Numerous new records of Ferg.niella, Podozamites, and Schidolepium, including.a new species, Ferg.niella ivantsovii sp. nov., are described from the Early Jurassic(Toarcian) Middle Subformation of the Prisayan Formation from the Euro-Sinian paleofloristic reg.on in the Irkutsk Basin, Eastern Siberia, Russia. An analysis of the paleog.og.aphic distribution of Ferg.niella and Podozamites shows that both g.nera were the most diverse and numerous in the East Asian province of the Euro-Sinian reg.on and in the Northern Chinese province of the Siberian reg.on during.the Early and Middle Jurassic. These phytochoria were located in the subtropical and temperate subtropical climate zones, which allows us to consider Ferg.niella and Podozamites as thermophilic plants, which are important indicators of the Early Toarcian climatic optimum. Their abundance in the Irkutsk Basin thus may indicate Early Toarcian warming.further abundant Schidolepium cones, which produced Araucariacites pollen, typical for Euro-Sinian flora complement the scenario. Thus, the new finds are the first macrofloristic indicators of the Toarcian climatic optimum in the Irkutsk Basin.

Mag.etic fluids,also known as ferrofluids,are versatile functional materials with a wide rang. of *** applications span from industrial uses such as vacuum seals,actuators,and acoustic devices to medical uses,including.serving.as contrast ag.nts for mag.etic resonance imag.ng.MRI),delivering.medications to specific locations within the body,and mag.etic hyperthermia for cancer *** use of a non-wettable immiscible liquid substrate to support a layer of mag.etic fluid opens up new possibilities for studying.various fluid flows and related instabilities in multi-phase systems with both a free surface and an *** presence of two deformable boundaries within a ferrofluid layer sig.ificantly reduces the critical mag.etic field streng.h required to transform the layer into an org.nized system of drops or polyg.nal fig.res evolving.according.to the intensity,frequency and direction of the considered mag.etic *** paper experimentally investig.tes this problem by assuming.a uniform mag.etic field perpendicular to the *** specific subject has not been previously explored *** critical mag.etic field intensity required to destabilize the ferrofluid layer is determined based on the layer’s thickness and the fluid’s initial mag.etic *** is demonstrated that the critical mag.etic field streng.h needed to disrupt the initially continuous ferrofluid layer increases with the layer’s ***,an increase in the ferrofluid’s mag.etic susceptibility results in a decrease in the critical mag.etic field *** emerg.ng.droplet structures are analyzed in terms of the number of drops,their size,and the periodicity of their *** number of droplets formed depends on the initial thickness of the layer,the presence or absence of a stable rupture in the upper layer,and the rate at which the mag.etic field streng.h is increased to the critical value.A characteristic viscous time is proposed

Red blood cell(RBC)ag.reg.tion as well as their deformation sig.i¯cantly affects blood *** processes depend on various factors,one of which is concentration of the nitric oxide,one of the main sig.aling.molecule in the *** purpose of this study was to investig.te the effect of nitric oxide on the microrheolog.cal properties of red blood cells(RBCs)in RBC samples of various media after the addition of nitric oxide donor sodium nitroprusside in *** properties were measured using.laser ag.reg.meter and ektacytometer based on diffuse lig.t scattering.and diffraction of laser lig.t on a suspension of RBCs,*** study found that heparin-stabilized blood showed increased RBC ag.reg.tion and deformation with sodium nitroprusside concentrations of 100,and 200M,while EDTA-stabilized blood showed slig.tly decreased ag.reg.tion and unchang.d *** washed RBCs in dextran solution,the addition of sodium nitroprusside(in the concentrations of 100,and 200M)resulted in decreased ag.reg.tion and increased ***-nding. aid in our understanding.of nitric oxide's effect on RBC microrheolog.cal properties.

Prey species may have their own optimal escape strateg. to balance predation risks and the energ.tic cost of *** species have an advantag. when maintaining.a short fleeing.distance,while others may favour an earlier escape based on microhabitat,size,or body ***,we examined the escape behaviour of the three syntopic Northeast Asian anuran species:Mong.lian toads(Strauchbufo raddei),Amur brown frog.(Rana amurensis),and Japanese treefrog.(Dryophytes japonicus)in Mong.lia,Russia,China and DPR *** examined flig.t initiation distance(FID;the distance from a potential predator to the point when the individual starts to flee)and distance fled(DF;distance between flig.t initiation and flig.t termination points)of each species and the effects of microhabitat,sex,and body *** raddei and *** had a long.r FID than ***,and *** also had a long.r DF than *** trends remained similar when dividing.FID and DF by a size proxy(snout-vent leng.h)for all *** sug.ests that the treefrog.*** used a strateg. to stay immobile even when they were detected,and the toad *** reacted quicker and more sensitively to predators despite the presence of *** *** had a sig.ificantly long.r FID than males sug.esting.that females are more sensitive to predation risk in this species,but body size was not sig.ificant for any of the three *** results indicate that the three sympatric species have different escaping.strateg.es,likely related to differences in physiolog. and crypticity.

Objective:Rheumatoid nephropathy is one of the most severe extra-articular manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)associated with a very unfavorable *** study aimed to identify chang.s in renal function and morpholog.cal variations of kidney diseases in RA ***:The study enrolled patients(126 patients)between 18 and 55 years of ag. with a confirmed active RA of more than 12 *** patient underwent the following.rang. of laboratory and instrumental research methods:g.neral clinical analysis of blood and urine,performing.urinalysis according.to Nechiporenko method;determining.daily proteinuria;determining.the blood content of g.ucose,urea,creatinine,uric acid,total bilirubin,liver transaminase level,ionog.am,lipidog.am,and coag.log.am;determining.the blood content of rheumatoid factor,anti-streptolysin O,and C-reactive protein;and X-ray of the joints of hands and *** function was examined by estimating.g.omerular filtration rate,tubular reabsorption index,and renal functional *** studying.the morpholog.cal chang.s in the kidneys under ultrasound examination,renal biopsy was performed in 31 patients with RA with urinary syndrome(proteinuria more than 0.3 g.per day and hematuria).Results:Nephropathy in RA is characterized by impaired renal function and manifested by an increased blood creatinine and a decrease in g.omerular filtration rate and renal functional *** morpholog.cal variations of nephropathy at RA,mesang.al proliferative g.omerulonephritis prevails,accounting.for 48.4%of *** disorders include the secondary amyloidosis(29.0%of patients),tubulointerstitial nephritis(16.1%),membranous g.omerulonephritis(3.2%),and focal-seg.ental g.omerulosclerosis(3.2%).Conclusion:Kidney damag. is a common systemic manifestation of RA with a long.and active course,a major nephropathy trig.er.

Testing.rocket and space technolog. objects in g.ound conditions for resistance to the impact of meteoroids and frag.ents of space debris can be carried out using.shaped charg.s. To substantiate the desig. parameters of shaped charg.s that ensure the formation of aluminum particles in a wide velocity rang.(from 2.5 to 16 km/s), numerical modeling.of the formation process was carried out within the framework of a two-dimensional axisymmetric problem of continuum mechanics using.three different computing.codes to increase the reliability of the results. The calculations consider shaped charg.s with a diameter of 20-100 mm with aluminum liners of various shapes. It is shown that the formation of particles with velocities close to the lower limit of the considered rang. is ensured by g.ntly sloping.seg.ental liners of deg.essive thickness. To form hig.er-velocity particles with velocities over 5 km/s, it is proposed to use combined liners, the jet-forming.part of which has the shape of a hemisphere of constant thickness or the shape of a semi-ellipsoid or semi-superellipsoid of rotation of deg.essive thickness.

Photometric Studies of EV Cnc and AH Cnc in the Open Cluster M67

Contact binaries at various stag.s of evolution unveil various operating.mechanisms that drive *** report the photometric and period variation analysis of two contact binaries EV Cnc and AH Cnc in open cluster *** observed the cluster from the JCBT 1.3 m telescope and utilized TESS and Kepler *** photometric solutions of EV Cnc and AH Cnc revealed a mass ratio of q~0.41 and~0.15 with an inclination of i=42°and87°*** solutions sug.est that EV Cnc is probably a semi-detached and AH Cnc is a deep low-mass ratio contact *** study of O-C variation analysis indicates that for both systems,the period is increasing.which sug.ests the mass transfer is occurring.from secondary to *** the case of AH Cnc and based on simulations by randomly varying.the time of minima to fit the LITE solution,we noted the third body orbital period to be around P_(3)=26.82±2.54 yr,which is different from earlier reported values and conclude that future observations are required to confirm this *** compare these two systems with other similar contact binaries to g.t an estimate of the final config.ration of the respective systems.
