The influence of γ-aminobutyric type-A (GABAA) receptors agonist (muscimol hydrobromide, 0.1 μg/0.5 μl) injections into the right or left basolateral amygdala (BLA) on the behav.or of high-anxiety (HA) and low-anxiety (LA) rats subjected to the elev.ted plus-maze (EPM) test was inv.stigated. Anxiolytic-like effects (increase of open-arm entries and open-arm time) was rev.aled only after administration of muscimol into the left (but not right) amygdala of HA animals. No effect was observ.d upon administration of muscimol to LA rats. These findings suggest an important role in anxiety regulation of the amygdalar GABA lev.ls, and the assumed GABA hemispheric lateralization.

We propose a mathematic model of muscle cell membrane based on thin-walled elastic rod theory. A deformation occurs in rodents’ skeletal and cardiac cells during a period of antiorthostatic suspension. We carried out a quantitativ. ev.luation of the deformation using this model. The calculations showed the deformation in cardiac cells to be greater than in skeletal ones. This data corresponds to experimental results of cell response that appears intense in cardiomyocytes than in skeletal muscle cells. Moreov.r, the deformation in skeletal and heart muscle cells has a different direction (stretching v.. compression), corresponding to experimental data of different adaptiv. response generation pathways in cells because of external mechanical condition changes.

This research paper attempts to determine the relationship between agricultural import tariff and economic growth of Mercosur countries ov.r the period 1996-2007 using regression analysis as well as ev.luates the gains and losses from the group＇s trade policy ov.r the same period. The introductory part of this paper focuses on the dynamics of changes in economic growth, trade, and import tariff of these countries ov.r the last two decades. The results of the performed regression analysis of panel data suggest that trade liberalization has a quantitativ.ly significant positiv. effect on growth. By using the coefficient estimates on tariff, the authors perform a quantitativ. ev.luation of gains and losses from trade policy, for which tariff measures to trade （imports） are used as a proxy.

The aim of the present study was to determine the MICs using broth microdilution method and their combination effect by （minimum inhibitory concentrations） of selected antibiotic agents determination of FICindex （fractional inhibitory concentrations）. Lysozyme Anodonta cygnea was more activ. than Lysozyme Uniopictorum, especially against Gram-negativ. bacterias. Combination of Macropen and Lysozyme Unio pictorum has a synergistic effect, while a separation of these antibacterial agents was not activ. against some of the strains of microorganisms.

Recsod? has been used for treating epilepsy and ophthalmological disease. Oxidativ. stress has been demonstrated to be a pathogenic chain of these diseases. Parameters of pro- and antioxidant systems were studied in all the patients treated. Recsod? drug was shown to produce positiv. effect in all the patients. Improv.ment of patients’ clinical condition correlated with an increase in antioxidant activ.ties. Antioxidants, in particular, the recombinant human SOD drug, prov.d to be effectiv. in treatment of some neurological and ophthalmological diseases.

The first luminescence thermometer based on coordination compound of samarium and dysprosium is repo *** luminescence intensity and high signal resolution are reached thanks to the concentration quenching reduction due to the use of the trimetallic complexes of *** best thermometric properties in a wide temperature range among the studied systems are demonstrated by(Sm0.2Dy0.15Gd0.65)2(tph)3(H2O)*** sensitiv.ty reaches 0.5%/K in v.sible range and 1.2%/K in NIR range at low temperatures and 0.5%/K and 0.8%/K in physiological range.
