BACKGROUND Cerebrovascular accident(CVA)is.a.major global contributor to death and *** part of its medical management,researchers have recognized the importance of promising neuroprotective strategies,where stem cell transplantation(SCT)is thought to confer advantages via trophic and neuroprotective *** To evaluate the current state of research on SCT in patients with CVA,assess key trends and highlight literature *** PubMed was screened for SCT in CVA-related articles in October 2023,for each country during the period between 2000 and *** the World Bank data,total population and gross domestic product were collected for ***_1.6.19 was used to create the VOS figure using the results of the same *** and tables were obtained using Microsoft Office *** A total of 6923 studies were identified on SCT in CVA,making 0.03%of all published studies ***,68%were conducted in high-income countries,with a significant focus on mesenchymal stem *** journal“Stroke”featured the largest share of these articles,with mesenchymal SCT having the highest rate of inclusion,followed by hematopoietic *** time,there has been a noticeable shift from in vitro studies,which assess stem cell proliferation and neurogenesis,to in vivo studies aimed at evaluating efficacy and ***,the number of reviews increased along this *** This bibliometric analysis provides a comprehensive guide for physicians and researchers in the field through an objective overview of research activity,and highlights both current trends and *** a potential therapeutic role in CVA,more research is needed in the future to focus on different aspects of SCT,aiming to reach a better treatment strategy and improve life quality in patients.

Correlation of matrix metalloproteinase－2, －9, tissue inhibitor－1 of matrix metalloproteinase and CD44 variant 6 in head and neck cancer metastasis

This study aimed to explore the molecular mechanism in tumor invasion and metastasis. The expression of matrix metalloproteinase 2, 9 (MMP 2, MMP 9), tissue inhibitor 1 of matrix metalloproteinase (TIMP 1), cell adhesion molecule 44 variant 6 (CD44v6), HER2/neu and p53 was investigated in 154 patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) by ABC and ImmunoMax immunohistochemical method. Their clinical relevance and correlation were analysed. The expression of MMP 2, MMP 9, TIMP 1, CD44v6, HER2/neu and p53 was found in cancer cells in 87.01%, 85.71%, 68.18%, 98.05%, 55.19% and 50.65% cases respectively. Linear regression and correlation analysis revealed that there was close positive relationship ( P <0.05) between the expression of MMP 2 and MMP 9, TIMP 1 and CD44v6, HER2/neu and MMP 9, MMP 2 and p53. Up regulation of MMP 2 was accompanied by advanced T stage ( P <0.01) . There was also a trend of MMP 2 expression being related with tumor metastasis. Increased expression of HER2/neu was found in patients with tumor recurrence( P <0.05). The expression of TIMP 1 was higher in laryngeal cancer than that in pharyngeal cancer, and higher in keratinizing and non keratinizing SCC than that in basaloid SCC( P <0.05). These findings suggested that MMP 2 and MMP 9, HER2/neu and MMP 9, MMP 2 and p53 had a coordinate function in aggression of tumor; that MMP 2 had a more important function than MMP 9 in tumor invasion and metastasis; and that HER2/neu might serve as a biomarker for poor prognosis in HNSCC.

The intimate anatomical relationship of the facial nerve to the parotid parenchyma has a significant influence on the presenting signs and symptoms, diagnosis.a.d treatment of parotid ***, to our knowledge, hyperactivity of this nerve, presenting as facial spasm, has never been described as the presenting sign or symptom of a parotid *** report a case of carcinoma arising in a recurrent pleomorphic adenoma of the left parotid gland(i.e., carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma) that presented with hemifacial *** outline the differential diagnosis of hemifacial spasm as well as a proposed *** paralysis, lymph node enlargement, skin involvement, and pain have all been associated with parotid *** date the development of facial spasm has not been reported with parotid *** most common etiologies for hemifacial spasm are vascular compression of the ipsilateral facial nerve at the cerebellopontine angle(termed primary or idiopathic)(62%), hereditary(2%), secondary to Bell's palsy or facial nerve injury(17%), and hemifacial spasm mimickers(psychogenic, tics, dystonia, myoclonus, myokymia, myorthythmia, and hemimasticatory spasm)(17%).Hemifacial spasm has not been reported in association with a malignant parotid tumor but must be considered in the differential diagnosis of this presenting symptom.

Limiting Use of Potential Energy Storage Compared to Batteries for a Lebanese Hybrid Wind/PV System

In l,ebanon, hybrid wind/PV systems are used to provide electricity when the public electricity is cut off This paper treats the storage problems of electrical energy generated by the used renewable sources. A theoretical study on two types of electrical energy storage systems is given. These systems are the electrochemical energy storage devices （batteries） and the potential （or hydraulic） energy storage system. In order to find the limiting case of use between these two energy storage systems, economical study and comparison between them are discussed and analyzed.

Research on Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems with Fault Detection Technology

Early and accurate fault detection and diagnosis for renewable energy systems can increase their safety and ensure the continuity of their service. This paper presents a comprehensive review of different fault detection and diagnosis methods for hybrid renewable energy systems consisting of a wind turbine power generator, a PV （photovoltaic） array, a PEM （polymer electrolyte membrane） fuel cell and a battery storage system. The need of batteries to store the generated power from the solar panel, wind turbine or PEM fuel cell is.a.so emphasized. Finally, an overview of the current methods used in the diagnosing of the lead-acid battery degradation is given.

Chicken Feathers Waste Management by Microbial as a Sustainable and Tool Environmental Friendly

Valorizing chicken feather agro-wastes nowadays is imperative, if these wastes are disposed of without treatment, they could contribute to environmental problems. Conventional methods of processing chicken feathers such as landfilling, chemical treatment and burning are costly, non-time consumable and are toxic to the environment. Microbial hydrolysis, on the contrary, is now considered the main environmental-friendly recycling alternative. Hence, the aim of this study is to isolate keratinolytic bacteria with efficient feather hydrolysis, to optimize some of the physical parameters that could affect both bacterial growth and consequently its degrading ability. Results demonstrated an efficient feather degrading ability of newly identified Bacillus sp. D4 strain isolated from chicken feathers under optimal mesophilic temperature 37°C, pH 8.0 and 106 CFU/mL cell size inoculum, interpreted by highest keratin activity (55.0 ± 1.35 U/mL) and (54.3 ± 1.5 U/mL) respectively and higher total protein content in the cell free supernatant of 0.65 mg/mL. Beyond these parameters values, a moderate enzyme activity was observed at 40°C (35.1 ± 2 U/mL), 25°C (30.1 ± 2 U/mL), similarly at the initial pH 7.5 (52.3 ± 2 U/mL), pH 9.0 (49.0 ± 1.2 U/mL) and pH 10.0 (38.2 ± 1.35 U/mL). Bacillus sp. D4, on the other hand, was not able to tolerate high alkaline pH value 11.0 nor acidic pH 4.0 and 5.0 and high temperature of 55°C, correspondingly low enzyme activity was noted (19.0 ± 1 U/mL).
