Grain size is one of the critical agronomic traits governing grain yield and quality in ***,the underlying genetic mechanisms that control grain size in rice are poorly *** used an introgression line derived from Zhonghui 8015 and Oryza rufipogon *** introgression line was evaluated under two different environmental conditions to dissect the quantitative trait loci controlling grain ***-wide association study(GWAS)was performed using 28193 SNPs through a general linear model,and 56 significant SNPs on different loci associated with the 4 grain size traits were *** genes including GS3 and q GL3 showed substantial effects on grain length and *** new stable loci were identified with pleiotropic effects on grain ***,gene expression analyses,combined gene-based associations,and functional annotations permitted the shortlisting of important dominant genes including GS3 and q GL3.

The energy storage properties of (1-x)Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5)TiO_(3-x)BaTiO_(3)(0≤x≤0.08)(BNT-BT)ceramics obtained via sol-gel method are determined from the polarization versus electric field(P-E)loops at various *** energy storage densities are observed to increase with increase in temperature and this may be attributed to the presence of antiferroelectric(AFE)phase at higher temperature(≥120℃).Obvious changes are observed in the saturation polarization(P_(s)) and remnant polarization(P_(r)) with increasing *** maximum energy storage density of 0.6 J/cm^(3)is observed for x=0:06 in the AFE phase at 150℃for 90 kV/cm of applied electric ***-BT can be a promising candidate for energy storage devices to be used in above-roomtemperature environment.

以廉价的工业副产物醋酸及乳酸为碳源,对产PHB重组大肠杆菌进行培养,考察醋酸及乳酸的添加对重组大肠杆菌生长及PHB产量的影响。将来自Cupriavidus necator的PHB合成操纵子phaCAB基因簇克隆至pBAD载体,得到产PHB菌株BL21_pBAD_phaCAB,以阿拉伯糖为诱导剂,在大肠杆菌中进行重组表达。分别使用LB及M9培养基,对重组菌株BL21_pBAD_phaCAB进行培养,研究其生长速度及PHB产量,探索产PHB重组大肠杆菌最适培养基。以添加0.04 g/L乳酸、1.2 g/L乳酸、0.02 g/L醋酸、0.6 g/L醋酸、0.04 g/L乳酸+0.02 g/L醋酸、1.2 g/L乳酸+0.4 g/L醋酸的M9培养基(均含2 g/L葡萄糖)为实验组,以M9培养基(含2 g/L葡萄糖)为对照组,考察醋酸及乳酸的添加对重组大肠杆菌生长及PHB产量的影响。分别取第6,12,24和36小时的培养液,分析其葡萄糖、醋酸及乳酸含量的变化。结果表明,低氮型M9培养基更适合产PHB重组大肠杆菌在低糖培养环境中生长。在葡萄糖消耗殆尽后,大肠杆菌能够以醋酸及乳酸为碳源进行代谢,因此在培养基中添加一定浓度的醋酸及乳酸能够有效地提高重组菌株BL21_pBAD_phaCAB产PHB能力,在乳酸添加量为1.2 g/L时,PHB产量达到最高(1.43 g/L),比对照组提高78%。

SnS is a promising Ⅳ-Ⅵ semiconductor,which is very less explored for diluted magnetic semiconducting and dielectric *** this study,the Ni doping(xNi=0-10mol%) effects on SnS host lattice were investigated.A simple and low cost co-precipitation technique was employed to grow Ni doped SnS *** X-ray diffraction confirmed single phase orthorhombic structure with a nano-crystalline nature that was further verified through the surface structure observed by scanning electron *** edge x-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy revealed a shift in the Ni absorption edge towards higher energy,depicting the formation of Ni+3oxidation *** impedance measurements,in the frequency range 1 kHz to 20 MHz,depict that owing to the excellent sensitivity to the electromagnetic radiations at the low energy,the Ni doped SnS finds potential applications in various energy related *** sample magnetometer measurements have elucidated room temperature ferromagnetism,which depicts potential memory device applications.

At present,a variety of vaccines have been approved,and existing antiviral drugs are being tested to find an effective treatment for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,no standardized treatment has yet been approved by the World Health *** virally encoded chymotrypsin-like protease(3CL^(pro))from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),which facilitates the replication of SARS-CoV in the host cells,is one potential pharmacological target for the development of antiSARS *** search engines,such as Web of Science,Google Scholar,Scopus and PubMed,were used to retrieve data on the traditional uses of medicinal plants and their inhibitory effects against the SARS-CoV 3CL^(pro).Various pure compounds,including polyphenols,terpenoids,chalcones,alkaloids,biflavonoids,flavanones,anthraquinones and glycosides,have shown potent inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 3CL^(pro) activity with 50% inhibitory concentration(IC_(50))values ranging from 2-44μg/***,most of these active compounds,including xanthoangelol E(isolated from Angelica keiskei),dieckol 1(isolated from Ecklonia cava),amentoflavone(isolated from Torreya nucifera),celastrol,pristimerin,tingenone and iguesterin(isolated from Tripterygium regelii),tannic acid(isolated from Camellia sinensis),and theaflavin-3,3’-digallate,3-isotheaflav1in-3 gallate and dihydrotanshinone I(isolated from Salvia miltiorrhiza),had IC_(50)values of less than 15μg/*** mechanistic studies of several active compounds revealed that their mode of inhibition was dose-dependent and competitive,with K_(i)values ranging from 2.4-43.8μmol/*** the significance of plant-based compounds and the many promising results obtained,there is still need to explore the phytochemical and mechanistic potentials of plants and their *** medicinal plants could serve as an effective inexpensive nutraceutical for the general public to help manage COVID-19.

Effects of drug-polymer dispersions on solubility and in vitro diffusion of artemisinin across a polydimethylsiloxane membrane

Artemisinin(ART) is a sesquiterpene lactone with an endo-peroxide bridge that is thought to be responsible for its antimalarial *** has low oral bioavailability because of aqueous insolubility,which leads to local toxicity at the site of *** present work focused on increasing its solubility and evaluating its permeation across a model membrane to mimic transdermal delivery that bypasses the hepatic *** this purpose,physical mixtures(PM),solid dispersions(SD) and lyophilized dispersions(LD) with different drug-polymer ratios(1:0.5,1:1,1:2,1:4 and 1:9) were prepared using the hydrophilic polymer polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP).Drug-polymer dispersions were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).Solubility was measured in three solvents:de-ionized water,phosphate buffered saline(PBS) and *** toluene-water partition coefficient was evaluated and compared with the literature and calculated logP *** vitro diffusion of ART was studied across a polydimethylsiloxane membrane from a saturated solution of drug-polymer *** patterns showed a gradual decrease in crystallinity of ART with increasing polymer concentration,while FTIR confirmed no interactions between ART and *** was increased up to 4-,5-and 8-fold for LD in water,PBS and methanol,*** logP for toluene-water was 2.65 ± 0.3,which is in good agreement with literature and calculated logP *** was enhanced,which is attributed to the decrease in crystallinity and increase in wettability of the *** ART flux was significantly higher than that of pure ART(0.12 ± 0.01) with increasing PVP concentration for SD and LD *** conclusion,drug-polymer dispersions with PVP improve the pharmaceutical properties of ART in the order LD>SD>PM.
