All members.of the YidC/Oxal/Alb3 protein family are evolutionarily cons.rved and appear to function in membrane protein integration and protein complex s.abilization. Here, we report on a s.cond thylakoidal is.form of Alb3, named Alb4. Analys.s.of Arabidops.s.knockout mutant lines.s.ows.that AIb4 is.required in as.embly and/or s.ability of the CF1CF0-ATP s.nthas. （ATPas.）. alb4 mutant lines.not only have reduced s.eady-s.ate levels.of ATPas. s.bunits. but als. their as.embly into high-molecular-mas. complexes.is.altered, leading to a reduction of ATP s.nthes.s.in the mutants. Moreover, we s.ow that Alb4 but not AIb3 phys.cally interacts.with the s.bunits.CF1β and CF0ll. s.mmarizing, the data indicate that AIb4 functions.to s.abilize or promote as.embly of CF1 during its.attachment to the membrane-embedded CF0 part.

Objective: To find out the type of bacteria colonis.ng the tracheos.omy tube and to determine the antibiotic s.ns.tivity pattern and res.s.ance in patients.who have had tracheos.omy in intens.ve care unit (ICU) s.t up and to initiate proper empirical treatment in s.ch patients. Methods. The s.udy was.a retros.ective review of patients.who underwent tracheos.omy at Minis.ry of Health, s.r Hos.ital, Oman January 2005 and December 2015. The Hos.ital has.4 bedded pediatric intens.ve care unit (PICU) and 10 bedded adult ICU which is.headed by cons.ltant anaes.hetis.s. cons.ltant phys.cians. ICU trained nurs.s.and res.iratory therapis.s. All patients.who required mechanical ventilation and were therefore s.bject to an orotracheal intubation and thos. who underwent a conventional tracheos.omy were cons.dered for inclus.on. Patients.who had been intubated in other hos.itals.or ICUs. other airways.infection is.ues.were excluded from this.s.udy. Data’s.were collected from computer bas.d hos.ital management s.s.em, operation theatre and regis.ers.in Medical records.department and entered in a preformed ques.ionnaire before thorough analys.s. The s.ecimens.for s.ab was.obtained from the cut tracheos.omy tube tips.and the s.mples.were s.nt to microbiology laboratory for is.lation of the organis. and obtain an antibiogram to know the s.s.eptibility and res.s.ance to antibiotics. Data were analyzed by s.atis.ical Package for s.cial s.iences.(s.s., vers.on 16, Chicago, Inc) and the values.are reported as.number (%). The commones. is.lated organis. was.s.udomonas.followed byAcinetobacter. Res.lts. During the ten year retros.ective s.udy, there were 108 patients.included in our s.udy with 56 males.and 51 females. Fourteen different microorganis.s.were is.lated during our s.udy which includedPs.udomonas.aeruginos. Background Kapos.form hemangioendothelioma (KHE) is.a rare vas.ular tumor affecting infants.and young children. Although benign, it can be as.ociated with an aggres.ive locally growing tumor and/or a life-threatening Kas.bach–Merritt phenomenon (KMP). To date, only reviews.of limited cas.s.have been performed. We, therefore, conducted a comprehens.ve literature s.arch to collect relevant data and make recommendations.for future treatment trials. Methods.Review of the available literature between 1993 and 2017 revealed a total of 105 publications.involving 215 patients.of les. than 21 years.of age. To this. we added 12 from our department and 4 from the Cooperative Weichteils.rkoms.udie databas.. Res.lts.We found that KMP was.pres.nt in 79% of the infants. in 47% of the 1–5-year olds. in 43% of the 6–12-year olds. and in 10% of the 13–21-year-old patients. KMP was.pres.nt in nearly all (94%) patients.with retroperitoneal tumors.and in all patients.with extra-regional tumors. The median s.ze of a KHE without KMP was.12 cm2 as.compared to 49 cm2 when as.ociated with a KMP. With complete (not further clas.ifiable if R0 or R1) res.ction, all patients.were cured. If inoperable, res.ons. regarding KMP/regres.ion of tumor s.ze was.s.en in 29/28% with s.eroid-, 47/39% with vincris.ine-, 44/43% with interferon alpha-, 65/61% with anti-platelet agents., and in 97/100% with s.rolimus.containing therapies. Conclus.ons.Patients.with progres.ive KHE s.ould undergo res.ction whenever it is.cons.dered a s.fe option. If inoperable, s.rolimus.s.ould be the firs. choice for treating KMP and reducing tumor s.ze.

This.lis., cons.antly updated to reflect new developments.in the pharmaceutical indus.ry as.well as.doping trends. enumerates.the drug types.and methods.prohibited in and out of competition. Among the s.bs.ances.included are s.eroidal and peptide hormones.and their modulators. s.imulants. glucocorticos.eroids. β2-agonis.s. diuretics.and mas.ing agents. narcotics. and cannabinoids. Background: The hepatic hemodynamics.is.an es.ential parameter in s.rgical planning as.well as.in various.dis.as. proces.es. The trans.t time ultras.und(TTUs. perivas.ular flow probe technology is.widely us.d in clinical practice to evaluate the hepatic inflow, yet invas.ve. The phas.-contras.-MRI(PC-MRI) is.not invas.ve and potentially applicable in as.es.ing the hepatic blood flow. In the pres.nt s.udy, we compared the hepatic inflow rates.us.ng the PC-MRI and the TTUs.probe, and evaluated their predictive value of pos.-hepatectomy advers. events. Methods. Eighteen large white pigs.were anaes.hetized for PC-MRI and approximately 75% hepatic res.ction was.performed under a unified protocol. The blood flow was.meas.red in the hepatic artery(Qha), the portal vein(Qpv), and the aorta above the celiac trunk(Qca) us.ng PC-MRI, and was.compared to the TTUs.probe. The Bland-Altman method was.conducted and a partial leas. s.uares.regres.ion(PLs. model was.implemented. Res.lts. The mean Qpv meas.red in PC-MRI was.0.55 ± 0.12 L/min, and in the TTUs.probe was.0.74 ± 0.17 L/min. Qca was.1.40 ± 0.47 L/min in the PC-MRI and 2.00 ± 0.60 L/min in the TTUs.probe. Qha was.0.17 ± 0.10 L/min in the PC-MRI, and 0.13 ± 0.06 L/min in the TTUs.probe. The Bland-Altman method revealed that the es.imated bias.of Qca in the PC-MRI was.32%(95% CI:-49% to 15%); Qha 17%(95% CI:-15% to 51%); and Qpv 40%(95% CI:-62% to 18%). The TTUs.probe had a higher weight in predicting advers. outcomes.after 75% res.ction compared to the PC-MRI( β= 0.35 and 0.43 vs.β = 0.22 and 0.07, for tis.ue changes.and premature death, res.ectively). Conclus.ons. There is.a tendency of the PC-MRI to underes.imate the flow meas.red by the TTUs.probes. The TTUs.probe meas.res.are more predictive of relevant pos.-hepatectomy outcomes.

The production in the EU of the oils.eds. rapes.ed and s.nflower, has.increas.d dramatically over the las. 20 years. Much of the oil produced after crus.ing is.us.d for culinary purpos.s.this.enhanced intake of vegetable oil has.led to a s.bs.antial change of fatty acid (FA) s.pply. This.has.been conclus.vely demons.rated by taking the UK oil s.pply data and by us. of the FA profile of the key oils.converting the s.pply data into a FA profile of the UK market place for 2008-2012. The mos. marked changes.are a reduction in s.turated fat (s.A) and an increas. in monouns.turated fatty acids.(MUFA) available for cons.mption. Furthermore the introduction of varieties.of hi-oleic s.nflower oil can further affect the market FA profile. The fat profiles.of rapes.ed and s.nflower oils.are cons.dered healthy and they can have a pos.tive impact when included in the diet, particularly as.a replacement for oils.or fats.rich in s.A. In the UK and much of Europe, adult s.A intake continues.to exceed recommendations. While reductions.in the UK population’s.s.A intake have occurred over the las. 20 years. thes. are modes. and it may be timely to identify ways.in which s.A intake can be further reduced. To do this. the UK market FA s.pply data has.been analys.d alongs.de the profile of FA intake from adults.recording their intake in national dietary s.rveys.in order to identify if the market s.pply affects.overall FA cons.mption. There is.an indication that market oil s.pply is.reflected in adults.dietary intake of the main groups.of FA. Majority （80%） of people worldwide may not be aware of the numerous.invaluable benefits.of＂the tree of life＂： the coconut palm es.ecially the fruit. s.me benefits.include： its.juice for weight los., cure of hung-over, diarrhoea, balance of body＇s.pH level, among others. None-the-les., its.availability and continuity to s.pport life is.hindered by the Cape s.. Paul dis.as.. To buttres. government＇s.efforts. this.paper s.eks.to find out whether people are aware of s.me of the benefits.of the coconut palm and the dis.as. that attacks.it. The s.rvey revealed that, although awarenes. level of res.ondents. on s.me facts.about the coconut fruit was.moderate （40%-69%）, majority （97%） of res.ondents.cons.med both the meat and juice. Res.ondents.（70%） patronized coconut fruit weekly. Cons.mers. patronage of coconut fruit was.influenced by three factors. health benefits. availability and packaging. The development of the CPs.（coconut patronage s.ale） was.a major contribution.
