Thermodynamic descriptions of quaternary Mg-Al-Zn-Bi system supported by experiments and their application in descriptions of solidification behavior in Bi-additional AZ casting alloys

16 Mg-Al-Zn-Bi quaternary alloys were utilized to measure the phase equilibria and transformation temperatures in the Mg-rich Mg-Al-Zn-Bi quaternary system by means of the X-ray diffraction,electron probe micro-analysis and differential scanning calorimetry *** isothermal section at 400℃and three vertical sections along Mg-8 wt%Al-0.75 wt%Zn-vBi,Mg-3.4 wt%Al-0.5 wt%Zn-ABi and Mg-6.9 wt%Al-2.3 wt%Zn-xBi in the Mg-Al-Zn-Bi quaternary system were *** on the literature data,the ternary Mg-Al-Bi and Mg-Bi-Zn systems were re-assessed using the CALculaiton of PHAse Diagram(CALPHAD)*** calculated phase equilibria agree well with the measured *** directly extrapolating the constituent sub-ternary systems,the thermodynamic database for the Mg-Al-Zn-Bi quaternary system was *** remarkable consistency between the predicted phase equilibria and the presently measured data in Mg-Al-Zn-Bi quaternary system further demonstrated the accuracy and reliability of the established thermodynamic *** that,by using the newly developed thermodynamic database,the growth restrict factors and the solidification curves in Bi-containing AZ series magnesium alloys were calculated and *** was confirmed that the grain size of AZ alloys can be refined with the addition of Bi,and the comp on ent Al had larger grain refinement effect than ***,the amount of Bi had also no ticeable effect on the solidification sequence of the AZ alloys.

BACKGROUND Smartwatches have become readily accessible tools for detecting atrial fibrillation(AF).There remains limited data on how they affect psychosocial outcomes and engagement in older *** examine the health behavior outcomes of stroke survivors prescribed smartwatches for AF detection stratified by *** We analyzed data from the Pulsewatch study,a randomized controlled trial that enrolled patients(≥50 years)with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack and CHA2DS2-VASc≥*** participants were equipped with a cardiac patch monitor and a smartwatch-app dyad,while control participants wore the cardiac patch monitor for up to 44 *** evaluated health behavior parameters using standardized tools,including the Consumer Health Activation Index,the Generalized Anxiety Disorder questionnaire,the 12-Item Short Form Health Survey,and wear time of participants categorized into three age groups:Group 1(ages 50-60),Group 2(ages 61-69),and Group 3(ages 70-87).We performed statistical analysis using a mixedeffects repeated measures linear regression model to examine differences amongst age *** Comparative analysis between Groups 1,2 and 3 revealed no significant differences in anxiety,patient activation,perception of physical health and wear *** use of smartwatch technology was associated with a decrease in perception of mental health for Group 2 compared to Group 1(β=-3.29,P=0.046).CONCLUSION Stroke survivors demonstrated a willingness to use smartwatches for AF ***,among these study participants,the majority did not experience negative health behavior outcomes or decreased engagement as age increased.

Pulsating magneto-dipole radiation of a quaking neutron star powered by energy of Alfvn seismic vibrations

We compute the characteristic parameters of the magneto-dipole radiation of a neutron star undergoing torsional seismic vibrations under the action of Lorentz restoring force about an axis of a dipolar magnetic field experiencing decay. After a brief outline of the general theoretical background of the model of a vibration-powered neutron star, we present numerical estimates of basic vibration and radiation characteristics, such as frequency, lifetime and luminosity, and investigate their time dependence on magnetic field decay. The presented analysis suggests that a gradual decrease in frequencies of pulsating high-energy emission detected from a handful of currently monitored AXP/SGR-like X-ray sources can be explained as being produced by the vibration-powered magneto-dipole radiation of quaking magnetars.

Deep Norden： Highlights of the lithospheric structure of Northern Europe, Iceland, and Greenland

We present a review of geophysical models of the continental lithosphere of Norden, which includes the Nordic countries （Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden）, Greenland, and the adjacent regions of the neighbouring countries. The structure of the crust and the lithospheric mantle reflects the geologic evolution of Norden from Precambrian terrane accretion and subduction within the Baltic Shield and Greenland to Phanerozoic rifting, volcanism, magmatic crust formation, subduction and continent-continent collision at the edges of the cratons and at the plate boundaries. The proposed existence of a mantle plume below Iceland has not been uniquely demonstrated by the available seismic evidence. Its connection to the break-up of the North Atlantic Ocean c. 65 My ago is uncertain, but the 〉30 km thick crust in the strait between Iceland and Greenland may indicate the track of the plume. Using the results from seismic （reflection and refraction profiles, P- and S-wave, body-wave and surface-wave tomography）, thermal, gravity, and petrologic studies,we review the structure of the crust and the lithospheric mantle of Norden and propose an integrated model of physical properties of the lithosphere of the region, including maps of lateral variation in crustal and lithospheric thicknesses and compositional variation in the lithospheric mantle.

Splitting of Spectra in Anharmonic Oscillators Described by Kratzer Potential Function

A perturbation theory model that describes splitting of the spectra in highly symmetrical molecular species in electrostatic field is proposed. An anahrmonie model of a two-dimensional oscillator having Kratzer potential energy function is used to model the molecular species and to represent the unperturbed system. A selection rule for the radial quantum number of the oscillator is derived. The eigenfunctions of a two-dimensional anharmonic oscillator in cylindrical coordinates are used for the matrix elements representing the probability for energy transitions in dipole approximation to be calculated. Several forms of perturbation operators are proposed to model the interaction between the polyatomic molecular species and an electrostatic field. It is found that the degeneracy is removed in the presence of the electric field and spectral splitting occurs. Anharmonic approximation for the unperturbed system is more accurate and reliable representation of a reaJ polyatomic molecular species.

Infection with hepatotropic viruses is not limited to the liver and can lead to the development of various immunological disorders(the formation of cryoglobulins,rheumatoid factor,antinuclear antibodies,autoantibodies specific for autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary cholangitis,and others),which can manifest as glomerulonephritis,arthritis,uveitis,vasculitis(cryoglobulinemic vasculitis,polyarteritis nodosa,Henoch-Schonlein purpura,isolated cutaneous necrotizing vasculitis),and other rheumatologic disorders,and be a trigger for the subsequent development of autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary cholangitis.A further study of the association between autoimmune liver diseases and hepatotropic virus infection would be useful to assess the results of treatment of these associated diseases with antiviral *** relationship of these immune disorders and their manifestations with hepatotropic viruses is best studied for chronic hepatitis B and *** isolated cases of these associations are described for hepatitis *** links are least studied,and are often controversial for hepatitis E,possibly due to their relatively rare *** with uveitis,glomerulonephritis,arthritis,vasculitis,autoimmune liver diseases should be tested for biomarkers of viral hepatitis,and if present,these patients should be treated with antiviral drugs.

Gastroenteric tube feeding plays a major role in the management of patients with poor voluntary intake,chronic neurological or mechanical dysphagia or gut dysfunction,and patients who are critically ***,despite the benefits and widespread use of enteral tube feeding,some patients experience *** review aims to discuss and compare current knowledge regarding the clinical application of enteral tube feeding,together with associated complications and special *** conducted an extensive literature search on PubMed,Embase and Medline using index terms relating to enteral access,enteral feeding/nutrition,tube feeding,percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy/jejunostomy,endoscopic nasoenteric tube,nasogastric tube,and refeeding *** literature showed common routes of enteral access to include nasoenteral tube,gastrostomy and jejunostomy,while complications fall into four major categories:mechanical,e.g.,tube blockage or removal;gastrointestinal,e.g.,diarrhea;infectious e.g.,aspiration pneumonia,tube site infection;and metabolic,e.g.,refeeding syndrome,*** the type and frequency of complications arising from tube feeding vary considerably according to the chosen access route,gastrointestinal complications are without doubt the most *** associated with enteral tube feeding can be reduced by careful observance of guidelines,including those related to food composition,administration rate,portion size,food temperature and patient supervision.

Prediction of the flooding area of the northeastern Caspian Sea from satellite images

Studying the dynamic changes in the coastline of the northeastern Caspian Sea is significant since the level of the Caspian is unstable,and the coastline change can cause enormous damage to the ecology,economy,and population of the coastal part of *** this work,we use remote sensing and Geographic Information System(GIS)technologies to study the changes in the coastline of the northeastern Caspian Sea and predict the extent of flooding with increasing water *** proposed methodology for creating dynamic maps can be used to monitor the coastline and forecast the extent of flooding in the *** a result of this work,the main factors affecting changes in the coastline were *** analyzing the water level data from 1988 to 2019,it was revealed that the rise in water level was observed from 1980 to *** maximum sea level rise was recorded at-26.04 *** that,the sea level began to fall,and between 1996 and 2009,there were no significant changes;the water level fluctuated with an average of-27.18 ***,a map of the water level dynamics in the Caspian Sea from 1988 to 2019 was *** to the dynamics map,water level rise and significant coastal retreat were revealed,especially in the northern part of the Caspian Sea and the northern and southern parts of Sora *** method for predicting the estimated flooding area was *** a result,based on a single map,the flooding area of the northeast coast was predicted.A comparative analysis of Landsat and SRTM data is presented.

Atmospheric rivers(ARs)are an important component of the hydrological cycle linking moisture sources in lower latitudes to the Antarctic surface mass *** investigate AR signatures in the atmospheric vertical profiles at the Dronning Maud Land coast,East Antarctica,using regular and extra radiosonde measurements conducted during the Year of Polar Prediction Special Observing Period November 2018 to February *** AR events affecting the locations of Neumayer and Syowa cause a strong increase in specific humidity extending through the mid-troposphere and a strong low-level jet(LLJ).At Neumayer,the peak in the moisture inversion(up to 4 g kg^?1)is observed between 800 and 900 hPa,while the LLJ(up to 32 m s^?1)is concentrated below 900 *** Syowa the increase in humidity is less pronounced and peaks near the surface,while there is a substantial increase in wind speed(up to 40 m s?1)between 825 and 925 *** transport(MT)within the vertical profile during the ARs attains a maximum of 100 g kg?1 m s?1 at both locations,and is captured by both ERA-Interim and ERA5 reanalysis data at Neumayer,but is strongly underestimated at *** of the enhanced MT events during 2009?19 show that these events represent an extreme state of the lower-tropospheric profile compared to its median values with respect to temperature,humidity,wind speed and,consequently,*** temporal-and vertical-resolution radiosonde observations are important for understanding the contribution of these rare events to the total MT towards Antarctica and improving their representation in models.

Laccase-catalyzed bisphenol A oxidation in the presence of 10-propyl sulfonic acid phenoxazine

The kinetics of the Coriolopsis byrsina laccase-catalyzed bisphenol A（BisA） oxidation was investigated in the absence and presence of electron-transfer mediator 3-phenoxazin-10-ylpropane-1-sulfonic acid（PPSA） at pH 5.5 and 25°C. It was shown that oxidation rate of the hardly degrading compound BisA increased in the presence of the highly reactive substrate PPSA. The increase of reaction rate depends on PPSA and BisA concentrations as well on their ratio, e.g., at0.2 mmol/L of BisA and 2 μmol/L of PPSA the rate increased 2 times. The kinetic data were analyzed using a scheme of synergistic laccase-catalyzed BisA oxidation. The calculated constant, characterizing reactivity of PPSA with laccase, is almost 1000 times higher than the constant, characterizing reactivity of BisA with laccase. This means that mediator-assisted BisA oxidation rate can be 1000 times higher in comparison to non-mediator reaction if compounds concentration is equal but very low.
