath alloy. The stable crystal growth and significant performance of Zn-30 Al-7%Ti/Sn sulphate are link to the intermetallic phase hybrid of Zn Al, Zn4 Ti Al2, Zn3 Al Ti. Besides, it was observed that Zn-30 Al-7%Ti/Sn sulphate has excellent thermomechanical stability at harsh temperature,due to the deposition of Sn/Ti on steel; leading to formation of super-hard interface. However, it was established that co-deposition of mild steel with Zn-30 Al-7%Ti/Sn in sulphate bath significantly improved the structural and wear performance. It was shown that the hardness and wear of the developed composite Zn-30 Al-7%Ti/Sn is increased by about 80% compared to as received sample and about 25% compared with Zn-30 Al-7%Ti/Sn chloride coating developed. The improvement was proved to be an interference of zinc-composite growth. A Personalized Digital Code from Unique Genome Fingerprinting Pattern for Use in Identification and Application on Blockchain

With over 10 million points of genetic variation from person to person, every individual’s genome is unique and provides a highly reliable form of identification. This is because the genetic code is specific to each individual and does not change over time. Genetic information has been used to identify individuals in a variety of contexts, such as criminal investigations, paternity tests, and medical research. In this study, each individual’s genetic makeup has been formatted to create a secure, unique code that incorporates various elements, such as species, gender, and the genetic identification code itself. The combinations of markers required for this code have been derived from common single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), points of variation found in the human genome. The final output is in the form of a 24 numerical code with each number having three possible combinations. The custom code can then be utilized to create various modes of identification on the decentralized blockchain network as well as personalized services and products that offer users a novel way to uniquely identify themselves in ways that were not possible before.

Gamma-emitting radionuclide ^(99m)Tc is globally used for the diagnosis of various pathological conditions owing to its ideal single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) ***,the short half-life of ^(99m)Tc (T_(1/2)=6 h)makes it difficult to store or ***,the production of ^(99m)Tc is tied to its parent radionuclide ^(99)Mo (T_(1/2)=66 h).The major production paths are based on accelerators and research *** reactor process presents the potential for nuclear proliferation owing to its use of highly enriched uranium (HEU).Accelerator-based methods tend to use deuterium–tritium(D–T) neutron sources but are hindered by the high cost of tritium and its challenging *** this study,a new ^(99)Mo production design was developed based on a deuterium–deuterium (D–D) gas dynamic trap fusion neutron source (GDT-FNS) and a subcritical blanket system (SBS) assembly with a low-enriched uranium (LEU) ***-FNS can provide a relatively high-neutron intensity,which is one of the advantages of ^(99)Mo *** provide a Monte Carlo-based neutronics analysis covering the calculation of the subcritical multiplication factor (k_(s)) of the SBS,optimization design for the reflector,shielding layer,and ^(99)Mo production *** calculations,including the neutron flux and nuclear heating distributions,are also provided for an overall evaluation of the production *** results demonstrated that the SBS meets the nuclear critical safety design requirement (k_(s)<0.97) and maintained a high ^(99)Mo production *** proposed system can generate approximately 157 Ci ^(99)Mo for a stable 24 h operation with a neutron intensity of 1×10^(14) n/s,which can meet 50%of China’s demand in 2025.

Determination of Geoid over South China Sea and Philippine Sea from Multi-satellite Altimetry Data

A new computational procedure for derivation of marine geoid on a 2.5′×2.5′grid in a non-tidal system over the South China Sea and the Philippine Sea from multi-satellite altimeter sea surface heights is discussed. Single-and dual-satellite crossovers were performed, and components of deflections of the vertical were determined at the crossover positions using Sand-well's computational theory, and gridded onto a 2.5′×2.5′resolution grid by employing the Shepard's interpolation procedure. 2.5′×2.5′grid of EGM96-derived components of deflections of the vertical and geoid heights were then used as reference global geopotential model quantities in a remove-restore procedure to implement the Molodensky-like formula via 1D-FFT technique to predict the geoid heights over the South China Sea and the Philippine Sea from the gridded altimeter-derived components of deflec-tions of the vertical. Statistical comparisons between the altimeter-and the EGM96- derived geoid heights showed that there was a root-mean-square agreement of ±0.35 m between them in a region of less tectonically active geological structures. However, over areas of tectonically active structures such as the Philippine trench, differences of about -19.9 m were obtained.

Novel Method to Deal with Interval Quadratic Equations via Sign-Variation Analysis

In this article, analytical results are obtained apparently for the first time in the literature, for the lower and upper bounds of the roots of quadratic equations when two or all three coefficients a, b, c constitute an interval, with a method called the sign-variation analysis. The results are compared with the parametrization technique offered by Elishakoff and Miglis, and with the solution yielded by minimization and maximization commands of the Maple software. Solutions for some interval word problems are also provided to edulcorate the methodology. This article only focuses on the real roots of those quadratic equations, complex solutions being beyond this investigation.
