The velocities of tectonic plates derived from gNSS time series are regularly used as input data for geophysical models. However, as shown by numerous researches, the coordinates time series contain residual errors of a systematic nature, which can significantly affect the reliability of the obtained velocity estimates. This research shows that using non-classical error theory of measurement(NETM)for processing gNSS time series allows detecting the presence of weak, not removed from gNSS processing, sources of systematic errors. Based on the coordinate time series of selected permanent gNSS stations in Europe, we checked the empirical distributions of errors by the NETM on g. Jeffries’ recommendations and on the principles of the theory of hypothesis tests according to Pearson’s criterion. It is established that the obtained coordinates time series of gNSS-stations only partially confirm the hypothesis of their conformity to the normal gaussian distribution law, and this may be the main reason for their unrepresentative classification. In the future, it is necessary to identify and take into account the causes of residual errors that distort the real distribution of the results of the gNSS time series.

Today, the most urgent problem of the existing and future nuclear power industry is to ensure the nuclear and environmental safety of the operation of nuclear power reactor units (NPPs) and nuclear power plants (NPPs). It is solved thanks to the application of deeply echeloned protection and an anti-accident complex of methods and means for effective control of the operation of active reactor zones (AZR). However, the danger of existing NPPs in the world from time to time manifests itself in the form of severe post-project accidents and catastrophes with the release into the environment of a significant amount of radioactive materials dangerous for all living things. The results of the analysis show that the unconditional fulfillment of the main requirements of nuclear environmental safety and biocompatibility is possible only in the so-called wave nuclear reactor of the g-V generation, which, unlike reactors of the previous generations III, II+ and IV, does not require supercritical loading of the core with nuclear fuel. In the active zone of this reactor, nuclear-physical processes governed by physical law are implemented, which exclude the operator’s participation in regulating the reactivity of the reactor’s active zone, which makes it the reactor with the highest level of nuclear and environmental safety today, which is based on the principles of so-called internal safety, free from the human factor. The possibility of burning nuclear fuel based on U238 and Th232 in it expands the reserves of energetic nuclear fuel almost to inexhaustibility. The technology of nuclear reactors of the g5 generation through the secondary use of spent irradiated nuclear fuel (SNF) for the production of energy and energy raw materials with simultaneous burning of it to an environmentally safe state is able to quickly reduce the available stocks and further production of dangerous SNF, guarantee the nuclear and environmental safety of NPPs with reactors g5 and to technologically mak

Method is developed for self-consistent calculation of the energy spectrum of free energy and electrical disordered crystals. Processes of electron scattering on the ionic core potential of different sort, fluctuations of charge, spin density and lattice vibrations are taken into account. Electronic states of the system are described using tight binding multiband model. The nature of the spin-dependent electron transport of carbon nanotubes with chromium atoms adsorbed on the surface is explained. The value of the spin polarization of electron transport is determined by the difference of the partial densities of states of electrons with opposite spin projection at the Fermi level and the difference between the relaxation times of electron states. The value of the spin polarization of the electric current increases with increasing of Cr atoms concentration and magnitude of the external magnetic field.

Histone H1/MBP hydrolysing antibodies - novel potential marker in diagnosis of disease severity in systematic lupus erythematosus patients

Recently we have shown the presence of catalytically active Iggs, capable to cleave histone H1 and bovine myelin basic protein (MBP), in blood serum of SLE patients. Here we present data that demonstrate the correlation between a) proteolytic activity towards histone H1 and MBP of Igg-antibodies from blood serum of SLE patients and b) disease severity level in these patients. Iggs were isolated from blood serum by chromatography on protein g-sepharose. Commercial preparations of bovine myelin basic proteins (MBP) and calf thymus histone H1 were used as substrates. Analysis of the proteolytic activity showed that 16 of 38 lgg-preparations (42,1%) obtained from blood serum of SLE patients were capable of cleaving both histone H1 and MBP with different efficiency. It was revealed that the presence in blood serum of lggs possessing proteolytic activity towards both histone H1 and bMBP closely correlates with manifestation of the disease severity in SLE patients.

Objectives: To study the effect of fetal stem cell(FSC) therapy on grade Ⅰ and Ⅱrespiratory failure in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS) and muscular dystrophy(MD). Methods: A comparative study was conducted on 41 patients with grade Ⅰ or Ⅱrespiratory failure(RF) resulting from ALS or MD. The patients were divided into 4 groups according to the underlying disease and the degree of RF. Patients underwent combined treatment, including the experimental application of FSC therapy, and were examined before FSC treatment, and 6 months and 12 months after treatment. Results: FSC treatment improved both subjective and objective breathing parameters as early as 6 months post‐treatment. A significant increase in the forced vital capacity(FVC) and forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1) was reported by all patients with grade Ⅰ RF linked to ALS and MD compared to baseline. Patient respiratory improvement was maintained over the next 6 months. grade Ⅱ RF patients with MD reported a significant improvement in FVC 12 months after treatment. Conclusions: Evidence for respiratory improvement was observed as early as 6 months in all patients after combined treatment including FSC therapy, and this was maintained for a further 6 months after therapy. In MD patients with grade Ⅱ RF, treatment resulted in a significant FVC and FEV1 increase within 6 months and downgrading to grade Ⅰ RF within a year after FSC treatment.

In the presents work,the authors have carried out a field study of moisture transfer processes in highway subgrades in a cold region during freezing and laboratory experiments on freezing samples of silicified soils used as a capillary *** study showed that the creation of a capillary barrier from an injected solution,blocking the access of groundwater to the freezing zone,will reduce the amount of heaving to permissible *** on the results of laboratory studies,an exponential dependence of the relative deformation due to frost heaving on the relative height of soil silicatization in the freezing zone has been *** creating a capillary barrier in the already existing subgrade,the authors have proposed designs of injection-silicified soils and substantiated the use of such soils.

Femoral neck fracture occurring after an epileptic seizure is a rare and under-diagnosed injury. The majority of the reported cases in literature are old patients with osteoporosis. Younger patients present several risk factors of osteopenia and the treatment remains controversial. We present an outcome of a 23 years old patient with unilateral femoral neck fracture occurring during an epileptic seizure and we discuss the associated multiple risk factors of osteopenia and osteonecrosis of the hip. The patient was brought to the emergency department of Teaching Hospital of Kamenge (chuk) complaining of pain in his left hip that had been progressing for one month after an epileptic seizure. There is a history of HIV infection since birth and epileptic seizures with ongoing treatments for both diseases. Despite the high risk of avascular necrosis, the treatment choice has been influenced by the patient’s age and a conservative surgery by internal fixation with Dynamic Hip Screw has been made. Unfortunately, this treatment early resulted in osteonecrosis of the hip since HIV infection itself and the highly active anti-retroviral therapy increase its risk.
