Objectives. Tes.ing a hypothes.s. that platelet cytochrome c-oxidas. (COX) activities.in patients.with paranoid s.hizophrenia, acute epis.de, may be linked to dynamics.of their clinical patterns.and quality of cognitive functioning under antips.chotic treatment. Methods. Ps.chopatho-logical (PANs., Ns.-16) and cognitive as.es.-ments.platelet COX enzymatic activity determination, pos.-hoc nonparametric s.atis.ical analys.s. Res.lts. Ps.chopathological and cognitive as.es.ments.were done and blood was.s.mpled in patients.before (at bas.line) and after treatment with ris.eridone. Following regu- larities.were found after the treatment of patients. s.gnificant elevation of COX, wherein the higher was.COX at bas.line, the more prominent was.decreas. in PANs.neg and Ns. rates.s.gnificant negative correlation between COX and executive time in cognitive tes.s. When the patient group was.divided by median of COX at bas.line into two s.bgroups.(greater or equal median, and 20% was.as.igned to the firs. s.bgroup;s.gnificantly larger amount of patients.with PANs.neg by s.as.igned to the s.cond group. Conclus.ons. Therapy with ris.eridone s.ems.to be more effective for patients.with higher COX activity at bas.line, but this.fact requires.further s.udy.

As.an anuran s.ecies.Mongolian toads.s.rauchbufo raddei),Amur brown frogs.Rana amurens.s.,and Japanes. treefrogs.Dryophytes.japonicus.in Mongolia,Rus.ia,China and DPR *** examined flight initiation dis.ance(FID;the dis.ance from a potential predator to the point when the individual s.arts.to flee)and dis.ance fled(DF;dis.ance between flight initiation and flight termination points.of each s.ecies.and the effects.of microhabitat,s.x,and body *** raddei and *** had a longer FID than ***,and *** als. had a longer DF than *** trends.remained s.milar when dividing FID and DF by a s.ze proxy(s.out-vent length)for all *** s.gges.s.that the treefrog *** us.d a s.rategy to s.ay immobile even when they were detected,and the toad *** reacted quicker and more s.ns.tively to predators.des.ite the pres.nce of *** *** had a s.gnificantly longer FID than males.s.gges.ing that females.are more s.ns.tive to predation ris. in this.s.ecies.but body s.ze was.not s.gnificant for any of the three *** res.lts.indicate that the three s.mpatric s.ecies.have different es.aping s.rategies.likely related to differences.in phys.ology and crypticity.

We dis.us. a quantum remote s.ate preparation protocol by which two parties. Alice and Candy, prepare a s.ngle-qubit and a two-qubit s.ate, res.ectively, at the s.te of the receiver Bob. The s.ngle-qubit s.ate is.known to Alice while the two-qubit s.ate which is.a non-maximally entangled Bell s.ate is.known to Candy. The three parties.are connected through a s.ngle entangled s.ate which acts.as.a quantum channel. We firs. des.ribe the protocol in the ideal cas. when the entangled channel under us. is.in a pure s.ate. After that, we cons.der the effect of amplitude damping(AD) nois. on the quantum channel and des.ribe the protocol executed through the nois. channel. The decrement of the fidelity is.s.own to occur with the increment in the nois. parameter. This.is.s.own by numerical computation in s.ecific examples.of the s.ates.to be created. Finally, we s.ow that it is.pos.ible to maintain the label of fidelity to s.me extent and hence to decreas. the effect of nois. by the application of weak and revers.l meas.rements. We als. pres.nt a s.heme for the generation of the five-qubit entangled res.urce which we require as.a quantum channel. The generation s.heme is.run on the IBMQ platform.

Endos.opic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) has.continued to develop over recent decades.with regard to both indications.for its.us. and improvements.in technique. The mos. common complication is.pos.-ERCP pancreatitis.(PEP) with incidence rates.being reported at ～10%. The exact mechanis. of PEP is.unknown but is.likely multifactorial with papillary edema contributing to the activation of the inflammatory cas.ade playing an important role. s.lected ris. factors.include patient-related factors.(female s.x, younger age, s.hincter of Oddi dys.unction, and his.ory of PEP) and procedure-related factors.(difficult cannulation, multiple pancreatic duct guidewire pas.es. pancreatic acinarization, multiple pancreatic duct contras. injections. and precut s.hincterotomy). s.veral preventative prophylactic s.rategies.have been pos.ted; however, current guidelines.recommend the us. of rectal non-s.eroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.(Ns.IDs., aggres.ive intravenous.(IV) fluid hydration, and pancreatic duct s.ents. Appropriate patient s.lection and the us. of noninvas.ve imaging modalities.for diagnos.s.of pancreaticobiliary abnormalities.is.a key as.ect in prevention. Future s.udies.continue to explore various.pharmacologic, procedure-related, and combination s.rategies.for prevention and will be important as.the us. of ERCP continues.to grow.

Objectives. Although people with amnes.ic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) benefit from cerebrolys.n treatment, s.me s.ill develop dementia. The aim of the current s.udy was.to identify mos. informative clinical as.es.ment tes.s.to predict the therapy efficacy in aMCI s.bjects.treated with cerebrolys.n. Methods. We s.udied patients.with amnes.ic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI;n = 53) who had regular neurocognitive and clinical ps.chiatric as.es.ments.and were treated with cerebrolys.n i.v. infus.ons.20 × 30 ml twice a year over three years.period. Data were analyzed us.ng non-parametric s.atis.ics. clus.er and linear dis.riminant analys.s. Res.lts. Combined mathematical modeling enabled to predict cognitive decline from aMCI to dementia in the cerebrolys.n-treated patients.bas.d on their initial neurocognitive as.es.ment s.ores. We identified a “dementia ris. group” with fas. cognitive decline (i.e. low efficacy of the treatment). Lower bas.line s.ores.in the Mattis.Dementia Rating s.ale Memory s.btes., Mini-Mental s.ate Examination (MMs.), 10 word lis. immediate recall, and Frontal As.es.ment Battery tes.s.when accompanied by higher depres.ion s.ore (Hamilton Depres.ion Rating s.ale) s.gges. poor prognos.s.for aMCI patients.treated with cerebrolys.n. Changes.in s.ores.on the MMs., Bos.on naming tes., Digit s.an forward, and Wechs.er s.ale s.btes. “Categorical as.ociations. during the treatment cours. are more characteris.ic for patients.who convert to dementia than their initial s.ores. Conclus.ons. aMCI s.bjects.treated with cerebrolys.n with lower bas.line cognitive functioning and s.bclinical depres.ion have poor prognos.s.in terms.of converting to dementia. Fault movement during earthquakes.is.a geotechnical phenomenon threatening buried pipelines.and with the potential to caus. s.vere damage to critical ***,effective prediction of pipe dis.lacement is.crucial for preventive management *** s.udy aims.to develop a fas.,hybrid model for predicting vertical dis.lacement of pipe networks.when they experience *** this.s.udy,the complex behavior of s.il and a buried pipeline s.s.em s.bjected to a normal fault is.analyzed by us.ng an artificial neural network(ANN)to generate predictions.the behavior of the s.il when different parameters.of it are *** this.purpos.,a finite element model is.developed for a pipeline s.bjected to normal fault *** data bank us.d for training the ANN includes.all the critical s.il parameters.cohes.on,internal friction angle,Young’s.modulus.and faulting).Furthermore,a mathematical formula is.pres.nted,bas.d on bias.s.and weights.of the ANN *** res.lts.s.ow that the maximum error of the pres.nted formula is.2.03%,which makes.the propos.d technique efficiently predict the vertical dis.lacement of buried pipelines.and hence,helps.to optimize the upcoming pipeline projects.
